Characterization of sets of finite local and non local perimeter via non local heat equation
Abstract: In this paper we provide a characterization of sets of finite local and non local perimeter via a $Γ-$convergence result. As an application we give a proof of the isoperimetric inequality, both in the local and in the non local case.

Stability of the Gaussian Faber-Krahn inequality
Abstract: We prove a quantitative version of the Gaussian Faber-Krahn type inequality proved by Betta, Chiacchio and Ferone for the first Dirichlet eigenvalue of the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operator, estimating the deficit in terms of the Gaussian Fraenkel asymmetry. As expected, the multiplicative constant only depends on the prescribed Gaussian measure.

Some isoperimetric inequalities involving the boundary momentum
Abstract: The aim of this paper is twofold. In the first part of this paper we focus on a functional involving a weighted curvature integral and the quermassintegrals. We prove upper and lower bounds for this functional in the class of convex sets, which provide a stronger form of the classical Aleksandrov-Fenchel inequality involving the $(n-1)$ and $(n-2)$-quermassintegrals, and consequently a stronger fo… ▽ More

Convergence of the volume preserving fractional mean curvature flow for convex sets
Abstract: We prove that the volume preserving fractional mean curvature flow starting from a convex set does not develop singularities along the flow. By the recent result of Cesaroni-Novaga \cite{CN} this then implies that the flow converges to a ball exponentially fast. In the proof we show that the apriori estimates due to Cinti-Sinestrari-Valdinoci \cite{CSV2} imply the $C^{1+α}$-regularity of the flow… ▽ More

A remark on a conjecture on the symmetric Gaussian Problem
Abstract: In this paper we study the functional given by the integral of the mean curvature of a convex set with Gaussian weight with Gaussian volume constraint. It was conjectured that the ball centered at the origin is the only minimizer of such a functional for certain value of the mass. We give a positive answer in dimension two while in higher dimension the situation is different. In fact, for small va… ▽ More

Local Regularity of very weak $s$-harmonic functions via fractional difference quotients
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to give a new proof that any very weak $s$-harmonic function $u$ in the unit ball $B$ is smooth. As a first step, we improve the local summability properties of $u$. Then, we exploit a suitable version of the difference quotient method tailored to get rid of the singularity of the integral kernel and gain Sobolev regularity and local linear estimates of the… ▽ More

Some weighted isoperimetric inequalities in quantitative form
Abstract: In this paper we study two different weighted isoperimetric inequalities. In the first part of the paper we prove a sharp stability result for the isoperimetric inequality with a log-convex weight. In the second part we analize the behavior of a negative power weight for the perimeter thus providing a complete picture of the isoperimetric problem in this context.

A priori estimates for the motion of charged liquid drop: A dynamic approach via free boundary Euler equations
Abstract: We study the motion of charged liquid drop in three dimensions where the equations of motions are given by the Euler equations with free boundary with an electric field. This is a well-known problem in physics going back to the famous work by Rayleigh. Due to experiments and numerical simulations one expects the charged drop to form conical singularities called Taylor cones, which we interpret as… ▽ More

Asymptotics of the $s$-fractional Gaussian perimeter as $s\to 0^+$
Abstract: We study the asymptotic behaviour of the renormalised $s$-fractional Gaussian perimeter of a set $E$ inside a domain $Ω$ as $s\to 0^+$. Contrary to the Euclidean case, as the Gaussian measure is finite, the shape of the set at infinity does not matter, but, surprisingly, the limit set function is never additive.

Gamma-convergence of fractional Gaussian perimeter
Abstract: We prove the $Γ$-convergence of the renormalised fractional Gaussian $s$-perimeter to the Gaussian perimeter as $s\to 1^-$. Our definition of fractional perimeter comes from that of the fractional powers of Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operator given via Bochner subordination formula. As a typical feature of the Gaussian setting, the constant appearing in front of the $Γ$-limit does not depend on the dimens… ▽ More

A quantitative dimension free isoperimetric inequality for the fractional Gaussian perimeter
Abstract: We prove a quantitative isoperimetric inequality for the Gaussian fractional perimeter using extension techniques. Though the exponent of the Fraenkel asymmetry is not sharp, the constant appearing in the inequality does not depend on the dimension but only on the Gaussian volume of the set and on the fractional parameter.

A nonlocal approximation of the Gaussian perimeter: Gamma convergence and Isoperimetric properties
Abstract: We study a non local approximation of the Gaussian perimeter, proving the Gamma convergence to the local one. Surprisingly, in contrast with the local setting, the halfspace turns out to be a volume constrained stationary point if and only if the boundary hyperplane passes through the origin. In particular, this implies that Ehrhard symmetrization can in general increase the considered non local G… ▽ More

A two-phase problem with Robin conditions on the free boundary
Abstract: We study for the first time a two-phase free boundary problem in which the solution satisfies a Robin boundary condition. We consider the case in which the solution is continuous across the free boundary and we prove an existence and a regularity result for minimizers of the associated variational problem. Finally, in the appendix, we give an example of a class of Steiner symmetric minimizers.

A quantitative Weinstock inequality
Abstract: The paper is devoted to the study of a quantitative Weinstock inequality in higher dimension for the first non trivial Steklov eigenvalue of Laplace operator for convex sets. The key rule is played by a quantitative isoperimetric inequality which involves the boundary momentum, the volume and the perimeter of a convex open set of $\mathbb R^n$, $n \ge 2$.
