Bistability and Synchronization in Coupled Maps Models
Abstract: Several coupled maps models are sketched and reviewed in this short communication. First, a discrete logistic type model that was proposed for the symbiotic interaction of two species. Second, a model of many of these symbiotic species evolving together under the coupling action of a global mean field. Third, a similar model with many of these species interacting in a symbiotic way with the neares… ▽ More

Statistical magnitudes and the Klein tunneling in bi-layer graphene: influence of evanescent waves
Abstract: The problem of the Klein tunneling across a potential barrier in bi-layer graphene is addressed. The electron wave functions are treated as massive chiral particles. This treatment allows us to compute the statistical complexity and Fisher-Shannon information for each angle of incidence. The comparison of these magnitudes with the transmission coefficient through the barrier is performed. The role… ▽ More

Study of a model for the distribution of wealth
Abstract: An equation for the evolution of the distribution of wealth in a population of economic agents making binary transactions with a constant total amount of "money" has recently been proposed by one of us (RLR). The Importance of the Strategy in Backward Orbits
Abstract: This work considers reversed evolution in dynamical systems. In particular, asymptotic behavior of chaotic systems, when their orbits evolve backwards in time. Reversed dynamics reveals important aspects of the trajectories, such as a new necessary parameter. This is the strategy through which one orbit reaches an original state in the past.
