Metal halide perovskite solar cells being one of the fastest emerging technologies for renewable energy still has to become more industry friendly in a way that will allow using it for thin film modules or tandems with conventional silicon devices. The simplest way to achieve this is to use chemical vapor deposition (CVD) technique for tandem production. In this work, we show a method for a single step production of MAPbI3 films in a simple two-zone CVD reactor from lead diacetate and methyl-ammonium iodide powders. Obtained films show highly ordered cubic MAPbI3 phase with a thickness of 400-500 um, good photoluminescence response and absorption band edge similar to spin-coated film. We used those films to produce p-i-n solar cells with ITO/NiO/MAPbI3/C60/Cu structure. The best cell showed negligible 0.23 % PCE right after the manufacturing but significantly improved to 5.5 % PCE after 8 hours of storage in the dark. The main limiting factor affecting the efficiency is low current density, which we attribute to non-optimized growth conditions; however, our approach is a first step to a single step CVD deposition of MAPbI3 on any type of substrates including texturized silicon subcells for better overall efficiency.

We demonstrate an ionically gated planar PS-PV solar cell with ultra-thick fullerene ETL with a porous CNT electron collector on top of it. Perovskite photovoltaic devices usually have undoped electron transport layers, usually thin like C60 due to its high resistance. Metallic low work function cathodes are extremely unstable in PS-PV due to reaction with halogens I-/Br-, and it would be desirable to have stable carbon cathodes on top of thick low resistance ETL for enhancing the stability of PS-PVs. We show that gating such top CNT cathode in ionic liquid, as part of a supercapacitor charged by Vg tunes the Fermi level of CNT by EDL charging, and causes lowering of a barrier at of C60/C70 ETL. Moreover, at higher gating voltage ions further propagates into fullerene by electrochemical n-do**, which increases dramatically PV performance by raising mostly two parameters: Isc and FF, resulting in PCE efficiency raised from 3 % to 11 %. N-do** of ETL strongly enhances charge collection by ETL and CNT raising Isc and lowering series resistance and thus increasing strongly PCE. Surprisingly Voc is not sensitive in PS-PV to external Vg gating, on the contrary, to strongly enhanced Voc in ionically gated organic PV, where it is the main gating effect. This insensitivity of Voc to lowering of the work function of Vg gated CNT electrode is a clear indication that Voc in PS-PV is determined by inner p-i-n junction formation in PS itself, via accumulation of its intrinsic mobile ionic species halogens and cations and their vacancies.

Scattering of resonant radiation in a dense two-level medium is studied theoretically with account for local field effects and renormalization of the resonance frequency. Intrinsic optical bistability is viewed as switching between different spectral patterns of fluorescent light controlled by the incident field strength. Response spectra are calculated analytically for the entire hysteresis loop of atomic excitation. The equations to describe the non-linear interaction of an atomic ensemble with light are derived from the Bogolubov-Born-Green-Kirkwood-Yvon hierarchy for reduced single particle density matrices of atoms and quantized field modes and their correlation operators. The spectral power of scattered light with separated coherent and incoherent constituents is obtained straightforwardly within the hierarchy. The formula obtained for emission spectra can be used to distinguish between possible mechanisms suggested to produce intrinsic bistability.

Processes of mass communications in complicated social or sociobiological systems such as marketing, economics, politics, animal populations, etc. as a subject for the special scientific discipline - "mediaphysics" - are considered in its relation with sociophysics. A new statistical physics approach to analyze these phenomena is proposed. A keystone of the approach is an analysis of population distribution between two or many alternatives: brands, political affiliations, or opinions. Relative distances between a state of a "person's mind" and the alternatives are measures of propensity to buy (to affiliate, or to have a certain opinion). The distribution of population by those relative distances is time dependent and affected by external (economic, social, marketing, natural) and internal (mean-field influential propagation of opinions, synergy effects, etc.) factors, considered as fields. Specifically, the interaction and opinion-influence field can be generalized to incorporate important elements of Ising-spin based sociophysical models and kinetic-equation ones. The distributions were described by a Schrodinger-type equation in terms of Green's functions. The developed approach has been applied to a real mass-media efficiency problem for a large company and generally demonstrated very good results despite low initial correlations of factors and the target variable.

Abstract:
A new quantitative theory for polyelectrolytes in salt free dilute solutions is developed. Depending on the electrostatic interaction strength, polyelectrolytes in solutions can undergo strong stretching (with polyelectrolyte dimension R_g\sim l_B^{1/3}N, where l_B is the Bjerrum length and N is the number of the chain segments) or strong compression (with R_g\sim l_B^{-1/2}N^{1/3}). A strong polymer collapse occurs as a first-order phase transition due to accompanying counterion condensation.
