The contact specular microscope has a wider angle of view than that of the non-contact specular microscope but still cannot capture an image of the entire cornea. To obtain such an image, it is necessary to prepare film on the parts of the image captured sequentially and combine them to create a complete image. This study proposes a framework to automatically generate an entire corneal image from videos captured using a contact specular microscope. Relatively focused images were extracted from the videos and panoramic compositing was performed. If an entire image can be generated, it is possible to detect guttae from the image and examine the extent of their presence. The system was implemented and the effectiveness of the proposed framework was examined. The system was implemented using custom-made composite software, Image Composite Software (ICS, K.I. Technology Co., Ltd., Japan, internal algorithms not disclosed), and a supervised learning model using U-Net was used for guttae detection. Several images were correctly synthesized when the constructed system was applied to 94 different corneal videos obtained from Fuchs endothelial corneal dystrophy (FECD) mouse model. The implementation and application of the method to the data in this study confirmed its effectiveness. Owing to the minimal quantitative evaluation performed, such as accuracy with implementation, it may pose some limitations for future investigations.

Abstract:
We report the fabrication of small (Ba,A)Fe2As2 (A: Na, K) coils using 10 m-class long round wires, fabricated by powder-in-tube (PIT) method. Coils are sintered using hot-isostatic-press (HIP) technique after glass-fiber insulations are installed. Critical current (Ic) of the whole coil using (Ba,Na)Fe2As2 and (Ba,K)Fe2As2 are 60 A and 66 A under the self-field, and the generated magnetic fields…

Coils are sintered using hot-isostatic-press (HIP) technique after glass-fiber insulations are installed. Critical current (Ic) of the whole coil using (Ba,Na)Fe2As2 and (Ba,K)Fe2As2 are 60 A and 66 A under the self-field, and the generated magnetic fields at the center of the coil reach 2.6 kOe and 2.5 kOe, respectively. Furthermore, the largest transport critical current density (Jc) and Ic in (Ba,Na)Fe2As2 wires picked up from the coil reach 54 kAcm-2 and 51.8 A at T = 4.2 K under a magnetic field of 100 kOe, respectively. This value exceeds transport Jc of all previous iron-based superconducting round wires. Texturing of grains in the core of the wire due to the improvement of the wire drawing process plays a key role for the enhancement of Jc.

Leveraging findings from memory systems in biological brains, the decision stack framework operationalizes the definition of explainability and then proposes a test that can potentially reveal how a given AI decision came to its conclusion.

Abstract:
(Ba,K)Fe2As2 superconducting wires and tapes are fabricated by using hot isostatic pressing (HIP) technique, and their superconducting properties are studied. Improvement of polycrystalline powder synthesis may play a key role for the enhancement of Jc. In the HIP tape, even larger transport Jc of 380 kA/cm2 is realized at zero field. Based on magnetization and magneto-optical measurements, possible further enhancement of Jc is discussed.

We study effects of CP violation in a modified bipair neutrino mixing scheme predicting $\sin^2θ_{23}$ near both 0.4 and 0.6 currently consistent with experimentally allowed values. The source of CP violation is supplied by charged lepton mixing accompanied by a single phase, whose mixing size is assumed to be less than that of the Wolfenstein parameter for the quark mixing. Including results of leptogenesis, which is based on the minimal seesaw model, we obtain the allowed region of CP-violating Dirac and Majorana phases, which provides the observed baryon asymmetry of the universe in the case of the Dirac neutrino mass matrix subject to one zero texture.

With the very promising potential of this material in mind, we have fabricated a (Ba,K)Fe2As2 superconducting wire through a powder-in-tube method combined with the hot isostatic pressing technique, whose effectiveness has been proven in industrial Bi2223 tapes. The Jc in the wire at 4.2 K has reached 37 kA/cm2 under self-field and 3.0 kA/cm2 at 90 kOe. Magneto-optical imaging of the wire confirmed the large intergranular Jc in the wire core.
