Motivated by the long-standing discrepancy in lepton flavor universality ratios $R_D$ and $R_{D^{\ast}}$ we assess the status of scalar leptoquark states $R_2$, $\widetilde R_2$ and $S_1$ which can in principle provide a desired enhancement of $\mathcal{B}(B\to D^{(\ast )}τν)$ in a minimal setup with two Yukawa couplings only. We consider unavoidable low-energy constraints, $Z$-pole measurements as well as high-$p_T$ constraints. After setting mass of each leptoquark to $1.5$ TeV we find that of all considered states only $S_1$ leptoquark, coupled to both chiralities of leptons and quarks, is still a completely viable solution while the scenario with $R_2$ is in growing tension with $Γ(Z \to ττ)$ and with the LHC constraints on the di-tau tails at high-$p_T$. We comment on the future experimental tests of $S_1$ scenario.

We also explore how their effects could be in principle disentangled from possible local new physics effects using $U$-spin relations. To this end, we construct a ratio of CP-odd decay rate differences which are exactly predicted within the standard model in the $U$-spin limit, while the leading $U$-spin breaking effects can also be systematically calculated. Our results motivate binned measurements of the direct CP asymmetry in $B^\pm\to π^\pm \ell^+ \ell^-$ as well as dedicated theoretical estimates of $U$-spin breaking both in local form factors as well as in four-quark matrix elements.

We explore CP-violating (CPV) effects of heavy New Physics in flavour-changing quark dipole transitions, within the framework of Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT). First, we establish the relevant dimension six operators and consider the Renormalisation Group (RG) evolution of the appropriate Wilson coefficients. We investigate RG-induced correlations between different flavour-violating processes and electric dipole moments (EDMs) within the Minimal Flavour Violating and $U(2)^3$ quark flavour models. At low energies, we set bounds on the Wilson coefficients of the dipole operators using CPV induced contributions to observables in non-leptonic and radiative $B$, $D$ and $K$ decays as well as the neutron and electron EDMs. This enables us to connect observable CPV effects at low energies and general NP appearing at high scales. We present bounds on the Wilson coefficients of the relevant SMEFT operators at the high scale $Λ= 5~{\rm TeV}$, and discuss most sensitive CPV observables for future experimental searches.

We update the analysis of its parameter space and show that a model remains viable and consistent with a number of low energy and high energy flavor physics constraints. Since the model predicts a non-zero New Physics phase, we discuss the possibility to test its contribution to the neutron electric dipole moment and to the angular distributions of the exclusive $b\to cτ\bar ν$ decays. We find that the model can provide a significant enhancement to $\mathcal{B}(B\to K^{(\ast)}νν)$ and provides both the upper and lower bounds to $\mathcal{B}(B\to K^{(\ast)}μτ)$.

Combining the constraints within the $S_3$ model reveals that a large CP phase with a definite sign is perfectly viable for a leptoquark of mass below a few TeV. For larger mass of the $S_3$ leptoquark the CP phase is suppressed due to the observables pertaining to the $B_s$ system. We provide predictions of direct and mixing-induced CP asymmetries in $B \to K μμ$ that could reveal the presence of the novel CP phase.

We investigate scenarios with $\mathcal{O}(1\mathrm{\,TeV})$ scalar leptoquarks that act as portals between the Standard Model and Dark Matter. We assume that Dark Matter is a scalar singlet $S$ which couples to a scalar leptoquark $Δ$ and the Higgs boson via the terms in the scalar potential. In addition, the leptoquark is endowed with Yukawa couplings to quarks and leptons that may address the anomalies in $B$ meson decays. We consider the $SS$ annihilation cross sections to estimate the Dark Matter relic abundance and explore the interplay between astrophysical, collider and flavour physics bounds on such models. In the heavy Dark Matter window, $m_S > m_Δ$, the leptoquark portal becomes the dominant mechanism to explain the Dark Matter abundance. We find that the leptoquark Yukawa couplings, relevant for quark and lepton flavour physics, are decoupled from the dark matter phenomenology. By focussing on a scenario with a single leptoquark state, we find that relic density can only be explained when both $Δ$ and $S$ masses are lighter than $\mathcal{O}(10\mathrm{\,TeV})$.

A presence of the weak CP-violating phase can then be tested by measuring the CP-asymmetry, $\mathcal{A}_\mathrm{CP}$. We show that this asymmetry is enhanced around the peak of each $c\bar c$-resonance, and in fact more pronounced in the close vicinity of $J/ψ$ and $ψ(2S)$. Therefore, measuring $\mathcal{A}_\mathrm{CP}$ before and after the resonances' peak could be revelatory of the CP-violation that originates from beyond the Standard Model, or to be a significant constrain when building a realistic scenario of New Physics.

We analyze the prospects of probing the $CP$-odd $i \tilde κ\bar t γ^5 t h$ interaction at the LHC and its projected upgrades, the high-luminosity and high-energy LHC, directly using associated on-shell Higgs boson and top quark or top quark pair production. To this end we first construct a $CP$-odd observable based on top quark polarization in $W b \to t h$ scattering with optimal linear sensitivity to $\tilde κ$. For the corresponding hadronic process $pp \to t h j$ we present a method of extracting the phase-space dependent weight function that allows to retain close to optimal sensitivity to $\tildeκ$. We project future sensitivity to the signal in $pp \to t(\to \ell νb )h(\to b\bar b) j$. Based on these insights we propose novel $CP$-odd observables for top quark pair production in association with the Higgs, $pp \to t \bar t h$, with semileptonically decaying tops and $h\to \bar b b$, that rely solely on measuring the momenta of leptons and $b$-jets from the decaying tops without having to distinguish the charge of the $b$-jets. Among the many possibilities we single out an observable that can potentially probe $\tilde κ\sim 0.5$ at the high-luminosity LHC and $\tilde κ\sim 0.1$ at high-energy LHC with $2σ$ confidence.

Grand Unified Theories (GUTs) are one of the most interesting high-energy completions of the Standard Model, because they provide a rich, powerful and elegant group-theoretical framework able to resolve a variety of problems remaining in our current understanding of particle physics. They usually act as motivators for many low energy BSM theories, such as left-right symmetric or supersymmetric models, and they serve to fill the gap between the experimentally reachable low energies and the physics in the ultraviolet. In recent years, however, they have fallen slightly from the spotlight, in favour of `simplified' models with more specific phenomenological predictions. The aim of this review is to summarize the state of the art on GUTs and argue for their importance in modern physics. Recent advances in experiments permit to test the predictions of GUTs at different energy scales. First, as GUTs can play a role in the inflationary dynamics of the early Universe, their imprints could be found in the CMB observations by the Planck satellite. Remarkably enough, GUTs could manifest themselves also in terrestrial tests; several planned experiments aim to probe the proton stability and to establish order of magnitude higher bounds on its lifetime. Moreover, the predictions of specific GUT models could be tested even at the LHC thanks to its high energy reach, via searches for exotic states or additional contributions to flavour anomalies.

Belle II collected its first collisions in 2018, and is expected to operate for the next decade. It is anticipated to collect 50/ab of collision data over its lifetime. This book is the outcome of a joint effort of Belle II collaborators and theorists through the Belle II theory interface platform (B2TiP), an effort that commenced in 2014. The aim of B2TiP was to elucidate the potential impacts of the Belle II program, which includes a wide scope of physics topics: B physics, charm, tau, quarkonium, electroweak precision measurements and dark sector searches. It is composed of nine working groups (WGs), which are coordinated by teams of theorist and experimentalists conveners: Semileptonic and leptonic B decays, Radiative and Electroweak penguins, phi_1 and phi_2 (time-dependent CP violation) measurements, phi_3 measurements, Charmless hadronic B decay, Charm, Quarkonium(like), tau and low-multiplicity processes, new physics and global fit analyses. This book highlights "golden- and silver-channels", i.e. those that would have the highest potential impact in the field. Theorists scrutinised the role of those measurements and estimated the respective theoretical uncertainties, achievable now as well as prospects for the future. Experimentalists investigated the expected improvements with the large dataset expected from Belle II, taking into account improved performance from the upgraded detector.

The $ K \to πν\barν$ branching ratios are expected to be measured with $ \sim 10\% $ accuracies by NA62/CERN and KOTO/JPARC. The theoretical uncertainties of branching ratios within the SM are well under control. In the $ B $ sector, it is tentative to explain the $ B $-meson anomalies $ R_{D^{(\ast)}} $ and/or $ R_{K^{(\ast)}} $ by effects of physics beyond the SM. Although NP seems to be present in the third fermion generation it might also manifest in the flavor changing neutral current transition $ s \to d $. Together with the anticipated good experimental sensitivities and accurate theoretical predictions for $ K\to πν\bar ν$, this motivates studies of correlated effects of NP in rare $ K\to πν\bar ν$ and $ B \to K^{(*)} μ^+ μ^- $ decays. Here we consider the loop induced effects in $ K \to πν\barν$ in two leptoquark models designed to address lepton-flavor universality violation in the $ R_{K^{(\ast)}} $ anomalies.

We investigate the ability of the $S_3$ scalar leptoquark to address the recent hints of lepton universality violation in $B$ meson decays. The $S_3$ leptoquark with quantum numbers $(\overline{\mathbf{3}},\mathbf{3},1/3)$ naturally emerges in the context of an $SU(5)$ GUT model without any conflict with the stringent limits from observed nucleon stability. Scalar leptoquark $S_3$ with left-handed couplings to 2nd and 3rd generations of charged leptons and down-type quarks seems well-suited to address both $R_{K^{(*)}}$ and $R_{D^{(*)}}$. We quantify this suitability with numerical fits to a plethora of relevant flavor observables. The proposed $SU(5)$ model calls for a second leptoquark state, i.e., $\tilde{R}_2$ with quantum numbers $(\mathbf{3},\mathbf{2},1/6)$, if one is to generate gauge coupling unification and neutrino mass. We accordingly include it in our study to investigate $\tilde{R}_2$'s ability to offset adverse effects of $S_3$ and thus improve a quality of numerical fits. A global fit of the leptoquark Yukawa couplings shows that large couplings of light $S_3$ to $τ$ leptons are preferred. We furthermore identify $B \to K^{(*)} \barνν$ as the most sensitive channel to probe the preferred region of parameter space. Large couplings of $S_3$ to $τ$ leptons are finally confronted with the experimental searches for $τ$ final states at the Large Hadron Collider. These searches comprise a study of decay products of the leptoquark pair production, as well as, and more importantly, an analysis of the high-mass $ττ$ final states.

We demonstrate viability of the one-loop neutrino mass mechanism within the framework of grand unification when the loop particles comprise scalar leptoquarks (LQs) and quarks of the matching electric charge. This mechanism can be implemented in both supersymmetric and non-supersymmetric models and requires the presence of at least one LQ pair. The appropriate pairs for the neutrino mass generation via the up-type and down-type quark loops are $S_3$-$R_2$ and $S_{1,\,3}$-$\tilde{R}_2$, respectively. We consider two phenomenologically distinct regimes for the LQ masses in our analysis. First regime calls for very heavy LQs in the loop. It can be naturally realised with the $S_{1,\,3}$-$\tilde{R}_2$ scenarios when the LQ masses are roughly between $10^{12}$ GeV and $5 \times 10^{13}$ GeV. These lower and upper bounds originate from experimental limits on partial proton decay lifetimes and perturbativity constraints, respectively. Second regime corresponds to the collider accessible LQs in the neutrino mass loop. That option is viable for the $S_3$-$\tilde{R}_2$ scenario in the models of unification that we discuss. If one furthermore assumes the presence of the type II see-saw mechanism there is an additional contribution from the $S_3$-$R_2$ scenario that needs to be taken into account beside the type II see-saw contribution itself. We provide a complete list of renormalizable operators that yield necessary mixing of all aforementioned LQ pairs using the language of $SU(5)$. We furthermore discuss several possible embeddings of this mechanism in $SU(5)$ and $SO(10)$ gauge groups.

We show that two such scenarios are phenomenologically plausible, namely the one with a doublet of scalar leptoquarks of hypercharge $1/6$, and the one with a triplet of vector leptoquarks of hypercharge $2/3$. We also argue that a model with a singlet scalar leptoquark of hypercharge $1/3$ is not viable. Using the present experimental data as constraints, it is shown that the exclusive lepton flavor violating decays, $\mathcal{B}(B_s\to μτ)$, $\mathcal{B}(B\to K μτ)$ and $\mathcal{B}(B\to K^\ast μτ)$, can be as large as $\mathcal{O}(10^{-5})$.

We present a comprehensive review of physics effects generated by leptoquarks (LQs), i.e., hypothetical particles that can turn quarks into leptons and vice versa, of either scalar or vector nature. These considerations include discussion of possible completions of the Standard Model that contain LQ fields. The main focus of the review is on those LQ scenarios that are not problematic with regard to proton stability. We accordingly concentrate on the phenomenology of light leptoquarks that is relevant for precision experiments and particle colliders. Important constraints on LQ interactions with matter are derived from precision low-energy observables such as electric dipole moments, (g-2) of charged leptons, atomic parity violation, neutral meson mixing, Kaon, B, and D meson decays, etc. We provide a general analysis of indirect constraints on the strength of LQ interactions with the quarks and leptons to make statements that are as model independent as possible. We address complementary constraints that originate from electroweak precision measurements, top, and Higgs physics. The Higgs physics analysis we present covers not only the most recent but also expected results from the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). We finally discuss direct LQ searches. Current experimental situation is summarized and self-consistency of assumptions that go into existing accelerator-based searches is discussed. A progress in making next-to-leading order predictions for both pair and single LQ productions at colliders is also outlined.

The field in question is the Standard Model singlet that resides in the adjoint representation that breaks SU(5) down to SU(3) x SU(2) x U(1). We also show that the required production and subsequent decay to two photons of this singlet can be induced by individual or combined contribution of two scalar multiplets $S_3$ and $R_2$ that transform as (3,3,-1/3) and (3,2,7/6) under SU(3) x SU(2) x U(1), respectively. The individual dominance of these multiplets is directly related to the issue of the charged fermion mass generation within the SU(5) framework and can be unambiguously tested through the diboson decay signatures of the Standard Model singlet field.

The LHCb bounds on the branching ratio of rare decay $D^0 \to μ^+ μ^-$ and the constraints on the branching ratio of $D^+ \to π^+ μ^+ μ^-$ in the nonresonant regions enable us to improve constraints on new physics contributions. Using the effective Lagrangian approach we determine sizes of the Wilson coefficients allowed by the existing LHCb bounds on rare charm decays. Then we discuss contributions to rare charm meson decay observables in several models of new physics: a model with an additional spin-1 weak triplet, leptoquark models, Two Higgs doublets model of type III, and a $Z'$ model. Here we complement the discussion by $D^0 - \bar D^0$ oscillations data. Among considered models, only leptoquarks can significantly modify Wilson coefficients. Assuming that the differential decay width for $D^+ \to π^+ μ^+ μ^-$ receives NP contribution, while the differential decay width for $D^+ \to π^+ e^+ e^-$ is Standard Model-like, we find that lepton flavor universality can be violated and might be observed at high dilepton invariant mass.

We derive a robust lower bound on the Higgs boson coupling strength to a tau and a muon, even in presence of the most general new physics affecting other Higgs properties. Then we reevaluate complementary indirect constraints coming from low energy observables as well as from theoretical considerations. In particular, the tentative signal should lead to $τ\to μγ$ at rates which could be observed at Belle II. In turn we show that, barring fine-tuned cancellations, the effect can be accommodated within models with an extended scalar sector. A specific realization of this scenario is the one with a scalar leptoquark state $Δ$, in which $C_{10}^\prime$ is related to the mass of $Δ$ and its Yukawa couplings. We then show that this scenario does not make any significant impact on $B_s-\overline B_s$ mixing amplitude nor to $ {\cal B}(B\to Kν\bar ν)$. Instead, it can modify $R_{K^\ast}= {\cal B}(B\to K^\ast μμ)/ {\cal B}(B\to K^\ast ee)_{[1,6]\,\mathrm{GeV}^2}$, which will soon be experimentally measured and we find it to be $R_{K^\ast}= 1.11(8)$, while $R_{K^\ast}/R_K= 1.27(19)$. A similar ratio of forward-backward asymmetries also becomes lower than in the Standard Model.

The presence of a colored scalar that is a weak doublet with fractional electric charges of $|Q|=2/3$ and $|Q|=5/3$ with mass below 1,TeV can provide an explanation of the observed branching ratios in $B \to D^{(*)} τ\bar ν$ decays. The required combination of scalar and tensor operators in the effective Hamiltonian for $b \to c τ\bar ν$ is generated through the $t$-channel exchange. We focus on a scenario with a minimal set of Yukawa couplings that can address a semitauonic puzzle and show that its resolution puts a nontrivial bound on the product of the scalar couplings to $\bar τb$ and $\bar c ν$. We also derive additional constraints posed by $Z \to b\bar b$, muon magnetic moment, lepton flavor violating decays $μ\to e γ$, $τ\to μγ$, $τ\to e γ$, and $τ$ electric dipole moment. The minimal set of Yukawa couplings is not only compatible with the mass generation in an SU(5) unification framework, a natural environment for colored scalars, but specifies all matter mixing parameters except for one angle in the up-type quark sector. We accordingly spell out predictions for the proton decay signatures through gauge boson exchange and show that $p \rightarrow π^0 e^+$ is suppressed with respect to $p \rightarrow K^+ \barν$ and even $p \rightarrow K^0 e^+$ in some parts of available parameter space. Impact of the colored scalar embedding in 45-dimensional representation of SU(5) on low-energy phenomenology is also presented. Finally, we make predictions for rare top and charm decays where presence of this scalar can be tested independently.

Performing a model independent analysis, we identify as appropriate observables the differential direct CP asymmetry and partial decay width CP asymmetry. We find that in the most promising decays $D^+ \to π^+ \ell^+ \ell^-$ and $D_s^+ \to K^+ \ell^+ \ell^-$ the "peak-symmetric" and "peak-antisymmetric" CP asymmetries are strong phase dependent and can be of the order 1% and 10%, respectively.

We list scalar leptoquarks that mediate proton decay via renormalizable couplings to the Standard Model fermions. We employ a general basis of baryon number violating operators to parameterize contributions of each leptoquark towards proton decay. This then sets the stage for investigation of bounds on the leptoquark couplings to fermions with respect to the most current Super Kamiokande results on proton stability. We quantify if, and when, it is necessary to have leptoquark masses close to a scale of grand unification in the realistic SU(5) and flipped SU(5) frameworks. The most and the least conservative lower bounds on the leptoquark masses are then presented. We furthermore single out a leptoquark without phenomenologically dangerous tree-level exchanges that might explain discrepancy of the forward-backward asymmetries in $t \bar t$ production observed at Tevatron, if relatively light. The same state could also play significant role in explaining muon anomalous magnetic moment. We identify contributions of this leptoquark to dimension-six operators, mediated through a box diagram, and tree-level dimension-nine operators, that would destabilize proton if sizable leptoquark and diquark couplings were to be simultaneously present.

We perform a fit of the relevant scalar couplings. This approach can explain the $(g-2)_μ$ anomaly while tensions among the CP violating observables in the quark sector, most notably the nonstandard CP phase (and width difference) in the $B_s$ system cannot be fully relaxed. We investigate the role of this state in a plethora of flavor changing neutral current processes and precision observables of down-quarks and charged leptons. Our analysis includes tree- and loop-level mediated observables in the K and B systems, the charged lepton sector, as well as the Z to b bbar decay width. We perform a global fit of the relevant scalar couplings. This approach can explain the (g-2)_mu anomaly while tensions among the CP violating observables in the quark sector, most notably the nonstandard CP phase (and width difference) in the Bs system cannot be fully relaxed. The results are interpreted in a class of grand unified models which allow for a light colored scalar with a mass below 1TeV. We find that the renormalizable SU(5) scenario is not compatible with our global fit, while in the SO(10) case the viability requires the presence of both the 126- and 120-dimensional representations.

The measured forward-backward asymmetry in the t tbar production at the Tevatron might be explained by the additional exchange of a colored weak singlet scalar. Such state appears in some of the grand unified theories and its interactions with the up-quarks are purely antisymmetric in flavor space. We systematically investigate the resulting impact on charm and top quark physics. The constraints on the relevant Yukawa couplings come from the experimentally measured observables related to D0--D0bar oscillations, as well as di-jet and single top production measurements at the Tevatron. After fully constraining the relevant Yukawa couplings, we predict possible signatures of this model in rare top quark decays. In a class of grand unified models we demonstrate how the obtained information enables to constrain the Yukawa couplings of the up-quarks at very high energy scale.

The experimental results on the t bar t production cross section at the Tevatron are well described by the QCD contributions within the standard model, while the recent measurement of the forward-backward asymmetry cannot be accounted for within this framework. We consider light colored scalars appearing in a particular SU(5) GUT model within the 45-dimensional Higgs representation. A virtue of the model is that it connects the presence of a light colored SU(2) singlet (Delta_6) and a color octet weak doublet (Delta_1) with bounds on the proton lifetime, which constrain the parameter space of both scalars. We find that both the t bar t production cross section and the forward-backward asymmetry can be accommodated simultaneously within this model. The experimental results prefer a region for the mass of Delta_6 around 400 GeV, while Delta_1 is then constrained to have a mass around the TeV scale as well. We analyze possible experimental signatures and find that Delta_6 associated top production could be probed in the t bar t + jets final states at Tevatron and the LHC.

Abstract:
Charm procceses are usually not considered to be favorable candidates in the search for new physics. Recent disagreement between experimental and lattice QCD results on the D_s decay constant has motivated us to systematically reinvestigate role of leptoquarks in rare charm meson decays. We include constrains coming from the light meson decays.

Determination of V_cb in exclusive semileptonic decays is crucial consistency check against the V_cb determined inclusively. Anticipated precision of V_cb at the Super Flavor factory is ~1%, with most of the theoretical error due to hadronic form factor uncertainties. However, at this level of precision treating electromagnetic effects becomes inevitable. In addition to virtual photon corrections there are also emissions of real photons which are soft enough to avoid detection. The bremsstrahlung part is completely universal and is accounted for in the experimental analyses. However, the so-called structure dependent contribution, which probes the hadronic content of the process and is infrared finite, has been neglected so far. To this end, we estimated fraction of radiative events which are identified as semileptonic by experiment.

Motivated by the disagreement between experimental and lattice QCD results on the D_s decay constant we systematically reinvestigate role of leptoquarks in charm meson decays. We consider scalar leptoquarks that transform as a weak interaction triplet, doublet, or singlet in a model independent approach, and also argue that in a particular SU(5) GUT model these leptoquark states, contained in the 45-dimensional Higgs representation, could be safe against proton decay bounds. Using the current experimental measurements in tau, kaon and charm sectors, we find that scalar leptoquarks cannot naturally explain the D_s --> mu nu and D_s --> tau nu decay widths simultaneously. While any contributions of the triplet leptoquarks are already excluded, the singlets could only contribute significantly to the D_s --> tau nu width. Finally, a moderate improvement of the experimental upper bound on the D^0 --> mu^+μ^- decay width could exclude the doublet contribution to the D_s --> mu nu, while present experimental data limits its mass to be below 1.4 TeV. Possible new signatures at present and near future experiments are also briefly discussed.

Our partially integrated rates are in agreement with the experimental findings.

Motivated by recent experimental results on charm physics we investigate implications of the updated constraints of new physics in rare charm meson decays. We first reconsider effects of the MSSM in $c\to u γ$ constrained by the recent experimental evidence on $Δm_D$ and find, that due to the dominance of long distance physics, $D \to V γ$ decay rates cannot be modified by MSSM contributions. Then we consider effects of the extra heavy up vector-like quark models on the decay spectrum of $D^+ \to π^+ l^+ l^-$ and $D_s^+ \to K^+ l^+ l^-$ decays. We find a possibility for the tiny increase of the differential decay rate in the region of large dilepton mass. The R-parity violating supersymmetric model can also modify short distance dynamics in $c \to u l^+ l^-$ decays. We constrain relevant parameters using current upper bound on the $D^+ \to π^+ l^+ l^-$ decay rate and investigate impact of that constraint on the $D_s^+ \to K^+ l^+ l^-$ differential decay dilepton distribution. Present bounds still allow small modification of the standard model differential decay rate distribution.

The b to d d s bar transition gives extremely small branching ratios within the standard model, thus providing an appropriate ground for testing new physics. Using renormalization group technique we determine the Wilson coefficients and the mixing of the operators which contribute to the b to d d s bar transition. We consider contributions to this decay mode from the supersymmetric standard model with and without R-parity, as well as from a model with an additional neutral Z' gauge boson. Using Belle and BaBar upper bounds for the B^- to pi^- pi^- K^+ branching ratio we constrain contributions of these new physics scenarios. Then we calculate branching ratios for two- and three-body nonleptonic B^- meson decays driven by the b to d d s transition, which might be experimentally accessible.
