Charged lepton flavor violation associated with heavy quark production in deep inelastic lepton-nucleon scattering via scalar exchange
Abstract: We study charged lepton flavor violation (CLFV) associated with heavy quark pair production in lepton-nucleon deep-inelastic scattering $\ell_i N \to \ell_j q\bar{q} X$. Here $\ell_i$ and $\ell_j$ denote the initial and final leptons; $N$ and $X$ are respectively the initial nucleon and arbitrary final hadronic system. On enhanced corrections from quasi-degenerate states to heavy quarkonium observables
Abstract: It is well known that in perturbation theory existence of quasi-degenerate states can rearrange the order counting. For a heavy quarkonium system, naively, enhanced effects ($l$-changing mixing effects) could contribute already to the first-order and third-order corrections to the wave function and the energy level, respectively, in expansion in $α_s$. Off-shell Suppression of Renormalons in Non-relativistic QCD Boundstates
Abstract: We study an effect of the off-shellness of the quark and antiquark inside a heavy quarkonium system on IR renormalons contained in the perturbative computations of the quarkonium energy levels. We demonstrate that, when the off-shellness p_Q^2 -m_Q^2 \sim alpha_S^2 m_Q^2 is larger than m_Q Lambda_QCD, renormalons in the energy levels as calculated in perturbative QCD are suppressed by a factor L… ▽ More

Revisiting W gamma production at RHIC
Abstract: We discuss W gamma production in polarized p p collisions at RHIC energy. We point out that the RHIC collider has two advantages over other hadron colliders to measure the characteristic feature of W gamma production: (1) the RHIC energy is not so high and (2) the polarized beams are available. We calculate the tree level cross section for W gamma production using a generic spin basis for W and… ▽ More

Top quark mass determination near t\bar{t} threshold at lepton colliders
Abstract: Future e^+ e^- linear colliders will enable us to determine the top quark mass with high accuracy from the measurement of the 1S peak position of (remnant of) toponium. The estimated statistical error in this measurement is about 50 MeV with integrated luminosity of 30 ${\rm fb^{-1}}$. We calculate ${\cal O}(α_s^5 m)$ corrections to the quarkonium 1S energy spectrum in the large-$β_0$ approximat… ▽ More

CP Violation in Kaon System in Supersymmetric SU(5) Model with Seesaw-Induced Neutrino Masses
Abstract: CP violations in the kaon system are studied in supersymmetric SU(5) model with right-handed neutrinos. We pay a special attention to the renormalization group effect on the off-diagonal elements of the squark mass matrices. In particular, if the Yukawa couplings and mixings in the neutrino sector are sizable, off-diagonal elements of the right-handed down-type squark mass matrix are generated,… ▽ More

Azimuthal angular dependence of decay lepton in e+ e- --> t tbar
Abstract: We discuss top quark production and its subsequent decay for searching new physics at lepton colliders. The angular dependence of the decay leptons is calculated including both QCD corrections and anomalous gamma Z - t tbar couplings. The off-diagonal spin basis for the top and anti-top quarks is shown to be useful to probe the anomalous couplings.

O(alpha_s^5 m) quarkonium 1S spectrum in large-beta_0 approximation and renormalon cancellation
Abstract: Presently the quarkonium spectrum, written in terms of the quark MSbar-mass, is known at O(alpha_s^3 m) accuracy. We point out that in order to achieve O(alpha_s^4 m) accuracy it is sufficient to calculate further (I) the O(alpha_s^4 m) relation between the MSbar-mass and the pole-mass, and (II) the binding energy at O(alpha_s^5 m) in the large-beta_0 approximation. We calculate the latter corre… ▽ More

Penguins diagrams in Delta I=1/2 rule and ε'/εwith σmodels
Abstract: We study the correlation between $\epe$ and $ΔI=1/2$ rule in the framework of non-linear $σ$ model including scalar mesons. The matrix elements of QCD and Electroweak (EW) penguin operators are computed within factorization approximation. Using the matrix elements and changing the scalar meson mass, we find that there is correlation between $\epe$ and $ΔI=1/2$ amplitude. However, it is difficult… ▽ More

Quark Mass Hierarchy, FCNC and CP violation in a Seesaw model
Abstract: The seesaw model of quark masses is studied systematically, focusing on its developments. A framework allowing the top quark mass to be of the order of the electroweak symmetry breaking scale, while the remaining light quarks have much smaller masses, due to the seesaw mechanism, is presented. The violation of the GIM mechanism is shown to be small and the tree level FCNC are suppressed naturall… ▽ More

More on Large $Q^2$ Events with Polarized Beams
Abstract: We discuss polarized proton-positron scattering in the context of the excess of large $Q^2$ events at HERA. We define and estimate a polarized asymmetry to examine two scenarios, the contact interaction and the stop scenario with broken R-parity. This asymmetry exhibits a characteristic behavior depending on the scenarios. Thus the polarized experiment at HERA will provide with a good test for t… ▽ More

Rare Decay of K Meson
Abstract: We investigate the rare decay processes of the K mesons, K_{L,S} -> π^0 ν\barν and K^{+} -> π^+ ν\barν in LR model with lepton family number being well conserved. In these processes, scalar operators (\bar{s}d)(\barν_τν_τ), which are derived from box diagram in LR model, play an important role due to an enhancement factor M_{K}/m_{s} in the matrix element $<π|\bar{s}d|K>$. It is emphasized that… ▽ More

The Small $x$ Behavior of $g_1$ in the Resummed Approach
Abstract: The double logarithmic terms $α_{s} \ln^{2}x $ are important to predict precisely the small $x$ behavior of the spin structure function $g_{1}$. We numerically analyze the evolution of the flavor non-singlet $g_{1}$ including the all-order resummed effect of these terms. It is pointed out that the next-to-leading logarithmic corrections produce an unexpectedly large suppression factor over the e… ▽ More
