Oxygen-driven enhancement of electron correlation in hexagonal iron at Earth's inner core conditions

Electrical resistivity is much enhanced compared with pure hcp-Fe, supporting the conventional thermal convection model. Abstract: Using the entire data sample of $980\mathrm{~fb}^{-1}$ collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider, we present measurements of the branching fractions of the Cabibbo-favored decays $Ξ_c^0 \to ΛK_S^0$, $Ξ_c^0 \to Σ^0 K_S^0$, and $Ξ_c^0 \to Σ^+ K^-$. Taking the decay $Ξ_c^0 \to Ξ^- \pip$ as the normalization mode, we measure the branching fraction ratio… ▽ More Using the entire data sample of $980\mathrm{~fb}^{-1}$ collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider, we present measurements of the branching fractions of the Cabibbo-favored decays $Ξ_c^0 \to ΛK_S^0$, $Ξ_c^0 \to Σ^0 K_S^0$, and $Ξ_c^0 \to Σ^+ K^-$. Taking the decay $Ξ_c^0 \to Ξ^- \pip$ as the normalization mode, we measure the branching fraction ratio ${\cal B}(Ξ_c^0 \to ΛK_S^0)/{\cal B}(Ξ_c^0 \to Ξ^- π^+) = 0.229\pm0.008\pm0.012$ with improved precision, and measure the branching fraction ratios ${\cal B}(Ξ_c^0 \to Σ^0 K_S^0)/{\cal B}(Ξ_c^0 \to Ξ^- π^+) = 0.038\pm0.006\pm0.004$ and ${\cal B}(Ξ_c^0 \to Σ^+ K^-)/{\cal B}(Ξ_c^0 \to Ξ^- π^+) = 0.123\pm0.007\pm0.010$ for the first time. Taking into account the branching fraction of the normalization mode, the absolute branching fractions are determined to be ${\cal B}(Ξ_c^0 \to ΛK_S^0) = (3.27\pm0.11\pm0.17\pm0.73) \times 10^{-3}$, ${\cal B}(Ξ_c^0 \to Σ^0 K_S^0) = (0.54\pm 0.09\pm 0.06\pm 0.12) \times 10^{-3}$, and ${\cal B}(Ξ_c^0 \to Σ^+ K^-) = (1.76\pm 0.10\pm0.14\pm 0.39) \times 10^{-3}$. Abstract: We present a measurement of the branching fractions of the Cabibbo favored $\overline{B}{}^0\rightarrow D^{+}π^{-}$ and the Cabibbo suppressed $\overline{B}{}^0\rightarrow D^{+}K^{-}$ decays. The ratio of branching fractions of $\overline{B}{}^0\rightarrow D^{+}K^{-}$ and $\overline{B}{}^0\rightarrow D^{+}π^{-}$ is measured to be $R^{D} = [8.19 \pm 0.20(\rm stat) \pm 0.23(\rm syst)] \times 10^{-2} $. We determine the total branching fractions via fits to the distribution of the square of the missing mass, and find $\mathcal{B}(B^+ \to π^0 \ell^+ ν_\ell)$ = (8.29 $\pm$ 1.99(stat) $\pm$ 0.46(syst)) $\times 10^{-5}$. We obtain $95\%$ CL upper limits on the branching fractions with $\mathcal{B}(B^0 \to ρ^- \ell^+ ν_\ell) < 3.37 \times 10^{-4}$ and $\mathcal{B}(B^+ \to ρ^0 \ell^+ ν_\ell) < 19.7 \times 10^{-5}$. We also obtain an updated branching fraction for the $B^0 \to π^- \ell^+ ν_\ell$ decay, $\mathcal{B}(B^0 \to π^- \ell^+ ν_\ell)$ = (1.47 $\pm$ 0.29(stat) $\pm$ 0.05(syst)) $\times 10^{-4}$, based on the sum of the partial branching fractions in three bins of the squared momentum transfer to the leptonic system. △ Less

These results are obtained from a $711\text{fb}^{-1}$ data sample that contains $772 \times 10^6$ $B{\kern 0.18em}\overline{\kern -0.18em B}$ pairs and was collected near the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. These results are obtained from a $711\text{fb}^{-1}$ data sample that contains $772 \times 10^6$ $B{\kern 0.18em}\overline{\kern -0.18em B}$ pairs and was collected near the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. We use events in which one $B$ meson is fully reconstructed in a hadronic decay mode and require the remainder of the event to consist of only a single $Λ$. No evidence for these decays is found and we set $90\%$ confidence level upper limits on the branching fractions in the range $2.1$-$3.8\times 10^{-5}$. GCCN: Global Context Convolutional Network

Abstract: In this paper, we propose Global Context Convolutional Network (GCCN) for visual recognition. GCCN computes global features representing contextual information across image patches. These global contextual features are defined as local maxima pixels with high visual sharpness in each patch. These features are then concatenated and utilised to augment the convolutional features. The learnt feature… ▽ More In this paper, we propose Global Context Convolutional Network (GCCN) for visual recognition. GCCN computes global features representing contextual information across image patches. These global contextual features are defined as local maxima pixels with high visual sharpness in each patch. These features are then concatenated and utilised to augment the convolutional features. The learnt feature vector is normalised using the global context features using Frobenius norm. This straightforward approach achieves high accuracy in compassion to the state-of-the-art methods with 94.6% and 95.41% on CIFAR-10 and STL-10 datasets, respectively. To explore potential impact of GCCN on other visual representation tasks, we implemented GCCN as a based model to few-shot image classification. We learn metric distances between the augmented feature vectors and their prototypes representations, similar to Prototypical and Matching Networks. GCCN outperforms state-of-the-art few-shot learning methods achieving 99.9%, 84.8% and 80.74% on Omniglot, MiniImageNet and CUB-200, respectively. GCCN has significantly improved on the accuracy of state-of-the-art prototypical and matching networks by up to 30% in different few-shot learning scenarios. △ Less

Abstract: We propose a novel approach for visual representation learning called Signature-Graph Neural Networks (SGN). SGN learns latent global structures that augment the feature representation of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN). SGN constructs unique undirected graphs for each image based on the CNN feature maps. The feature maps are partitioned into a set of equal and non-overlap** patches. The gra… ▽ More We propose a novel approach for visual representation learning called Signature-Graph Neural Networks (SGN). SGN learns latent global structures that augment the feature representation of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN). SGN constructs unique undirected graphs for each image based on the CNN feature maps. The feature maps are partitioned into a set of equal and non-overlap** patches. The graph nodes are located on high-contrast sharp convolution features with the local maxima or minima in these patches. The node embeddings are aggregated through novel Signature-Graphs based on horizontal and vertical edge connections. The representation vectors are then computed based on the spectral Laplacian eigenvalues of the graphs. SGN outperforms existing methods of recent graph convolutional networks, generative adversarial networks, and auto-encoders with image classification accuracy of 99.65% on ASIRRA, 99.91% on MNIST, 98.55% on Fashion-MNIST, 96.18% on CIFAR-10, 84.71% on CIFAR-100, 94.36% on STL10, and 95.86% on SVHN datasets. We also introduce a novel implementation of the state-of-the-art multi-head attention (MHA) on top of the proposed SGN. Label quality in AffectNet: results of crowd-based re-annotation

Abstract: AffectNet is one of the most popular resources for facial expression recognition (FER) on relatively unconstrained in-the-wild images. Given that images were annotated by only one annotator with limited consistency checks on the data, however, label quality and consistency may be limited. Here, we take a similar approach to a study that re-labeled another, smaller dataset (FER2013) with crowd-base… ▽ More AffectNet is one of the most popular resources for facial expression recognition (FER) on relatively unconstrained in-the-wild images. Given that images were annotated by only one annotator with limited consistency checks on the data, however, label quality and consistency may be limited. Here, we take a similar approach to a study that re-labeled another, smaller dataset (FER2013) with crowd-based annotations, and report results from a re-labeling and re-annotation of a subset of difficult AffectNet faces with 13 people on both expression label, and valence and arousal ratings. Our results show that human labels overall have medium to good consistency, whereas human ratings especially for valence are in excellent agreement. Importantly, however, crowd-based labels are significantly shifting towards neutral and happy categories and crowd-based affective ratings form a consistent pattern different from the original ratings. ResNets fully trained on the original AffectNet dataset do not predict human voting patterns, but when weakly-trained do so much better, particularly for valence. The analysis is based on the entire $Υ(4S)$ resonance data sample of 711 $\rm fb^{-1}$, corresponding to $772\times 10^{6} B \bar{B}$ pairs. In our search we fully reconstruct the companion $B$ meson produced in the process $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrowΥ(4S)\rightarrow B\bar{B}$ from its hadronic decay modes, and look for the decay $B^{0}\rightarrow K^{\ast 0}τ^{+}τ^{-}$ in the rest of the event. No evidence for a signal is found. We report an upper limit on the branching fraction $\mathcal{B}({B^{0}\rightarrow K^{\ast 0}τ^{+}τ^{-}})<3.1\times 10^{-3}$ at 90\% confidence level. We reconstruct $B^+\to ρ^+(\to π^+π^0(\to γγ))ρ^0(\to π^+π^-)$ decays in a sample of SuperKEKB electron-positron collisions collected by the Belle II experiment in 2019 and 2020 at the $Υ$(4S) resonance and corresponding to $62.8$ fb… ▽ More We report on the first Belle II measurement of the branching fraction ($\mathcal{B}$) and longitudinal polarization fraction ($f_L$) of $B^+\to ρ^+ρ^0$ decays. We reconstruct $B^+\to ρ^+(\to π^+π^0(\to γγ))ρ^0(\to π^+π^-)$ decays in a sample of SuperKEKB electron-positron collisions collected by the Belle II experiment in 2019 and 2020 at the $Υ$(4S) resonance and corresponding to $62.8$ fb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity. We fit the distributions of the difference between expected and observed $B$ candidate energy, continuum-suppression variable, dipion masses, and angular distributions of the resulting samples, to determine a signal yield of $104\pm16$ events. The signal yields are corrected for efficiencies determined from simulation and control data samples to obtain $\mathcal{B}(B^+ \to ρ^+ρ^0) = [20.6 \pm 3.2(\rm stat) \pm 4.0(\rm syst)]\times 10^{-6}$, and $f_L(B^+ \to ρ^+ρ^0) = 0.936 ^{+0.049}_{-0.041}(\rm stat)\pm 0.021(\rm syst)$. This first Belle II $B^+ \to ρ^+ρ^0$ angular analysis yields results compatible with previous determinations, and indicates Belle II performance superior to early Belle results. △ Less

We use simulation to determine optimized event selections. The $ΔE$ and $M_{\rm bc}$ distributions of the resulting samples are fit to determine signal yields of approximately 690, 840, and 380 decays for the channels $B^+ \to K^+K^-K^+$, $B^+ \to K^+π^-π^+$, and $B^0 \to K^+π^-π^0$, respectively. These yields are corrected for efficiencies determined from simulation and control data samples to obtain $\mathcal{B}(B^+ \to K^+K^-K^+) = [35.8 \pm 1.6(\rm stat) \pm 1.4 (\rm syst)]\times 10^{-6}$, $\mathcal{B}(B^+ \to K^+π^-π^+) = [67.0 \pm 3.3 (\rm stat)\pm 2.3 (\rm syst)]\times 10^{-6}$, $\mathcal{B}(B^0 \to K^+π^-π^0) = [38.1 \pm 3.5 (\rm stat)\pm 3.9 (\rm syst)]\times 10^{-6}$, $\mathcal{A}_{\rm CP}(B^+ \to K^+K^-K^+) = -0.103 \pm 0.042(\rm stat) \pm 0.020 (\rm syst)$, $\mathcal{A}_{\rm CP}(B^+ \to K^+π^-π^+) = -0.010 \pm 0.050 (\rm stat)\pm 0.021(\rm syst)$, and $\mathcal{A}_{\rm CP}(B^0 \to K^+π^-π^0) = 0.207 \pm 0.088 (\rm stat)\pm 0.011(\rm syst)$. The determination of these moments and their systematic uncertainties open new pathways to determine the absolute value of the CKM matrix element $V_{cb}$ using a reduced set of matrix elements of the heavy quark expansion. In order to identify and reconstruct the $X_c$ system, we reconstruct one of the two $B$-mesons using machine learning techniques in fully hadronic decay modes. The moments are measured with progressively increasing threshold selections on $q^2$ starting with a lower value of 3.0 $\mathrm{GeV}^2$ in steps of 0.5 $\mathrm{GeV}^2$ up to a value of 10.0 $\mathrm{GeV}^2$. The measured moments are further unfolded, correcting for reconstruction and selection effects as well as QED final state radiation. Abstract: Using 980 ${\rm fb}^{-1}$ of data {collected} with the Belle detector operating at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider, we report the measurements of the masses, and the first measurements of the instrinsic widths, of the $Σ_c(2455)^+$ and $Σ_c(2520)^+$ charmed baryons. Measurement of the branching fraction for $B^{0} \rightarrow π^{0} π^{0}$ decays reconstructed in 2019-2020 Belle II data

Abstract: We report the first reconstruction of the $B^{0} \to π^{0} π^{0}$ decay mode at Belle II using samples of 2019 and 2020 data that correspond to 62.8 fb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity. Observable bound for Gaussian illumination

Abstract: We propose observable bounds for Gaussian illumination to maximize the signal-to-noise ratio, which minimizes the discrimination error between the presence and absence of a low-reflectivity target using Gaussian states. The observable bounds are achieved with mode-by-mode measurements. Abstract: We report the results of the first search for the decay $B_s^0 \rightarrow η^\prime η$ using $121.4~\textrm{fb}^{-1}$ of data collected at the $Υ(5S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. We observe no significant signal and set a 90\% confidence-level upper limit of %$7.1 \times 10^{-5}$ $6.5 \times 10^{-5}$ on the branching fraction of this decay. We report the results of the first search for the decay $B_s^0 \rightarrow η^\prime η$ using $121.4~\textrm{fb}^{-1}$ of data collected at the $Υ(5S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. The color-suppressed decay $D^{0}\toφη$ is observed for the first time, with very high significance. The results for the $CP$ asymmetries are \begin{eqnarray} A_{CP}(D^{0}\toπ^{+}π^{-}η) & = & [0.9\pm 1.2\,({\rm stat})\pm 0.5\,({\rm syst})]\%\,, \nonumber \\ A_{CP}(D^{0}\to K^{+}K^{-}η) & = & [-1.4\pm 3.3\,({\rm stat})\pm 1.1\,({\rm syst})]\%\,, \nonumber \\ A_{CP}(D^{0}\toφη)&= & [-1.9\pm 4.4\,({\rm stat})\pm 0.6\,({\rm syst})]\%\,. \nonumber \end{eqnarray} The results for $D^{0}\toπ^{+}π^{-}η$ are a significant improvement over previous results. We use samples of 2019 and 2020 data corresponding to 62.8 fb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity. The samples are analysed using two-dimensional fits in $ΔE$ and $M_{\it bc}$ to determine signal yields of approximately 568, 103, and 115 decays for the channels $B^0 \to K^+π^-$, $B^+ \to K_{\rm S}^0π^+$, and $B^0 \to π^+π^-$, respectively. Signal yields are corrected for efficiencies determined from simulation and control data samples to obtain branching fractions and CP-violating asymmetries for flavour-specific channels. The results are compatible with known determinations and contribute important information to an early assessment of Belle II detector performance. △ Less

Abstract: Using $980~\rm fb^{-1}$ of data on and around the $Υ(nS)(n=1,2,3,4,5)$ resonances collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider, the two-photon process $γγ\to γψ(2S)$ is studied from the threshold to $4.2~{\rm GeV}$ for the first time. Two structures are seen in the invariant mass distribution of $γψ(2S)$: one at $M_{R_1} = 3922.4\pm 6.5 \pm 2.0~{\rm MeV}/c^2$ w… ▽ More Using $980~\rm fb^{-1}$ of data on and around the $Υ(nS)(n=1,2,3,4,5)$ resonances collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider, the two-photon process $γγ\to γψ(2S)$ is studied from the threshold to $4.2~{\rm GeV}$ for the first time. Two structures are seen in the invariant mass distribution of $γψ(2S)$: one at $M_{R_1} = 3922.4\pm 6.5 \pm 2.0~{\rm MeV}/c^2$ with a width of $Γ_{R_1} = 22\pm 17\pm 4~{\rm MeV}$, and another at $M_{R_2} = 4014.3\pm 4.0 \pm 1.5~{\rm MeV}/c^2$ with a width of $Γ_{R_2} = 4\pm 11 \pm 6~{\rm MeV}$; the signals are parametrized with the incoherent sum of two Breit-Wigner functions. The first structure is consistent with the $X(3915)$ or the $χ_{c2}(3930)$, and the local statistical significance is determined to be $3.1σ$ with the systematic uncertainties included. The second matches none of the known charmonium or charmoniumlike states, and its global significance is determined to be $2.8σ$ including the look-elsewhere effect. The production rates are $Γ_{γγ}{\cal B}(R_1\toγψ(2S)) = 9.8\pm 3.6\pm 1.2~{\rm eV}$ assuming $(J^{PC}, |λ|) =(0^{++}, 0)$ or $2.0\pm 0.7\pm 0.2~{\rm eV}$ with $(2^{++}, 2)$ for the first structure and $Γ_{γγ}{\cal B}(R_2\toγψ(2S)) = 6.2\pm 2.2\pm 0.8~{\rm eV}$ with $(0^{++}, 0)$ or $1.2\pm 0.4\pm 0.2~{\rm eV}$ with $(2^{++}, 2)$ for the second one. We reconstruct and select about $50$ $B^0 \to K_S^0 π^0$ candidates, and we measure $\mathcal{A}_{K^0π^0} = -0.40_{-0.44}^{+0.46} (\text{stat}) \pm 0.04 (\text{syst})$ and $\mathcal{B}(B^0 \to K^0 π^0) = [8.5_{-1.6}^{+1.7} (\text{stat}) \pm 1.2 (\text{syst})] \times 10^{-6}$. This is the first measurement of $CP$ violation in $B^0 \to K^0π^0$ decays reported by Belle II. The results are based on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $63\,\mbox{fb}^{-1}$ collected at the $Υ{(4S)}$ resonance and a sample of $9\,\mbox{fb}^{-1}$ collected at an energy $60\mathrm{\,Me\kern -0.1em V}$ below the resonance. A novel measurement method is employed, which exploits topological properties of the $B^{+}\to K^{+}ν\barν$ decay that differ from both generic bottom-meson decays and light-quark pair production. This inclusive tagging approach offers a higher signal efficiency compared to previous searches. No significant signal is observed. An upper limit on the branching fraction of $B^{+}\to K^{+}ν\barν$ of $4.1 \times 10^{-5}$ is set at the 90% confidence level. △ Less

A spawning model is developed to take into account cell lineages and changes in cell appearance prior to division. We then derive analytic filters to propagate multi-object distributions that contain information on the current cell ensemble including their lineages. We also develop numerical implementations of the resulting multi-object filters. Experiments using simulation, synthetic cell migration video, and real time-lapse sequence, are presented to demonstrate the capability of the solutions. △ Less

Under a fixed mean photon number of the signal mode, the ASTM state can be close to the TMSV state in the performance of QI while there is a threshold of beating classical illumination in the mean photon number of the initial TMSV state. We also verify that quantum discord cannot be a resource of quantum advantage in the Gaussian QI using the ASTM state, which is a counterexample of a previous claim. △ Less

Drone-as-a-Service Composition Under Uncertainty

Specifically, we propose a service model of DaaS based on the dynamic spatiotemporal features of drones and their in-flight contexts. The proposed DaaS service approach consists of three components: scheduling, route-planning, and composition. Specifically, we propose a service model of DaaS based on the dynamic spatiotemporal features of drones and their in-flight contexts. The proposed DaaS service approach consists of three components: scheduling, route-planning, and composition. First, we develop a DaaS scheduling model to generate DaaS itineraries through a Skyway network. Second, we propose an uncertainty-aware DaaS route-planning algorithm that selects the optimal Skyways under weather uncertainties. Third, we develop two DaaS composition techniques to select an optimal DaaS composition at each station of the planned route. A spatiotemporal DaaS composer first selects the optimal DaaSs based on their spatiotemporal availability and drone capabilities. A predictive DaaS composer then utilises the outcome of the first composer to enable fast and accurate DaaS composition using several Machine Learning classification methods. We train the classifiers using a new set of spatiotemporal features which are in addition to other DaaS QoS properties. Abstract: Using data samples of 89.5 and 711 fb$^{-1}$ recorded at energies of $\sqrt{s}=10.52$ and $10.58$ GeV, respectively, with the Belle detector at the KEKB $e^+e^-$ collider, we report measurements of branching fractions of semileptonic decays $Ξ_{c}^{0} \to Ξ^{-} \ell^{+} ν_{\ell}$ ($\ell=e$ or $μ$) and the $CP$-asymmetry parameter of $Ξ_{c}^{0} \to Ξ^{-} π^{+}$ decay. The branching fractions are measured to be ${\cal B}(Ξ_{c}^{0} \to Ξ^{-} e^{+} ν_{e})=(1.31 \pm 0.04 \pm 0.07 \pm 0.38)\%$ and ${\cal B}(Ξ_{c}^{0} \to Ξ^{-} μ^{+} ν_μ)=(1.27 \pm 0.06 \pm 0.10 \pm 0.37)\%$, and the decay parameter $α_{Ξπ}$ is measured to be $0.63 \pm 0.03 \pm 0.01$ with much improved precision compared to the current world average. The corresponding ratio ${\cal B}(Ξ_{c}^{0} \to Ξ^{-} e^{+} ν_{e})/{\cal B}(Ξ_{c}^{0} \to Ξ^{-} μ^{+} ν_μ)$ is $1.03 \pm 0.05\pm 0.07$, which is consistent with the expectation of lepton flavor universality. The first measured asymmetry parameter ${\cal A}_{CP} = (α_{Ξ^{-}π^{+}} + α_{\barΞ^{+}π^{-}})/(α_{Ξ^{-}π^{+}} - α_{\barΞ^{+}π^{-}}) = 0.024 \pm 0.052 \pm 0.014$ is found to be consistent with zero. The first and the second uncertainties above are statistical and systematic, respectively, while the third ones arise due to the uncertainty of the $Ξ_{c}^{0} \to Ξ^{-} π^+$ branching fraction. △ Less

Hot carrier redistribution, electron-phonon interaction, and their role in carrier relaxation in thin film halide perovskites

Abstract: Temperature dependent (4K-300K) photoluminescence and transmission spectra are analyzed to study the effect of changing the different components of a perovskite compound, be it A, B, or X. Four different films are compared: FAMAPbSnI3, FAPbI3, FAMAPbI3, and FAPbBr3. The low temperature results highlight the changes that occur especially, underlying ones that are easily masked at room temperature.… ▽ More Temperature dependent (4K-300K) photoluminescence and transmission spectra are analyzed to study the effect of changing the different components of a perovskite compound, be it A, B, or X. Four different films are compared: FAMAPbSnI3, FAPbI3, FAMAPbI3, and FAPbBr3. The low temperature results highlight the changes that occur especially, underlying ones that are easily masked at room temperature. The overall Stokes shift is of similar magnitude at room temperature for the 3 Pb only based samples. This is governed by the interaction strength GammaLO, phonon energy ELO, and the exciton binding energy Eex. One exception to this behavior is the Sn-based FAMAPbSnI3 film which shows a lack of Stokes shift between the absorption and photoluminescence. However,the strong absorption (more than 100 meV) below the band gap is indicative of an excitonic feature that has a large density of states. Transient absorption measurements confirm the trends observed in continuous wave (CW) measurements, the 3 Pb only films all show the convolution of an excitonic feature within 20 meV of the band gap as a contributing factor to the photobleach along with a region of high energy PIA. However, the behavior for the Sn-based film is notably different (just as in the CW measurements) with an unusual low energy PIA and a lack of high energy PIA. The large low energy PIA is attributed to the large sub band gap absorption observed in the CW transmission/absorption measurements. Notably regardless of interchanging components, the slow cooling of carriers in metal-halide perovsites shows little effect of GammaLO, ELO, and Eex. As such, here it is proposed: while the initial cooling of carriers is attributed to LO phonons, the overall cooling of carriers is dominated by the intrinsic low thermal conductivity of all metal-halide perovskites which limits the dissipation of acoustic phonons in these systems. △ Less

The data were collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB $e^{+}$$e^{-}$ asymmetric-energy collider. A clear $Λ_c^+$ signal is seen in the invariant mass distribution of $p η$.… ▽ More We report measurements of the branching fractions of singly Cabibbo-suppressed decays $Λ_c^+ \to p η$ and $Λ_c^+ \to p π^0$ using the full Belle data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 980.6 $\rm fb^{-1}$. The data were collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB $e^{+}$$e^{-}$ asymmetric-energy collider. A clear $Λ_c^+$ signal is seen in the invariant mass distribution of $p η$. The signal yield of the $Λ_c^+ \to p η$ process is $7734 \pm 263$; from this, we measure the ratio of branching fractions ${\cal B}(Λ_c^+ \to p η)/{\cal B}(Λ_c^+ \to p K^- π^+) = (2.258 \pm 0. 077(\rm stat. ) \pm 0.136(\rm syst. ))\times 10^{-2}$, from which we infer the branching fraction ${\cal B}(Λ_c^+ \to p η) = (1.42 \pm 0.05(\rm stat.) \pm 0.11(\rm syst.)) \times 10^{-3}$. In addition, no significant signal for $Λ_c^+ \to p π^0$ is found so an upper limit on the branching fraction of ${\cal B}(Λ_c^+ \to p π^0)<8.0 \times 10^{-5}$ at 90\% credibility level is set, more than three times better than the best current upper limit. △ Less
