Abstract:
By adding the dimension-six operator for the Higgs potential (denoted $\mathcal{O}_6$) in Standard Model, we have a first-order electroweak phase transition (EWPT) whose strength is larger than unity. By adding the dimension-six operator for the Higgs potential (denoted $\mathcal{O}_6$) in Standard Model, we have a first-order electroweak phase transition (EWPT) whose strength is larger than unity. The cutoff parameter of the dimension-six Higgs operator ($Λ$) is found to be in the range 593-860 GeV with the Wilson parameter equals to unity; it is also shown that the greater the $Λ$, the lower the phase transition strength and the larger the Wilson parameter, the wider the domain of $Λ$. At zero temperature, the sphaleron energy is calculated with a smooth ansatz and an ansatz with scale-free parameters, thereby we find that smooth profiles are not more accurate than profiles with scale-free parameters. Then, using the one-loop effective Higgs potential with the inclusion of $\mathcal{O}_6$ instead of all possible dimension-six operators, we directly calculate the electroweak sphaleron energy at finite temperature with the scale-free parameters ansatz and show that the decoupling condition is satisfied during the phase transition. Moreover, we can reevaluate the upper bound of the cutoff scale inferred from the first-order phase transition. In addition, with the upper bound of the cutoff parameter (about 800-860 GeV), EWPT is a solution to the energy scale of the dimension-six operators. There is an extended conclusion that EWPT can only be solved at a large energy scale than that of SM.

We investigate the sensitivity to new physics of the process e+e- -> t bar{t} when the top polarization is analyzed using leptonic final states e+e- -> t \bar{t} -> l+l- b \bar{b} nu_l \bar{nu}_l. We investigate the sensitivity to new physics of the process e+e- -> t bar{t} when the top polarization is analyzed using leptonic final states e+e- -> t \bar{t} -> l+l- b \bar{b} nu_l \bar{nu}_l. We first show that the kinematical reconstruction of the complete kinematics is experimentally tractable for this process. Then we apply the matrix element method to study the sensitivity to the Vt\bar{t} coupling (V being a vector gauge boson), at the tree level and in the narrow width approximation. Assuming the ILC baseline configuration, sqrt{S}=500 GeV, and a luminosity of 500 fb^{-1}, we conclude that this optimal analysis allows to determine simultaneously the ten form factors that parameterize the Vt\bar{t} coupling, below the percent level. We also discuss the effects of the next leading order (NLO) electroweak corrections using the GRACE program with polarized beams. It is found that the NLO corrections to different beam polarization lead to significantly different patterns of contributions.

By using the GRACE-Loop system, we calculate the full $\mathcal{O}(α)$ electroweak radiative corrections to the process $e^+e^- \rightarrow e^+e^- γ$, which is important for future investigations at the International Linear Collider (ILC). With the GRACE-Loop system, the calculations are checked numerically by three consistency tests: ultraviolet finiteness, infrared finiteness, and gauge-parameter independence. The results show good numerical stability when quadruple precision is used. In the phenomenological results, we find that the electroweak corrections to the total cross section range from $\sim -4\%$ to $\sim -21\%$ when $\sqrt{s}$ varies from $250$ GeV to $1$ TeV. The corrections also significantly affect the differential cross sections, which are a function of the invariant masses and angles and the final-particle energies. Such corrections will play an important role for the high-precision program at the ILC.

We present the full $\mathcal{O}(α)$ electroweak radiative corrections to the process $e^+e^- \rightarrow t \bar{t} γ$ at the International Linear Collider (ILC). The computation is performed with the help of the GRACE-Loop system. We present the total cross-section and the top quark forward-backward asymmetry ($A_{FB}$) as a function of the center-of-mass energy and compare them with the process $e^+e^- \rightarrow t \bar{t}$. We find that the value of $A_{FB}$ in $t \bar{t} γ$ production is larger than $A_{FB}$ in $t\bar{t}$ production. It is an important result for the measurement of the top quark forward-backward asymmetry at the ILC. Applying a structure function method, we also subtract the QED correction to gain the genuine weak correction in both the $α$ scheme and the $G_μ$ scheme ($δ_{W}^{G_μ}$). We obtain numerical values for $δ_{W}^{G_μ}$ which are changing from 2% to -24% when we vary the center-of-mass energy from 360 GeV to 1 TeV.
