Dual-camera high-speed imaging of n-hexane oxidation in a high-pressure shock tube
Abstract: Shock tubes are widely used in the study of chemical kinetics. Its benefits rely on the almost ideal shock-heating process that provides high temperatures and pressures to a chemical system for a limited test time. Just like any reactor, shock tubes are not immune to non-ideal effects. The study of conditions that might deviate experiments from ideal conditions is thus of the utmost importance. Hi… ▽ More

Methane and n-hexane ignition in a newly developed diaphragmless shock tube
Abstract: Shock tubes have been routinely used to generate reliable chemical kinetic data for gas-phase chemistry. The conventional diaphragm-rupture mode for shock tube operation presents many challenges that may ultimately affect the quality of chemical kinetics data. Numerous diaphragmless concepts have been developed to overcome the drawbacks of using diaphragms. Most of these diaphragmless designs requ… ▽ More

On the planar central configurations of rhomboidal and triangular four- and five-body problems
Abstract: We consider a symmetric five-body problem with three unequal collinear masses on the axis of symmetry. The remaining two masses are symmetrically placed on both sides of the axis of symmetry. Regions of possible central configurations are derived for the four- and five-body problems. These regions are determined analytically and explored numerically. The equations of motion are regularized using L… ▽ More

On Algebraic Characterization of SSC of the Jahangir's Graph $\mathcal{J}_{n,m}$
Abstract: In this paper, some algebraic and combinatorial characterizations of the spanning simplicial complex $Δ_s(\mathcal{J}_{n,m})$ of the Jahangir's graph $\mathcal{J}_{n,m}$ are explored. We show that $Δ_s(\mathcal{J}_{n,m})$ is pure, present the formula for $f$-vectors associated to it and hence deduce a recipe for computing the Hilbert series of the Face ring $k[Δ_s(\mathcal{J}_{n,m})]$. Finaly, we… ▽ More

Comparison between purely statistical and multi-agent based ap-proaches for occupant behaviour modeling in buildings
Abstract: This paper analyzes two modeling approaches for occupant behaviour in buildings. It compares a purely statistical approach with a multi-agent social simulation based approach. The study concerns the door openings in an office.

Algebraic characterization of the SSC $Δ_s(\mathcal{G}_{n,r}^{1})$
Abstract: In this paper, we characterize the set of spanning trees of $\mathcal{G}_{n,r}^1$ (a simple connected graph consisting of $n$ edges, containing exactly one $1$-edge-connected chain of $r$ cycles $\mathbb{C}_r^1$ and $\mathcal{G}_{n,r}^{1}\setminus\mathbb{C}_r^1$ is a forest). We compute the Hilbert series of the face ring $k[Δ_s (\mathcal{G}_{n,r}^1)]$ for the spanning simplicial complex… ▽ More

Topology On BCK-Modules
Abstract: In this paper, we introduce the notion of a BCK-topological module in a natural way and establish that every decreasing sequence of submodules on a BCK-module M over bounded commutative BCK-algebra X is indeed a BCK- topological module. We have defined the notion of compatible and strict BCK- module homomorphisms, and establish that a strict BCK-module homomorphism is an open as well as a continuo… ▽ More

Spanning Simplicial Ccomplexes of Uni-Cyclic Graphs
Abstract: In this paper, we introduce the concept of spanning simplicial complexes $Δ_s(G)$ associated to a simple finite connected graph G. We give the characterization of all spanning trees of the uni-cyclic graph $U_{n,m}$. In particular, we give the formula for computing the Hilbert series and h-vector of the Stanley-Riesner ring k[Δ_s(U_{n,m})]. Finally, we prove that the spanning simplicial complex… ▽ More

Curvature and Weyl collineations of spacetimes
Abstract: Lie symmetries of various geometrical and physical quantities in general relativity play an important role in understanding the curvature structure of manifolds. The Riemann curvature and Weyl tensors are two fourth-rank tensors in the theory. Interrelations between the symmetries of these two tensors (known as collineations) are studied. Some illustrative examples are also provided.

Symmetries of the Weyl tensor in Bianchi V spacetimes
Abstract: Symmetries of geometrical and physical quantities in general relativity provide important information about the curvature structure of the spacetimes. Symmetries of the curvature and the Weyl tensors, known as curvature and Weyl collineations respectively, are two of such important symmetries. Some results on these symmetries for Bianchi type V spacetimes are discussed.
