The results allow the Born cross sections of the process $e^{+}e^{-}\to K_{S}^{0} K_{L}^{0} π^{0}$, as well as its subprocesses $e^{+}e^{-}\to K^{*}(892)^{0}\bar{K}^{0}$ and $K^{*}_{2}(1430)^{0}\bar{K}^{0}$ to be measured. The Born cross sections for $e^{+}e^{-}\to K_{S}^{0}K_{L}^{0}π^{0}$ are consistent with previous measurements by BaBar, but with substantially improved precision. The Born cross section lineshape of the process $e^{+}e^{-}\to K^{*}(892)^{0}\bar{K}^{0}$ is consistent with a vector meson state around 2.2 GeV with a significance of 3.2$σ$. A Breit-Wigner fit determines its mass as $M_Y=(2164.7\pm9.1\pm3.1)~{\rm{MeV}}/c^{2}$ and its width as $Γ_{Y}=(32.4\pm21.0\pm1.8)~\rm{MeV}$.

Filter pruning and low-rank decomposition are two of the foundational techniques for structured compression. Although recent efforts have explored hybrid approaches aiming to integrate the advantages of both techniques, their performance gains have been modest at best. In this study, we develop a \textit{Differentiable Framework~(DF)} that can express filter selection, rank selection, and budget constraint into a single analytical formulation. Within the framework, we introduce DML-S for filter selection, integrating scheduling into existing mask learning techniques. Additionally, we present DTL-S for rank selection, utilizing a singular value thresholding operator. The framework with DML-S and DTL-S offers a hybrid structured compression methodology that facilitates end-to-end learning through gradient-base optimization. Experimental results demonstrate the efficacy of DF, surpassing state-of-the-art structured compression methods. Our work establishes a robust and versatile avenue for advancing structured compression techniques.

Zero-shot text-to-speech (TTS) synthesis aims to clone any unseen speaker's voice without adaptation parameters. By quantizing speech waveform into discrete acoustic tokens and modeling these tokens with the language model, recent language model-based TTS models show zero-shot speaker adaptation capabilities with only a 3-second acoustic prompt of an unseen speaker. However, they are limited by the length of the acoustic prompt, which makes it difficult to clone personal speaking style. In this paper, we propose a novel zero-shot TTS model with the multi-scale acoustic prompts based on a neural codec language model VALL-E. A speaker-aware text encoder is proposed to learn the personal speaking style at the phoneme-level from the style prompt consisting of multiple sentences. Following that, a VALL-E based acoustic decoder is utilized to model the timbre from the timbre prompt at the frame-level and generate speech. The experimental results show that our proposed method outperforms baselines in terms of naturalness and speaker similarity, and can achieve better performance by scaling out to a longer style prompt.

We propose a model that simultaneously addresses the existence of a dark matter candidate, baryon asymmetry and tiny neutrino masses and mixing by introducing two SU(2) triplet scalars and an inert SU(2) doublet scalar on top of the standard model. The two triplet scalars serve as mediators in generation of lepton asymmetry and determination of relic density of dark matter. They also play an essential role in generation of tiny neutrino masses and inducing CP violation. The inert scalar is regarded as a dark matter candidate. The interference due to complex Breit-Wigner propagators for the triplets will result in CP-asymmetry that depends on the difference between their masses and a relative complex phase between their couplings to standard model leptons. Moreover, the production of lepton asymmetry will be closely tied to the evolution of dark matter, limiting the parameter space where the correct relic abundance and matter-antimatter asymmetry can be simultaneously accomplished.

Quantum interferometry based on induced-coherence phenomena has demonstrated the possibility of undetected-photon measurements. Perturbation in the optical path of probe photons can be detected by interference signals generated by quantum mechanically correlated twin photons propagating through a different path, possibly at a different wavelength. To the best of our knowledge, this work demonstrates for the first time a hybrid-type induced-coherence interferometer that incorporates a Mach-Zehnder-type interferometer for visible photons and a Michelson-type interferometer for infrared photons, based on double-pass pumped spontaneous parametric down-conversion. This configuration enables infrared optical measurements via the detection of near-visible photons and provides methods for characterizing the quality of measurements by identifying photon pairs of different origins. The results verify that the induced-coherence interference visibility is approximately the same as the heralding efficiencies between twin photons along the relevant spatial modes. Applications to both time-domain and frequency-domain quantum-optical induced-coherence tomography for three-dimensional test structures are demonstrated. The results prove the feasibility of practical undetected-photon sensing and imaging techniques based on the presented structure.

The absolute branching fraction of $Λ_{c}^{+}\to Σ^{-}K^{+}π^{+}$ is measured to be $(3.8\pm1.3_{\rm stat}\pm0.2_{\rm syst})\times 10^{-4}$ in a model-independent approach. This is the first observation of a Cabibbo-suppressed $Λ_{c}^{+}$ decay involving $Σ^-$ in the final state. The ratio of branching fractions between $Λ_{c}^{+}\to Σ^{-}K^{+}π^{+}$ and the Cabibbo-favored decay $Λ_{c}^{+}\to Σ^- π^+π^+$ is calculated to be $(0.4 \pm 0.1)s_{c}^{2}$, where $s_{c} \equiv \sinθ_c = 0.2248$ with $θ_c$ the Cabibbo mixing angle. This ratio significantly deviates from $1.0s_{c}^{2}$ and provides important information for the understanding of nonfactorization contributions in $Λ_{c}^{+}$ decays.

One of the fundamental goals of particle physics is to gain microscopic understanding of the strong interaction. Electromagnetic form factors quantify the structure of hadrons in terms of charge and magnetization distributions. While the nucleon structure has been investigated extensively, data on hyperons is still scarce. It has recently been demonstrated that electron-positron annihilations into hyperon-antihyperon pairs provide a powerful tools to investigate their inner structure. We present a novel method useful for hyperon-antihyperon pairs of different types which exploits the cross section enhancement due to the vacuum polarization effect at the $J/ψ$ resonance. Using the 10 billion $J/ψ$ events collected with the BESIII detector, this allows a thorough determination of the hyperon structure . The result is essentially a precise snapshot of a $\barΛΣ^0$~($Λ\barΣ^0$) pair in the making, encoded in the form factor ratio and the phase. Their values are measured to be $R = 0.860\pm0.029({\rm stat.})\pm0.010({\rm syst.})$, $ΔΦ_1=(1.011\pm0.094({\rm stat.})\pm0.010({\rm syst.}))~\rm rad$ for $\barΛΣ^0$ and $ΔΦ_2=(2.128\pm0.094({\rm stat.})\pm0.010({\rm syst.}))~\rm rad$ for $Λ\barΣ^0$, respectively. Furthermore, charge-parity (CP) breaking is investigated for the first time in this reaction and found to be consistent with CP symmetry.

The upper mid-band - roughly from 7 to 24 GHz - has attracted considerable recent interest for new cellular services. This frequency range has vastly more spectrum than the highly congested bands below 7 GHz while offering more favorable propagation and coverage than the millimeter wave (mmWave) frequencies. The upper mid-band can thus provide a powerful and complementary frequency range to balance coverage and capacity. Realizing the full potential of these bands, however, will require fundamental changes to the design of cellular systems. Most importantly, spectrum will likely need to be shared with incumbents including communication satellites, military RADAR, and radio astronomy. Also, the upper mid-band is simply a vast frequency range. Due to this wide bandwidth, combined with the directional nature of transmission and intermittent occupancy of incumbents, cellular systems will need to be agile to sense and intelligently use large spatial and frequency degrees of freedom. This paper attempts to provide an initial assessment of the feasibility and potential gains of wideband cellular systems operating in the upper mid-band. The study includes: (1) a system study to assess potential gains of multi-band systems in a representative dense urban environment and illustrate the value of wide band system with dynamic frequency selectivity; (2) an evaluation of potential cross interference between satellites and terrestrial cellular services and interference nulling to reduce that interference; and (3) design and evaluation of a compact multi-band antenna array structure. Leveraging these preliminary results, we identify potential future research directions to realize next-generation systems in these frequencies.

The trade tension between the U.S. and China since 2018 has caused a steady decoupling of the world's two largest economies. The pandemic outbreak in 2020 complicated this process and had numerous unanticipated repercussions. This paper investigates how U.S. importers reacted to the trade war and worldwide lockdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We examine the effects of the two incidents on U.S. imports separately and collectively, with various economic scopes. Our findings uncover intricate trading dynamics among the U.S., China, and Southeast Asia, through which businesses relocated portions of their global supply chain away from China to avoid high tariffs. Our analysis indicates that increased tariffs cause the U.S. to import less from China. Meanwhile, Southeast Asian exporters have integrated more into value chains centered on Chinese suppliers by participating more in assembling and completing products. However, the worldwide lockdowns over pandemic have reversed this trend as, over this period, the U.S. effectively imported more goods directly from China and indirectly through Southeast Asian exporters that imported from China.

Feature selection, which is a technique to select key features in recommender systems, has received increasing research attention. Recently, Adaptive Feature Selection (AdaFS) has shown remarkable performance by adaptively selecting features for each data instance, considering that the importance of a given feature field can vary significantly across data. However, this method still has limitations in that its selection process could be easily biased to major features that frequently occur. To address these problems, we propose Multi-view Feature Selection (MvFS), which selects informative features for each instance more effectively. Most importantly, MvFS employs a multi-view network consisting of multiple sub-networks, each of which learns to measure the feature importance of a part of data with different feature patterns. By doing so, MvFS mitigates the bias problem towards dominant patterns and promotes a more balanced feature selection process. Moreover, MvFS adopts an effective importance score modeling strategy which is applied independently to each field without incurring dependency among features. Experimental results on real-world datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of MvFS compared to state-of-the-art baselines.

The design of balanced ternary digital logic circuits based on memristors and conventional CMOS devices is proposed. First, balanced ternary minimum gate TMIN, maximum gate TMAX and ternary inverters are systematically designed and verified by simulation, and then logic circuits such as ternary encoders, decoders and multiplexers are designed on this basis. Two different schemes are then used to realize the design of functional combinational logic circuits such as a balanced ternary half adder, multiplier, and numerical comparator. Finally, we report a series of comparisons and analyses of the two design schemes, which provide a reference for subsequent research and development of three-valued logic circuits.

Two poles are found on the first and second Riemann sheets corresponding to the $D^{*0}\bar{D}^0$ branch cut. The pole location on the first sheet is much closer to the $D^{*0}\bar{D}^0$ threshold than the other, and is determined to be $7.04\pm0.15^{+0.07}_{-0.08}$ MeV above the $D^0\bar{D}^0π^0$ threshold with an imaginary part $-0.19\pm0.08^{+0.14}_{-0.19}$ MeV.

This paper presents an end-to-end high-quality singing voice synthesis (SVS) system that uses bidirectional encoder representation from Transformers (BERT) derived semantic embeddings to improve the expressiveness of the synthesized singing voice. Based on the main architecture of recently proposed VISinger, we put forward several specific designs for expressive singing voice synthesis. First, different from the previous SVS models, we use text representation of lyrics extracted from pre-trained BERT as additional input to the model. The representation contains information about semantics of the lyrics, which could help SVS system produce more expressive and natural voice. Second, we further introduce an energy predictor to stabilize the synthesized voice and model the wider range of energy variations that also contribute to the expressiveness of singing voice. Last but not the least, to attenuate the off-key issues, the pitch predictor is re-designed to predict the real to note pitch ratio. Both objective and subjective experimental results indicate that the proposed SVS system can produce singing voice with higher-quality outperforming VISinger.

The spontaneous behavior that often occurs in conversations makes speech more human-like compared to reading-style. However, synthesizing spontaneous-style speech is challenging due to the lack of high-quality spontaneous datasets and the high cost of labeling spontaneous behavior. In this paper, we propose a semi-supervised pre-training method to increase the amount of spontaneous-style speech and spontaneous behavioral labels. In the process of semi-supervised learning, both text and speech information are considered for detecting spontaneous behaviors labels in speech. Moreover, a linguistic-aware encoder is used to model the relationship between each sentence in the conversation. Experimental results indicate that our proposed method achieves superior expressive speech synthesis performance with the ability to model spontaneous behavior in spontaneous-style speech and predict reasonable spontaneous behavior from text.

For text-to-speech (TTS) synthesis, prosodic structure prediction (PSP) plays an important role in producing natural and intelligible speech. Although inter-utterance linguistic information can influence the speech interpretation of the target utterance, previous works on PSP mainly focus on utilizing intrautterance linguistic information of the current utterance only. This work proposes to use inter-utterance linguistic information to improve the performance of PSP. Multi-level contextual information, which includes both inter-utterance and intrautterance linguistic information, is extracted by a hierarchical encoder from character level, utterance level and discourse level of the input text. Then a multi-task learning (MTL) decoder predicts prosodic boundaries from multi-level contextual information. Objective evaluation results on two datasets show that our method achieves better F1 scores in predicting prosodic word (PW), prosodic phrase (PPH) and intonational phrase (IPH). It demonstrates the effectiveness of using multi-level contextual information for PSP. Subjective preference tests also indicate the naturalness of synthesized speeches are improved.

Contrastive learning has emerged as a cornerstone in recent achievements of unsupervised representation learning. Its primary paradigm involves an instance discrimination task with a mutual information loss. The loss is known as InfoNCE and it has yielded vital insights into contrastive learning through the lens of mutual information analysis. However, the estimation of mutual information can prove challenging, creating a gap between the elegance of its mathematical foundation and the complexity of its estimation. As a result, drawing rigorous insights or conclusions from mutual information analysis becomes intricate. In this study, we introduce three novel methods and a few related theorems, aimed at enhancing the rigor of mutual information analysis. Despite their simplicity, these methods can carry substantial utility. Leveraging these approaches, we reassess three instances of contrastive learning analysis, illustrating their capacity to facilitate deeper comprehension or to rectify pre-existing misconceptions. Specifically, we investigate small batch size, mutual information as a measure, and the InfoMin principle.

Room layout estimation predicts layouts from a single panorama. It requires datasets with large-scale and diverse room shapes to train the models. However, there are significant imbalances in real-world datasets including the dimensions of layout complexity, camera locations, and variation in scene appearance. These issues considerably influence the model training performance. In this work, we propose the imBalance-Aware Room Layout Estimation (iBARLE) framework to address these issues. iBARLE consists of (1) Appearance Variation Generation (AVG) module, which promotes visual appearance domain generalization, (2) Complex Structure Mix-up (CSMix) module, which enhances generalizability w.r.t. room structure, and (3) a gradient-based layout objective function, which allows more effective accounting for occlusions in complex layouts. All modules are jointly trained and help each other to achieve the best performance. Experiments and ablation studies based on ZInD~\cite{cruz2021zillow} dataset illustrate that iBARLE has state-of-the-art performance compared with other layout estimation baselines.

Unsupervised anomaly detection (UAD) is a widely adopted approach in industry due to rare anomaly occurrences and data imbalance. A desirable characteristic of an UAD model is contained generalization ability which excels in the reconstruction of seen normal patterns but struggles with unseen anomalies. Recent studies have pursued to contain the generalization capability of their UAD models in reconstruction from different perspectives, such as design of neural network (NN) structure and training strategy. In contrast, we note that containing of generalization ability in reconstruction can also be obtained simply from steep-shaped loss landscape. Motivated by this, we propose a loss landscape sharpening method by amplifying the reconstruction loss, dubbed Loss AMPlification (LAMP). LAMP deforms the loss landscape into a steep shape so the reconstruction error on unseen anomalies becomes greater. Accordingly, the anomaly detection performance is improved without any change of the NN architecture. Our findings suggest that LAMP can be easily applied to any reconstruction error metrics in UAD settings where the reconstruction model is trained with anomaly-free samples only.

We discuss halo-independent constraints on the Inelastic Dark Matter (IDM) scenario, in which a Weakly Interaction Massive Particle (WIMP) state $χ$ with mass $m_χ$ interacts with nuclear targets by upscattering to a heavier state $χ^{\prime}$ with mass $m_χ+δ$. In order to do so we adopt the single-stream method, that exploits the complementarity of Direct Detection (DD) and Capture in the Sun to extend the experimental sensitivity to the full range of incoming WIMP speeds. We show that a non-vanishing mass splitting $δ$ modifies such range, and that for particular combinations of $m_χ$ and $δ$ the complementarity between the two detection techniques required by the method is lost. Specifically, assuming for the escape velocity in our Galaxy $u_{esc}$ the reference value $u_{esc}^{ref}$ = 560 km/s a halo-independent bound is possible when $δ\lesssim$ 510 keV for a Spin-Independent interaction and when $δ\lesssim$ 245 keV for a Spin-Dependent interaction (with the Spin-Independent value slightly reduced to $δ\lesssim$ 490 keV when $u_{esc}>u_{esc}^{ref}$). In the low-mass regime the bound from capture in the Sun is always more constraining than that for DD and is sufficient alone to provide a halo-independent constraint, while for large WIMP masses the halo-independent bound is given by a combination of capture in the Sun and DD. We also find that, for $u_{esc}$ = $u_{esc}^{ref}$, unless the mass of the target used in DD is larger than about four times that of the target driving capture in the Sun, DD does not play any role in the determination of the maximal value of $δ$ for which a halo-independent bound is possible. We also discuss the issue of thermalization of IDM within the Sun and show that its impact on our results is mild.

Since wearable linkage mechanisms could control the moment transmission from actuator(s) to wearers, they can help ensure that even low-cost wearable systems provide advanced functionality tailored to users' needs. For example, if a hip mechanism transforms an input torque into a spatially-varying moment, a wearer can get effective assistance both in the sagittal and frontal planes during walking, even with an affordable single-actuator system. However, due to the combinatorial nature of the linkage mechanism design space, the topologies of such nonlinear-moment-generating mechanisms are challenging to determine, even with significant computational resources and numerical data. Furthermore, on-premise production development and interactive design are nearly impossible in conventional synthesis approaches. Here, we propose an innovative autonomous computational approach for synthesizing such wearable robot mechanisms, eliminating the need for exhaustive searches or numerous data sets. Our method transforms the synthesis problem into a gradient-based optimization problem with sophisticated objective and constraint functions while ensuring the desired degree of freedom, range of motion, and force transmission characteristics. To generate arbitrary mechanism topologies and dimensions, we employed a unified ground model. By applying the proposed method for the design of hip joint mechanisms, the topologies and dimensions of non-series-type hip joint mechanisms were obtained. Biomechanical simulations validated its multi-moment assistance capability, and its wearability was verified via prototype fabrication. The proposed design strategy can open a new way to design various wearable robot mechanisms, such as shoulders, knees, and ankles.

An equivalent width (EW) based classification may cause the erroneous judgement to the flat spectrum radio quasars (FSRQs) and BL Lacerate objects (BL Lac) due to the diluting the line features by dramatic variations in the jet continuum flux. To help address the issue, the present paper explore the possible intrinsic classification on the bias of a random forest supervised machine learning algorithm. In order to do so, we compile a sample of 1680 Fermi blazars that have both gamma-rays and radio-frequencies data available from the 4LAC-DR2 catalog, which includes 1352 training and validation samples and 328 forecast samples. By studying the results for all of the different combinations of 23 characteristic parameters, we found that there are 178 optimal parameters combinations (OPCs) with the highest accuracy ($\simeq$ 98.89\%). Using the combined classification results from the nine combinations of these OPCs to the 328 forecast samples, we predict that there are 113 true BL Lacs (TBLs) and 157 false BL Lacs (FBLs) that are possible intrinsically FSRQs misclassified as BL Lacs. The FBLs show a clear separation from TBLs and FSRQs in the $γ$-ray photon spectral index, $Γ_{\rm ph}$, and X-band radio flux, ${\rm log}{F_{R}}$, plot. Phenomenally, existence a BL Lac to FSRQ (B-to-F) transition zone is suggested, where the FBLs are in the stage of transition from BL Lacs to FSRQs. Comparing the LSP Changing-Look Blazars (CLBs) reported in the literatures, the majority of LSP CLBs are located at the B-to-F zone. We argue that the FBLs located at B-to-F transition zone are the most likely Candidates of CLBs.

Fault Localization (FL), in which a developer seeks to identify which part of the code is malfunctioning and needs to be fixed, is a recurring challenge in debugging. To reduce developer burden, many automated FL techniques have been proposed. However, prior work has noted that existing techniques fail to provide rationales for the suggested locations, hindering developer adoption of these techniques. With this in mind, we propose AutoFL, a Large Language Model (LLM)-based FL technique that generates an explanation of the bug along with a suggested fault location. AutoFL prompts an LLM to use function calls to navigate a repository, so that it can effectively localize faults over a large software repository and overcome the limit of the LLM context length. Extensive experiments on 798 real-world bugs in Java and Python reveal AutoFL improves method-level acc@1 by up to 233.3% over baselines. Furthermore, developers were interviewed on their impression of AutoFL-generated explanations, showing that developers generally liked the natural language explanations of AutoFL, and that they preferred reading a few, high-quality explanations instead of many.

Cybersickness is a serious usability problem in virtual reality. Postural (or balance) instability theory has emerged as one of the major hypotheses for the cause of cybersickness. In this paper, we conducted a two-week-long experiment to observe the trends in user balance learning and sickness tolerance under different experimental conditions to analyze the potential inter-relationship between them. The experimental results have shown, aside from the obvious improvement in balance performance itself, that accompanying balance training had a stronger effect of increasing tolerance to cybersickness than mere exposure to VR. In addition, training in immersive VR was found to be more effective than using the 2D-based non-immersive medium, especially for the transfer effect to other non-training VR content.

Photons can undergo spin-orbit coupling, by which the polarization (spin) and spatial profile (orbit) of the electromagnetic field interact and mix. Strong photonic spin-orbit coupling may reportedly arise from light propagation confined in a small cross-section, where the optical modes feature spin-orbit entanglement. However, while photonic Hamiltonians generally exhibit nonlinearity, the role and implication of spin-orbit entanglement in nonlinear optics have received little attention and are still elusive. Here, we report the first experimental demonstration of nonlinear optical frequency conversion, where spin-orbit entanglement facilitates spin-to-orbit transfer among different optical frequencies. By pum** a multimode optical nanofiber with a spin-polarized Gaussian pump beam, we produce an optical vortex at the third harmonic, which has long been regarded as a forbidden process in isotropic media. Our findings offer a unique and powerful means for efficient optical vortex generation that only incorporates a single Gaussian pump beam, in sharp contrast to any other approaches employing structured pump fields or sophisticatedly designed media. Our work opens up new possibilities of spin-orbit-coupling subwavelength waveguides, inspiring fundamental studies of nonlinear optics involving various types of structured light, as well as paving the way for the realization of hybrid quantum systems comprised of telecom photonic networks and long-lived quantum memories.

To model complex turbulent flow and heat transfer phenomena, this study aims to analyze and develop a reduced modeling approach based on artificial neural network (ANN) and wrapper methods. This approach has an advantage over other methods such as the correlation-based filter method in terms of removing redundant or irrelevant parameters even under non-linearity among them. As a downside, the overfitting and randomness of ANN training may produce inconsistent subsets over selection trials especially in a higher physical dimension. This study analyzes a few existing ANN-based wrapper methods and develops a revised one based on the gradient-based subset selection indices to minimize the loss in the total derivative or the directional consistency at each elimination step. To examine parameter reduction performance and consistency-over-trials, we apply these methods to a manufactured subset selection problem, modeling of the bubble size in a turbulent bubbly flow, and modeling of the spatially varying turbulent Prandtl number in a duct flow. It is found that the gradient-based subset selection to minimize the total derivative loss results in improved consistency-over-trials compared to the other ANN-based wrapper methods, while removing unnecessary parameters successfully. For the reduced turbulent Prandtl number model, the gradient-based subset selection improves the prediction in the validation case over the other methods. Also, the reduced parameter subsets show a slight increase in the training speed compared to the others.

In this paper, we propose a sub-Nyquist sampling (SNS) orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) radar system capable of reducing the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) sampling rate in OFDM radar without any additional manipulations of its hardware and waveform. To this end, the proposed system utilizes the ADC sampling rate of B/L to sample the received baseband signal with a bandwidth of B, where L is a positive proper divisor of the number of subcarriers. This divides the baseband signal into L sub-bands, folding into a sub-Nyquist frequency band due to aliasing. By leveraging known modulation symbols of the transmitted signal, the folded signal can be unfolded to the full-band signal. This allows an estimation of target ranges with the range resolution of the full signal bandwidth B without the degradation of the maximum unambiguous range. During the signal-unfolding process, the signals from other sub-bands remain as symbol-mismatch noise (SMN), which significantly degrades the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the detected targets. It also causes weaker targets to be submerged under the noise in range profiles. To resolve this, a symbol-mismatch noise cancellation (SMNC) technique is also proposed, which reconstructs the interfering signals from the other sub-bands using the detected targets and subtracts them from the unfolded signal. As a result, the proposed sub-Nyquist sampling OFDM radar and corresponding signal processing technique enable a reduction in the ADC sampling rate by the ratio of L while incurring only a 10 log10 L increase in the noise due to noise folding. This is validated through simulations and measurements with various sub-sampling ratios.

The choice of boundary condition makes an essential difference in the solution structure of diffusion equations. The Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions and their combination have been the most used, but their legitimacy has been disputed. We show that the diffusion laws may select boundary conditions by themselves, and through this, we clarify the meaning of boundary conditions. To do that we extend the domain with a boundary into the whole space by giving a small diffusivity $\eps>0$ outside the domain. Then, we show that the boundary condition turns out to be Neumann or Dirichlet as $\eps\to0$ depending on the choice of a heterogeneous diffusion law. These boundary conditions are interpreted in terms of a microscopic-scale random walk model.

How can we apply human feedback into generative model? As answer of this question, in this paper, we show the method applied on denoising problem and domain adaptation using human feedback. Deep generative models have demonstrated impressive results in image denoising. However, current image denoising models often produce inappropriate results when applied to domains different from the ones they were trained on. If there are `Good' and `Bad' result for unseen data, how to raise up quality of `Bad' result. Most methods use an approach based on generalization of model. However, these methods require target image for training or adapting unseen domain. In this paper, to adapting domain, we deal with non-target image for unseen domain, and improve specific failed image. To address this, we propose a method for fine-tuning inappropriate results generated in a different domain by utilizing human feedback. First, we train a generator to denoise images using only the noisy MNIST digit '0' images. The denoising generator trained on the source domain leads to unintended results when applied to target domain images. To achieve domain adaptation, we construct a noise-image denoising generated image data set and train a reward model predict human feedback. Finally, we fine-tune the generator on the different domain using the reward model with auxiliary loss function, aiming to transfer denoising capabilities to target domain. Our approach demonstrates the potential to efficiently fine-tune a generator trained on one domain using human feedback from another domain, thereby enhancing denoising abilities in different domains.

The lower energy peak of the spectral energy distribution of blazars has commonly been ascribed to synchrotron radiation from relativistic particles in the jets. Despite the consensus regarding jet emission processes, the particle acceleration mechanism is still debated. Here, we present the first X-ray polarization observations of PG 1553+113, a high-synchrotron-peak blazar observed by the Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer (IXPE). We detect an X-ray polarization degree of $(10\pm2)\%$ along an electric-vector position angle of $ψ_X=86^{\circ}\pm8^{\circ}$. At the same time, the radio and optical polarization degrees are lower by a factor of $\sim$3. During our IXPE pointing, we observed the first orphan optical polarization swing of the IXPE era, as the optical angle of PG 1553+113 underwent a smooth monotonic rotation by about 125$^\circ$, with a rate of $\sim$17 degrees per day. We do not find evidence of a similar rotation in either radio or X-rays, which suggests that the X-ray and optically emitting regions are separate or, at most, partially co-spatial. Our spectro-polarimetric results provide further evidence that the steady-state X-ray emission in blazars originates in a shock-accelerated and energy-stratified electron population.

Expressive speech synthesis is crucial for many human-computer interaction scenarios, such as audiobooks, podcasts, and voice assistants. Previous works focus on predicting the style embeddings at one single scale from the information within the current sentence. Whereas, context information in neighboring sentences and multi-scale nature of style in human speech are neglected, making it challenging to convert multi-sentence text into natural and expressive speech. In this paper, we propose MSStyleTTS, a style modeling method for expressive speech synthesis, to capture and predict styles at different levels from a wider range of context rather than a sentence. Two sub-modules, including multi-scale style extractor and multi-scale style predictor, are trained together with a FastSpeech 2 based acoustic model. The predictor is designed to explore the hierarchical context information by considering structural relationships in context and predict style embeddings at global-level, sentence-level and subword-level. The extractor extracts multi-scale style embedding from the ground-truth speech and explicitly guides the style prediction. Evaluations on both in-domain and out-of-domain audiobook datasets demonstrate that the proposed method significantly outperforms the three baselines. In addition, we conduct the analysis of the context information and multi-scale style representations that have never been discussed before.

Using a fully differential angular description of the final state particles, both the relative magnitude and phase information of the $Σ^{+}$ electromagnetic form factors in the timelike region are extracted. The relative phase between the electric and magnetic form factors is determined to be $\sinΔΦ$ = -0.67~$\pm$~0.29~(stat)~$\pm$~0.18~(syst) at $\sqrt{s}$ = 2.3960 GeV, $ΔΦ$ = 55$^{\circ}$~$\pm$~19$^{\circ}$~(stat) $\pm$~14$^{\circ}$~(syst) at $\sqrt{s}$ = 2.6454 GeV, and 78$^{\circ}$~$\pm$~22$^{\circ}$~(stat) $\pm$~9$^{\circ}$~(syst) at $\sqrt{s}$ = 2.9000 GeV. The evolution of the phase along with four-momentum transfer is an important input for understanding its asymptotic behavior and the dynamics of baryons.

The branching fraction of this decay is measured to be ${\mathcal B}(J/ψ\to e^+ e^- π^0 η(1405) \to e^+ e^- π^0 f_0(980) \to e^+ e^- π^0 π^+ π^-)=(2.02\pm0.24(\rm{stat.})\pm0.09(\rm{syst.}))\times 10^{-7}$. The branching-fraction ratio ${\mathcal B}(J/ψ\to e^+ e^- η(1405))$/${\mathcal B}(J/ψ\to γη(1405))$ is determined to be $(1.35\pm0.19(\rm{stat.})\pm0.06(\rm{syst.}))\times10^{-2}$. Furthermore, an $e^+e^-$ invariant-mass dependent transition form factor of $J/ψ\to e^+ e^-η(1405)$ is presented for the first time. The obtained result provides input for different theoretical models, and is valuable for the improved understanding the intrinsic structure of the $η(1405)$ meson.

Based on this, the product of the $D_s^+$ decay constant $f_{D_s^+}$ and the magnitude of the $c\to s$ quark mixing matrix element $|V_{cs}|$ is determined to be $f_{D_s^+}|V_{cs}|=241.8\pm2.5_{\rm stat}\pm2.2_{\rm syst}~\mathrm{MeV}$. Using the value of $|V_{cs}|$ given by the global standard model fit, $f_{D_s^+}$ is found to be $248.4\pm2.5_{\rm stat}\pm2.2_{\rm syst}$\,MeV. Alternatively, using the value of $f_{D_s^+}$ from a recent lattice quantum chromodynamics calculation, $|V_{cs}|$ is determined to be $0.968\pm0.010_{\rm stat}\pm0.009_{\rm syst}$.

A Known Alder-type partition inequality of level $a$, which involves the second Rogers-Ramanujan identity when the level $a$ is 2, states that the number of partitions of $n$ into parts differing by at least $d$ with the smallest part being at least $a$ is greater than or equal to that of partitions of $n$ into parts congruent to $\pm a \pmod{d+3}$, excluding the part $d+3-a$. In this paper, we prove that for all values of $d$ with a finite number of exceptions, an arbitrary level $a$ Alder-type partition inequality holds without requiring the exclusion of the part $d+3-a$ in the latter partition.

By analyzing 7.33 fb$^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.128 and 4.226 GeV with the BESIII detector, we report the observation of the semileptonic decay $D^+_s\to η^\prime μ^+ν_μ$, with a statistical significance larger than 10$σ$, and the measurements of the $D_s^+ \to ημ^+ν_μ$ and $D_s^+ \to η^\primeμ^+ν_μ$ decay dynamics for the first time. The branching fractions of $D_s^+ \to ημ^+ν_μ$ and $D_s^+ \to η^\primeμ^+ν_μ$ are determined to be $(2.235\pm0.051_{\rm stat}\pm0.052_{\rm syst})\%$ and $(0.801\pm0.055_{\rm stat}\pm0.028_{\rm syst})\%$, respectively, with precision improved by factors of 6.0 and 6.6 compared to the previous best measurements. Combined with the results for the decays $D_s^+ \to ηe^+ν_e$ and $D_s^+ \to η^\prime e^+ν_e$, the ratios of the decay widths are examined both inclusively and in several $\ell^+ν_\ell$ four-momentum transfer ranges. No evidence for lepton flavor universality violation is found within the current statistics. The products of the hadronic form factors $f_{+,0}^{η^{(\prime)}}(0)$ and the $c\to s$ Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{cs}|$ are determined. The results based on the two-parameter series expansion are $f^η_{+,0}(0)|V_{cs}| = 0.452\pm0.010_{\rm stat}\pm0.007_{\rm syst}$ and $f^{η^{\prime}}_{+,0}(0)|V_{cs}| = 0.504\pm0.037_{\rm stat}\pm0.012_{\rm syst}$, which help to constrain present models on $f_{+,0}^{η^{(\prime)}}(0)$. The forward-backward asymmetries are determined to be $\langle A_{\rm FB}^η\rangle=-0.059\pm0.031_{\rm stat}\pm0.005_{\rm syst}$ and $\langle A_{\rm FB}^{η^\prime}\rangle=-0.064\pm0.079_{\rm stat}\pm0.006_{\rm syst}$ for the first time, which are consistent with the theoretical calculation.
