In this paper, we have presented a power law cosmological model and its dynamical system analysis in $f(T,φ)$ gravity, where $T$ is the torsion scalar and $φ$ is the canonical scalar field. The two well-motivated forms of the non-minimal coupling function $F(φ)$, the exponential form and the power law form, with exponential potential function, are investigated. The dynamical system analysis is performed by establishing the dimensionless dynamical variables, and the critical points were obtained. The evolution of standard density parameters is analysed for each case. The behaviour of the equation of state (EoS) and deceleration parameter show agreement with the result of cosmological observations. The model parameters are constrained using the existence and the stability conditions of the critical points describing different epochs of the evolution of the Universe.

We use the transformation, $f(T,B,T_G,B_G)=-T+\mathcal{F}(T, B, T_G, B_G)$ in order to obtain the deviation from the Teleparallel Equivalent of General Relativity (TEGR). Two cosmological models pertaining to the functional form of $\mathcal{F}(T, B, T_G, B_G)$ have been studied. The well motivated forms are: (i) $\mathcal{F}(T, B, T_G, B_G) = f_{0} T^{m} B^{n}T_{G}^{k}$ and (ii) $\mathcal{F}(T, B, T_G, B_G)=b_{0} B + g_{0} T_{G}^{k} $. The evolutionary phases of the Universe have been identified through the detailed analysis of the critical points. Further, with the eigenvalues and phase space diagrams, the stability and attractor nature of the accelerating solution have been explored. The evolution plots have been analyzed for the corresponding cosmology and compatibility with the present observed value of standard density parameters have been shown.

Large spiking neural networks (SNNs) require ultra-low power and low variability hardware for neuromorphic computing applications. Recently, a band-to-band tunneling-based (BTBT) integrator, enabling sub-kHz operation of neurons with area and energy efficiency, was proposed. For an ultra-low power implementation of such neurons, a very low BTBT current is needed, so minimizing current without degrading neuronal properties is essential. Low variability is needed in the ultra-low current integrator to avoid network performance degradation in a large BTBT neuron-based SNN. To address this, we conducted design space and variability analysis in TCAD, utilizing a well-calibrated TCAD deck with experimental data from GlobalFoundries 32nm PD-SOI MOSFET. First, we discuss the physics-based explanation of the tunneling mechanism. Second, we explore the impact of device design parameters on SOI MOSFET performance, highlighting parameter sensitivities to tunneling current. With device parameters' optimization, we demonstrate a ~20x reduction in BTBT current compared to the experimental data. Finally, a variability analysis that includes the effects of random dopant fluctuations (RDF), oxide thickness variability (OTV), and channel-oxide interface traps DIT in the BTBT, SS, and ON regimes of operation is shown. The BTBT regime shows high sensitivity to the RDF and OTV as any variation in them directly modulates the tunnel length or the electric field at the drain-channel junction, whereas minimal sensitivity to DIT is observed.

Compact and energy-efficient Synapse and Neurons are essential to realize the full potential of neuromorphic computing. In addition, a low variability is indeed needed for neurons in Deep neural networks for higher accuracy. Further, process (P), voltage (V), and temperature (T) variation (PVT) are essential considerations for low-power circuits as performance impact and compensation complexities are added costs. Recently, band-to-band tunneling (BTBT) neuron has been demonstrated to operate successfully in a network to enable a Liquid State Machine. A comparison of the PVT with competing modes of operation (e.g., BTBT vs. sub-threshold and above threshold) of the same transistor is a critical factor in assessing performance. In this work, we demonstrate the PVT variation impact in the BTBT regime and benchmark the operation against the subthreshold slope (SS) and ON-regime (ION) of partially depleted-Silicon on Insulator MOSFET. It is shown that the On-state regime offers the lowest variability but dissipates higher power. Hence, not usable for low-power sources. Among the BTBT and SS regimes, which can enable the low-power neuron, the BTBT regime has shown ~3x variability reduction (σ_I_D/μ_I_D) than the SS regime, considering the cumulative PVT variability. The improvement is due to the well-known weaker P, V, and T dependence of BTBT vs. SS. We show that the BTBT variation is uncorrelated with mutually correlated SS & ION operation - indicating its different origin from the mechanism and location perspectives. Hence, the BTBT regime is promising for low-current, low-power, and low device-to-device variability neuron operation.

We use the map**, $f(T, B)$ $\rightarrow$-$T$+$\tilde{f}(T, B)$, and define the dynamical variables to form the autonomous dynamical system. The critical points are obtained in two well-motivated forms of $f (T, B)$, one that involves the logarithmic form of the boundary term B, and the other one is the non-linear form of the boundary term. The position of critical points is shown in the different evolutionary phases of the Universe such as radiation, matter, and de-Sitter phase. The stability condition of each of the critical points of both the models is derived and the behavior of each point has been obtained mathematically and through the phase portrait. The evolution of standard density parameters such as radiation ($Ω_{r}$), matter ($Ω_{m}$), and dark energy ($Ω_{DE}$) are also analyzed. Further to connect with the present cosmological scenario, the behavior of deceleration and equation of state parameter both in the dark energy phase ($ω_{DE}$) and total ($ω_{tot}$) are shown from the initial condition of the dynamical variables. The accelerating behaviour has been obtained for both models.

In the basic formalism developed, the dynamical parameters are derived by incorporating the power law and exponential scale factor function. The models are showing accelerating behaviour and approaches to $Λ$CDM at late time. The present value of the equation of state parameter for both the cases are obtained to be in accordance with the range provided by cosmological observations. The geometrical parameters and the scalar field reconstruction are performed to assess the viability of a late time accelerating Universe. Further the stability of both the models are presented. It has been observed that both the models are parameters dependent. Since most of the geometrically modified theories of gravity are favouring the violation of strong energy condition, we have derived the energy conditions both for the power law and exponential model. In both the models, the violation of strong energy condition established.

All degrees of freedom related to the torsion scalar can be explored by analysing, the $f(T,T_G)$ gravity formalism where, $T$ is a torsion scalar and $T_G$ is the teleparallel counterpart of the Gauss-Bonnet topological invariant term. The well-known Noether symmetry approach is a useful tool for selecting models that are motivated at a fundamental level and determining the exact solution to a given Lagrangian, hence we explore Noether symmetry approach in $f(T,T_G)$ gravity formalism with three different forms of $f(T,T_G)$ and study how to establish nontrivial Noether vector form for each one of them. We extend the analysis made in \cite{capozziello2016noether} for the form $f(T,T_{G})=b_{0}T_{G}^{k}+t_{0}T^{m}$ and discussed the symmetry for this model with linear teleparallel equivalent of the Gauss-Bonnet term, followed by the study of two models containing exponential form of the teleparallel equivalent of the Gauss-Bonnet term. We have shown that all three cases will allow us to obtain non-trivial Noether vector which will play an important role to obtain the exact solutions for the cosmological equations.

Teleparallel based cosmological models provide a description of gravity in which torsion is the mediator of gravitation. Several extensions have been made within the so-called Teleparallel equivalent of general relativity which is equivalent to general relativity at the level of the equations of motion where attempts are made to study the extensions of this form of gravity and to describe more general functions of the torsion scalar $T$. One of these extensions is $f(T,φ)$ gravity; $T$ and $φ$ respectively denote the torsion scalar and scalar field. In this work, the dynamical system analysis has been performed for this class of theories to obtain the cosmological behaviour of a number of models. Two models are presented here with some functional form of the torsion scalar and the critical points are obtained. For each critical point, the stability behaviour and the corresponding cosmology are shown. Through the graphical representation the equation of state parameter and the density parameters for matter-dominated, radiation-dominated and dark energy phase are also presented for both the models.

Scalar-tensor theories offer the prospect of explaining the cosmological evolution of the Universe through an effective description of dark energy as a quantity with a non-trivial evolution. In this work, we investigate this feature of scalar-tensor theories in the teleparallel gravity context. Teleparallel gravity is a novel description of geometric gravity as a torsional-rather than curvature-based quantity which presents a new foundational base for gravity. Our investigation is centered on the impact of a nontrivial input from the kinetic term of the scalar field. We consider a number of model settings in the context of the dynamical system to reveal their evolutionary behavior. We determine the critical points of these systems and discuss their dynamics.

Social media in present times has a significant and growing influence. Fake news being spread on these platforms have a disruptive and damaging impact on our lives. Furthermore, as multimedia content improves the visibility of posts more than text data, it has been observed that often multimedia is being used for creating fake content. A plethora of previous multimodal-based work has tried to address the problem of modeling heterogeneous modalities in identifying fake content. However, these works have the following limitations: (1) inefficient encoding of inter-modal relations by utilizing a simple concatenation operator on the modalities at a later stage in a model, which might result in information loss; (2) training very deep neural networks with a disproportionate number of parameters on small but complex real-life multimodal datasets result in higher chances of overfitting. To address these limitations, we propose GAME-ON, a Graph Neural Network based end-to-end trainable framework that allows granular interactions within and across different modalities to learn more robust data representations for multimodal fake news detection. We use two publicly available fake news datasets, Twitter and Weibo, for evaluations. Our model outperforms on Twitter by an average of 11% and keeps competitive performance on Weibo, within a 2.6% margin, while using 65% fewer parameters than the best comparable state-of-the-art baseline.
