Emergence of dynamical networks in termites
Abstract: Termites form complex dynamical trail networks from simple individual rules when exploring their environment. To help identify those simple rules, we reconstructed trail networks from time-lapse images of roaming termites. We quantified the trails' frequentations over time and compared them to the ones obtained by a null model. Arena borders were preferred in both simulated and observed data. Yet,… ▽ More

PRIM project: what contributions for disabilities?
Abstract: In the PRIM project, we aim at giving people the power to create scenagrams (interaction scenarios between a human and digital devices) without the need to learn programming or to ask for computer scientists. In this project, software design follows an unconventional approach, far from classical codes, to embody human thinking (based on interactions) instead of computer logic (based on algorithms)… ▽ More

Hadron-Hadron Interactions from $N_f=2+1+1$ Lattice QCD: The $ρ$-resonance
Abstract: We present an investigation of the Rho-meson from Nf=2+1+1 flavour lattice QCD. The calculation is performed based on gauge configuration ensembles produced by the ETM collaboration with three lattice spacing values and pion masses ranging from 230 MeV to 500 MeV. Applying the Lüscher method phase shift curves are determined for all ensembles separately. Assuming a Breit-Wigner form, the Rho-meson… ▽ More

Meson-meson scattering lengths at maximum isospin from lattice QCD
Abstract: We summarize our lattice QCD determinations of the pion-pion, pion-kaon and kaon-kaon s-wave scattering lengths at maximal isospin with a particular focus on the extrapolation to the physical point and the usage of next-to-leading order chiral perturbation theory to do so. We employ data at three values of the lattice spacing and pion masses ranging from around 230 MeV to around 450 MeV, applying… ▽ More

Topological susceptibility and $η'$ meson mass from $N_f=2$ lattice QCD at the physical point
Abstract: In this paper we explore the computation of topological susceptibility and $η'$ meson mass in $N_f=2$ flavor QCD using lattice techniques with physical value of the pion mass as well as larger pion mass values. We observe that the physical point can be reached without a significant increase in the statistical noise. The mass of the $η'$ meson can be obtained from both fermionic two point functions… ▽ More

Pi-Pi Scattering with Nf=2+1+1 Twisted Mass Fermions
Abstract: Pi-Pi scattering is investigated for the first time for Nf=2+1+1 dynamical quark flavours using Wilson twisted mass fermions. Lüscher's finite size method is used to relate energy shifts in finite volume to scattering quantities like the scattering length in the I=2 channel. The computation is performed at several pion masses and lattice spacings utilising the stochastic LapH method.
