Observational Search for PeV-EeV Tau Neutrino from GRB081203A
Abstract: We report the first observational search for tau neutrinos from gamma ray bursts (GRBs) using one of the Ashra light collectors. The earth-skimming tau-neutrino technique of imaging Cherenkov tau showers was applied as a detection method. We set stringent upper limits on the tau-neutrino fluence in PeV-EeV region for 3780 s (between 2.83 and 1.78 hours before) and another 3780 s (between 21.2 and… ▽ More

Detecting Very High Energy Neutrinos by the Telescope Array
Abstract: We present the cosmic neutrino detecting potential of the Telescope Array for quasihorizontally downward and upward air showers initiated by very high energy neutrinos penetrating the air and the Earth respectively. We adopted model predictions for extraterrestrial neutrino fluxes from active galactic nuclei, gamma-ray bursters, Greisen photo production, the collapse of topological defects, and… ▽ More

SSC of MAXI experiment
Abstract: Monitor of All-sky X-ray Image (MAXI) on the International Space Station (ISS) has two kinds of X-ray detectors: the Gas Slit Camera (GSC) and the Solid-state Slit Camera (SSC). SSC is an X-ray CCD array, consisting of 16 chips, which has the best energy resolution as an X-ray all-sky monitor in the energy band of 0.5 to 10 keV. Each chip consists of 1024x1024 pixels with a pixel size of 24$μ$m,… ▽ More
