Purpose Study on curcumin dissolved in natural deep eutectic solvents (NADES) was aimed at exploiting their beneficial properties as drug carriers. Methods The concentration of dissolved curcumin in NADES was measured. Simulated gastrointestinal fluids were used to determine the concentration of curcumin and quantum chemistry computations were performed for clarifying the origin of curcumin solubility enhancement in NADES. Results NADES comprising choline chloride and glycerol had the highest potential for curcumin dissolution. This system was also successfully applied as an extraction medium for obtaining curcuminoids from natural sources, as well as an effective stabilizer preventing curcumin degradation from sunlight. The solubility of curcumin in simulated gastrointestinal fluids revealed that the significant increase of bioavailability takes place in the small intestinal fluid. Conclusions Suspension of curcumin in NADES offers beneficial properties of this new liquid drug formulation starting from excreting from natural sources, through safe storage and ending on the final administration route. Therefore, there is a possibility of using a one-step process with this medium. The performed quantum chemistry computations clearly indicated the origin of the enhanced solubility of curcumin in NADES in the presence of intestinal fluids. Direct intermolecular contacts leading to hetero-molecular pairs with choline chloride and glycerol are responsible for elevating the bulk concentration of curcumin. Choline chloride plays a dominant role in the system and the complexes formed with curcumin are the most stable among all possible homo- and hetero-molecular pairs that can be found in NADES-curcumin systems.

In this letter, we address the question of whether the almost four standard deviations difference between theory and experiment for the muon anomalous magnetic moment $a_μ$ can be explained as a higher-order Standard Model perturbation effect in the pion form factor measurements. This question has, until now, remained open, obscuring the source of discrepancies between the measurements. We calculate the last radiative corrections for the extraction of the pion form factor, which were believed to be potentially substantial enough to explain the data within the Standard Model. We find that the corrections are too small to diminish existing discrepancies in the determination of the pion form factor for different kinematical configurations of low-energy BABAR, BESS-III and KLOE experiments. Consequently, they cannot noticeably change the previous predictions for $a_μ$ and decrease the deviations between theory and direct measurements. To solve the above issues, new data and better understanding of low-energy experimental setups are needed, especially as new direct $a_μ$ measurements at Fermilab and J-PARC will provide new insights and substantially shrink the experimental error.

A new method of Hansen solubility parameters (HSPs) prediction was developed by combining the multivariate adaptive regression splines (MARSplines) methodology with a simple multivariable regression involving 1D and 2D PaDEL molecular descriptors. In order to adopt the MARSplines approach to QSPR/QSAR problems, several optimization procedures were proposed and tested. The effectiveness of the obtained models was checked via standard QSPR/QSAR internal validation procedures provided by the QSARINS software and by predicting the solubility classification of polymers and drug-like solid solutes in collections of solvents. By utilizing information derived only from SMILES strings, the obtained models allow for computing all of the three Hansen solubility parameters including dispersion, polarization, and hydrogen bonding. Although several descriptors are required for proper parameters estimation, the proposed procedure is simple and straightforward and does not require a molecular geometry optimization. The obtained HSP values are highly correlated with experimental data, and their application for solving solubility problems leads to essentially the same quality as for the original parameters. Based on provided models, it is possible to characterize any solvent and liquid solute for which HSP data are unavailable.

During the last several years remarkable progress has been made in numerical calculations of dimensionally regulated multi-loop Feynman diagrams using Mellin-Barnes (MB) representations. The bottlenecks were non-planar diagrams and Minkowskian kinematics. The method has been proved to work in highly non-trivial physical application (two-loop electroweak bosonic corrections to the $Z \to b \bar{b}$ decay), and cross-checked with the sector decomposition (SD) approach. In fact, both approaches have their pros and cons. In calculation of multidimensional integrals, depending on masses and scales involved, they are complementary. A powerful top-bottom approach to the numerical integration of multidimensional MB integrals is automatized in the MB-suite AMBRE/MB/ MBtools/MBnumerics/CUBA. Key elements are a dedicated use of the Cheng-Wu theorem for non-planar topologies and of shifts and deformations of the integration contours. An alternative bottom-up approach starting with complex 1-dimensional MB-integrals, based on the exploration of steepest descent integration contours in Minkowskian kinematics, is also discussed. Short and long term prospects of the MB-method for multi-loop applications to LHC- and LC-physics are discussed.

Left-Right symmetric models with general $g_L \neq g_R$ gauge couplings which include bidoublet and triplet scalar multiplets are studied. Possible scalar mass spectra are outlined by imposing Tree-Unitarity, and Vacuum Stability criteria and also using the bounds on neutral scalar masses $M_{\rm H^{ FCNC}}$ which assure the absence of Flavour Changing Neutral Currents (FCNC). We are focusing on mass spectra relevant for the LHC analysis, i.e., the scalar masses are around TeV scale. As all non-standard heavy particle masses are related to the vacuum expectation value (VEV) of the right-handed triplet ($v_R$), the combined effects of relevant Higgs potential parameters and $M_{\rm H^{ FCNC}}$ regulate the lower limits of heavy gauge boson masses. The complete set of Renormalization Group Evolutions for all couplings are provided at the 1-loop level, including the mixing effects in the Yukawa sector. Most of the scalar couplings suffer from the Landau poles at the intermediate scale $Q \sim 10^{6.5}$ GeV, which in general coincides with violation of the Tree-Unitarity bounds.

We demonstrate on the example of specific observables related to high and low energy processes how a strength of LNV correlates with neutrino parameters such as CP-phases, flavor mixings, mass ratios. We stress the coaction between low and high energy studies for putting phenomenological models to a quantitative test. Secondly, we conclude that in order to fully study the role of heavy neutrinos in search for New Physics (NP) signals, a departure from trivial scenarios assuming degeneracy in mass and no flavor mixing or CP-phases becomes necessary for a proper physical analysis.

As an additional benefit, a natural interpretation of the reported ratio (14:1) of the opposite-sign (OS) $pp\to l^\pm l^\mp jj$ to the same-sign (SS) $pp\to l^\pm l^\pm jj$ lepton signals is possible. Finally, a suppression of muon pairs with respect to electron pairs in the $pp \to lljj$ data is obtained, in accordance with experimental data. If the excess in the CMS data survives in the future, it would be a first clear hint towards presence of heavy neutrinos in right-handed charged currents with specific CP phases, mixing angles and masses, which will have far reaching consequences for particle physics directions.

Production and decays of doubly charged Higgs bosons at the LHC and future hadron colliders triggered by vector boson fusion mechanism are discussed in the context of the Minimal Left-Right Symmetric Model. Our analysis is based on the Higgs boson mass spectrum compatible with available constraints which include FCNC effects and vacuum stability of the scalar potential. Though the parity breaking scale $v_R$ is large ($\sim$ few TeV) and scalar masses which contribute to FCNC effects are even larger, consistent Higgs boson mass spectrum still allows us to keep doubly charged scalar masses below 1 TeV which is an interesting situation for LHC and future FCC colliders. We have shown that allowed Higgs bosons mass spectrum constrains the splittings ($M_{H_{1}^{\pm \pm}}-M_{H_{1}^\pm}$), closing the possibility of $H_{1}^{\pm\pm}\to W_{1}^\pm H_{1}^\pm$ decays. Assuming that doubly charged Higgs bosons decay predominantly into a pair of same sign charged leptons through the process $p p \rightarrow H_{1/2}^{\pm \pm} H_{1/2}^{\mp \mp} j j \rightarrow \ell^{\pm} \ell^{\pm} \ell^{\mp} \ell^{\mp} jj$, we find that for LHC operating at $\sqrt{s}=14$ TeV with an integrated luminosity at the level of $3000\,\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ (HL-LHC) there is practically no chance to detect such particles at the reasonable significance level through this channel. However, 33 TeV HE-LHC and (or) 100 TeV FCC-hh open up a wide region for doubly charged Higgs boson mass spectrum to be explored. In FCC-hh, doubly charged Higgs bosons mass up to 1 TeV can be probed easily.

The doubly charged Higgs bosons $H_{1,2}^{\pm\pm}$ would undoubtedly be clear messengers of the new physics. We discuss their mass spectrum and show how experimental data and relations between scalar masses put limits on it. In particular, both the masses of the particles $H_1^0$, $A_1^0$ that play a crucial role in FCNC effects and the masses of the additional gauge bosons $W_2$, $Z_2$ are notably important. For instance, if $M_{H_1^0,A_1^0}\simeq 15$ TeV and $M_{W_2}\simeq 3.76$ TeV then the lowest mass of $H_1^{\pm\pm}$ is 465 GeV. In contrast, due to the freedom in the parameter space of the full scalar potential, there is no lowest limit on the mass of $H_2^{\pm\pm}$. It is shown to which signals at hadron colliders such relatively light doubly charged scalars might correspond. LHC working at $\sqrt{s}=14$ TeV will enter into the region where existence of such particles with minimal masses can be thoroughly explored for a much wider parameter space of the minimal and manifest version of the left-right symmetric model (MLRSM). Taking into account our considerations and present ATLAS and CMS exclusion limits on $M_{H^{\pm\pm}}$, there exist already first partial bounds on some of the MLRSM scalar potential parameters.

It turns out that these interactions are relevant when coexist with appropriate messenger-MSSM couplings. Then they induce extra contributions to 2-loop soft masses. In the present model, we derive all such soft terms and discuss constraints which have to be satisfied to avoid rapid proton decay and mu/B_mu problem. As an example, it is shown how superpotential couplings of three messengers influence mass spectra when the model is restricted by additional global U(1)_q symmetry. We find that masses of the lightest sleptons are the most sensitive to those new interactions, what in some cases results in the NLSP/NNLSP pattern in which stau or selectron is lighter than the lightest neutralino.
