The ability to mimic protein-based oxidase with multi-functional inorganic nanozymes would greatly advance biomedical and clinical practices. Praseodymia (PrOx) nanorods (NRs) and nanoparticles (NPs) have been synthesized using hydrothermal and precipitation methods. Both PrOx catalysts with different morphologies exhibit significantly higher oxidase-like activities (Michaelis-Menten constant Km < 0.026 mM) than commercial PrOx and most so-far-reported artificial enzymes. One of the substrates, dopamine, can be oxidized and further polymerized to generate polydopamine in acidic conditions. Akin to CeO2, which is a well-studied nanozyme, a different mechanism involving holes+, oxygen vacancies and oxygen mobility over PrOx catalysts has been proposed in this work. However, fluoride ions were found to impose opposite effects on the oxidase-mimicking activity of PrOx and CeO2, implying a promising path for the exploration of new nanozymes. In support of this, PrOx was further applied in colorimetric sensing of L-cysteine and fluoride with high sensitivity.

Hybrid semiconductor pixelated detectors from the Timepix family are advanced detectors for online particle tracking, offering energy measurement and precise time stam** capabilities for particles of various types and energies. This inherent capability makes them highly suitable for various applications, including imaging, medical fields such as radiotherapy and particle therapy, space-based applications aboard satellites and the International Space Station, and industrial applications. The data generated by these detectors is complex, necessitating the development and deployment of various analytical techniques to extract essential information. For this purpose, and to aid the Timepix user community, it was designed and developed the "Data Processing Engine" (DPE) as an advanced tool for data processing designed explicitly for Timepix detectors. The functionality of the DPE is structured into three distinct processing levels: i) Pre-processing: This phase involves clusterization and the application of necessary calibrations and corrections. ii) Processing: This stage includes particle classification, employing machine learning algorithms, and the recognition of radiation fields. iii) Post-processing: Involves various analyses, such as directional analysis, coincidence analysis, frame analysis, Compton directional analysis, and the generation of physics products, are performed. The core of the DPE is supported by an extensive experimental database containing calibrations and referential radiation fields of typical environments, including protons, ions, electrons, gamma rays and X-rays, as well as thermal and fast neutrons. To enhance accessibility, the DPE is implemented into various user interface platforms such as a command-line tool, an application programming interface, and as a graphical user interface in the form of a web portal.

Photoplethysmography (PPG) is an attractive method to acquire vital signs such as heart rate and blood oxygenation and is frequently used in clinical and at-home settings. Continuous operation of health monitoring devices demands a low power sensor that does not restrict the device battery life. Silicon photodiodes (PD) and LEDs are commonly used as the interface devices in PPG sensors; however, using of flexible organic devices can enhance the sensor conformality and reduce the cost of fabrication. In most PPG sensors, most of system power consumption is concentrated in powering LEDs, traditionally consuming mWs. Using organic devices further increases this power demand since these devices exhibit larger parasitic capacitances and typically need higher drive voltages. This work presents a sensor IC for continuous SpO$_2$ and HR monitoring that features an on-chip reconstruction-free sparse sampling algorithm to reduce the overall system power consumption by $\sim$70\% while maintaining the accuracy of the output information. The designed frontend is compatible with a wide range of devices from silicon PDs to organic PDs with parasitic capacitances up to 10 nF. Implemented in a 40 nm HV CMOS process, the chip occupies 2.43 mm$^2$ and consumes 49.7 $μ$W and 15.2 $μ$W of power in continuous and sparse sampling modes respectively. The performance of the sensor IC has been verified \textit{in vivo} with both types of devices and the results are compared against a clinical grade reference. Less than 1 bpm and 1\% mean absolute errors were achieved in both continuous and sparse modes of operation.

Recent experimental studies of excited state trions might be explained and identified by these resonant states.

There is a strong devotion in the automotive industry to be part of a wider progression towards the Fifth Generation (5G) era. In-vehicle integration costs between cellular and vehicle-to-vehicle networks using Dedicated Short Range Communication could be avoided by adopting Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) technology with the possibility to re-use the existing mobile network infrastructure. More and more, with the emergence of Software Defined Networks, the flexibility and the programmability of the network have not only impacted the design of new vehicular network architectures but also the implementation of V2X services in future intelligent transportation systems. In this paper, we define the concepts that help evaluate software-defined-based vehicular network systems in the literature based on their modeling and implementation schemes. We first overview the current studies available in the literature on C-V2X technology in support of V2X applications. We then present the different architectures and their underlying system models for LTE-V2X communications. We later describe the key ideas of software-defined networks and their concepts for V2X services. Lastly, we provide a comparative analysis of existing SDN-based vehicular network system grouped according to their modeling and simulation concepts. We provide a discussion and highlight vehicular ad-hoc networks' challenges handled by SDN-based vehicular networks.

The most concerned issues are the tracking and the location privacy. Numerous scholars tried to solve these problems, but their proposals do not include the after-sales service. In this paper, we propose a purchase and after-sales service RFID scheme for shop** mall. The location privacy, confidentiality, data integrity, and some security protection are hold in this propose mechanism.
