Classification of diffraction patterns in single particle imaging experiments performed at X-ray free-electron lasers using a convolutional neural network
Abstract: Single particle imaging (SPI) is a promising method for native structure determination which has undergone a fast progress with the development of X-ray Free-Electron Lasers. Large amounts of data are collected during SPI experiments, driving the need for automated data analysis. The necessary data analysis pipeline has a number of steps including binary object classification (single versus multip… ▽ More

An advanced workflow for single particle imaging with the limited data at an X-ray free-electron laser
Abstract: An improved analysis for single particle imaging (SPI) experiments, using the limited data, is presented here. Results are based on a study of bacteriophage PR772 performed at the AMO instrument at the Linac Coherent Light Source (LCLS) as part of the SPI initiative. Existing methods were modified to cope with the shortcomings of the experimental data: inaccessibility of information from the half… ▽ More

ATENSOR - REDUCE program for tensor simplification
Abstract: The paper presents a REDUCE program for the simplification of tensor expressions that are considered as formal indexed objects. The proposed algorithm is based on the consideration of tensor expressions as vectors in some linear space. This linear space is formed by all the elements of the group algebra of the corresponding tensor expression. Such approach permits us to simplify the tensor express… ▽ More

Growth of AlGaN under the conditions of significant gallium evaporation: phase separation and enhanced lateral growth
Abstract: Growth kinetics of AlGaN in NH3 MBE under significant Ga desorption was studied. It was found that the addition of gallium stimulates 2D growth and provides better morphology of films compared to pure AlN. The effect was experimentally observed at up to 98% desorption of the im**ing gallium. We found that, under the conditions of significant thermal desorption, larger amounts of gallium were ret… ▽ More

Resonant addressing and manipulation of silicon vacancy qubits in silicon carbide

Precision measurements, extra generations and heavy neutrino
Abstract: The existence of extra chiral generations with all fermions heavier than $M_Z$ is strongly disfavored by the precision electroweak data. The exclusion of one additional generation of heavy fermions in SUSY extension of Standard Model is less forbidden if chargino and neutralino have low degenerate masses with $Δm \simeq 1$ GeV.
