In this paper, we describe holomorphic quantizations of the cotangent bundle of a symmetric space of compact type $T^*(U/K)\cong U_\mathbb{C}/K_\mathbb{C}$, along Mabuchi rays of $U$-invariant Kähler structures. At infinite geodesic time, the Kähler polarizations converge to a mixed polarization $\mathcal{P}_\infty$. We show how a generalized coherent state transform relates the quantizations along the Mabuchi geodesics such that holomorphic sections converge, as geodesic time goes to infinity, to distributional $\mathcal{P}_\infty$-polarized sections. Unlike in the case of $T^*U$, the gCST map** from the Hilbert space of vertically polarized sections are not asymptotically unitary due to the appearance of representation dependent factors associated to the isotypical decomposition for the $U$-action. In agreement with the general program outlined in [Bai+23], we also describe how the quantization in the limit polarization $\mathcal{P}_\infty$ is given by the direct sum of the quantizations for all the symplectic reductions relative to the invariant torus action associated to the Hamiltonian action of $U$.

We extend this result to classical locally symmetric spaces of negative curvature with convex-cocompact fundamental group using results of Bunke and Olbrich. The method of proof forces us to exclude the spectral parameters corresponding to singular Poisson transforms.

For a finite graph, we establish natural isomorphisms between eigenspaces of a Laplace operator acting on functions on the edges and eigenspaces of a transfer operator acting on functions on one-sided infinite non-backtracking paths. Interpreting the transfer operator as a classical dynamical system and the Laplace operator as its quantization, this result can be viewed as a quantum-classical correspondence. In contrast to previously established quantum-classical correspondences for the vertex Laplacian which exclude certain exceptional spectral parameters, our correspondence is valid for all parameters. This allows us to relate certain spectral quantities to topological properties of the graph such as the cyclomatic number and the 2-colorability. The quantum-classical correspondence for the edge Laplacian is induced by an edge Poisson transform on the universal covering of the graph which is a tree of bounded degree. In the special case of regular trees, we relate both the vertex and the edge Poisson transform to the representation theory of the automorphism group of the tree and study associated operator valued Hecke algebras.

We compare the spectral properties of two kinds of linear operators characterizing the (classical) geodesic flow and its quantization on connected locally finite graphs without dead ends. The first kind are transfer operators acting on vector spaces associated with the set of non backtracking paths in the graphs. The second kind of operators are averaging operators acting on vector spaces associated with the space of vertices of the graph. The choice of vector spaces reflects regularity properties. Our main results are correspondences between classical and quantum spectral objects as well as some automatic regularity properties for eigenfunctions of transfer operators.

The disruptive application of ChatGPT (GPT-3.5, GPT-4) to a variety of domains has become a topic of much discussion in the scientific community and society at large. Large Language Models (LLMs), e.g., BERT, Bard, Generative Pre-trained Transformers (GPTs), LLaMA, etc., have the ability to take instructions, or prompts, from users and generate answers and solutions based on very large volumes of text-based training data. This paper assesses the impact and potential impact of ChatGPT on the field of digital forensics, specifically looking at its latest pre-trained LLM, GPT-4. A series of experiments are conducted to assess its capability across several digital forensic use cases including artefact understanding, evidence searching, code generation, anomaly detection, incident response, and education. Across these topics, its strengths and risks are outlined and a number of general conclusions are drawn. Overall this paper concludes that while there are some potential low-risk applications of ChatGPT within digital forensics, many are either unsuitable at present, since the evidence would need to be uploaded to the service, or they require sufficient knowledge of the topic being asked of the tool to identify incorrect assumptions, inaccuracies, and mistakes. However, to an appropriately knowledgeable user, it could act as a useful supporting tool in some circumstances.

We present a novel approach to half-form corrected geometric quantization in a specific type of non-Kähler polarizations and study one important class of examples, namely cotangent bundles of compact semi-simple groups $K$. Our main results state that this canonically defined polarization occurs in the geodesic boundary of the space of $K\times K$-invariant Kähler polarizations equipped with Mabuchi's metric, and that its half-form corrected quantization is isomorphic to the Kähler case. An important role is played by invariance of the limit polarization under a torus action.
Unitary parallel transport on the bundle of quantum states along a specific Mabuchi geodesic, given by the coherent state transform of Hall, relates the non-commutative Fourier transform for $K$ with the Borel--Weil description of irreducible representations of $K$.

In this paper we complete the program of relating the Laplace spectrum for rank one compact locally symmetric spaces with the first band Ruelle-Pollicott resonances of the geodesic flow on its sphere bundle. This program was started by Flaminio and Forni for hyperbolic surfaces, continued by Dyatlov, Faure and Guillarmou for real hyperbolic spaces and by Guillarmou, Hilgert and Weich for general rank one spaces. Except for the case of hyperbolic surfaces a countable set of exceptional spectral parameters always left untreated since the corresponding Poisson transforms are neither injective nor surjective. We use vector valued Poisson transforms to treat also the exceptional spectral parameters. For surfaces the exceptional spectral parameters lead to discrete series representations of $\mathrm{SL}(2,\mathbb R)$. In higher dimensions the situation is more complicated, but can be described completely.

The joint resonant states at $0$ give rise to some new measures of SRB type and the mixing properties of these measures are related to the existence of purely imaginary resonances. The spectral theory developed in this article applies in particular to the case of Weyl chamber flows and provides a new way to study such flows.

We show that the strongly symmetric spectral convex compact sets are precisely the normalized state spaces of finite-dimensional simple Euclidean Jordan algebras and the simplices. Spectrality is the property that every state has a convex decomposition into perfectly distinguishable pure states; strong symmetry is transitivity, for each integer N, of the affine automorphism group of the state space on lists of N perfectly distinguishable pure states. Additional assumptions combine with this theorem to give simple characterizations of finite-dimensional complex quantum state space.
Important aspects of quantum and classical thermodynamics and of query complexity have been generalized to classes of general probabilistic theories (GPTs) satisfying natural postulates including or implying spectrality and strong symmetry; our result shows that these apply to a narrower class of theories than might have been hoped. Sorkin's notion of irreducibly k-th order interference has been studied in the GPT framework and looked for in experiments. Our result shows that the assumption of no higher-order (k > 2) interference, used along with spectrality and strong symmetry to characterize the same class of Jordan-algebraic convex sets by Barnum, Mueller, and Ududec in arXiv:1403.4147, was superfluous. It also implies that Lee and Selby's extension, on the assumption that interference has fixed maximal degree k, of the important order square root of N lower bound on the quantum black-box query complexity of searching N possibilities for one having a desired property (which is achieved by Grover's quantum algorithm), to a class of theories satisfying certain postulates allowing the formulation of a generalized notion of query algorithm, actually applies in the Jordan-algebraic setting where higher-order interference is not possible.

From this, we derive that the poles of the corresponding meromorphic continuations agree in a half-plane, and the residues correspond to each other under the boundary value map, so in particular the multiplicities agree as well. In the opposite half-plane, which is the square root of the resolvent set, the resolvent has no poles, whereas the scattering poles agree with the poles of the standard Knapp--Stein intertwiner. In the spirit of recent work of Harada-Kaveh and Nishinou-Nohara-Ueda, we study the symplectic geometry of Popov's horospherical degenerations of complex algebraic varieties with the action of a complex linearly reductive group. We formulate an intrinsic symplectic contraction of a Hamiltonian space, which is a surjective, continuous map onto a new Hamiltonian space that is a symplectomorphism on an explicitly defined dense open subspace. This map is given by a precise formula, using techniques from the theory of symplectic reduction and symplectic implosion. We then show, using the Vinberg monoid, that the gradient-Hamiltonian flow for a horospherical degeneration of an algebraic variety gives rise to this contraction from a general fiber to the special fiber. We apply this construction to branching problems in representation theory, and finally we show how the Gel'fand-Tsetlin integrable system can be understood to arise this way.

We introduce a wide category of superspaces, called locally finitely generated, which properly includes supermanifolds but enjoys much stronger permanence properties, as are prompted by applications. Namely, it is closed under taking finite fibre products (i.e. is finitely complete) and thickenings by spectra of Weil superalgebras. Nevertheless, in this category, morphisms with values in a supermanifold are still given in terms of coordinates. This framework gives a natural notion of relative supermanifolds over a locally finitely generated base. Moreover, the existence of inner homs, whose source is the spectrum of a Weil superalgebra, is established; they are generalisations of the Weil functors defined for smooth manifolds.

Here K is a maximal compact subgroup of G, and g_C=k_C+p_C is a complexified Cartan decomposition. In this realization the space of k-finite vectors consists of holomorphic polynomials on X. The reproducing kernel of the Fock space is calculated explicitly in terms of an I-Bessel function. We further find an explicit formula of a generalized Segal-Bargmann transform which intertwines the Schroedinger and Fock model. Its kernel involves the same I-Bessel function. Using the Segal--Bargmann transform we also determine the integral kernel of the unitary inversion operator in the Schroedinger model which is given by a J-Bessel function.

We construct an L^2-model of "very small" irreducible unitary representations of simple Lie groups G which, up to finite covering, occur as conformal groups Co(V) of simple Jordan algebras V. If $V$ is split and G is not of type A_n, then the representations are minimal in the sense that the annihilators are the Joseph ideals. Our construction allows the case where G does not admit minimal representations. In particular, applying to Jordan algebras of split rank one we obtain the entire complementary series representations of SO(n,1)_0. A distinguished feature of these representations in all cases is that they attain the minimum of the Gelfand--Kirillov dimensions among irreducible unitary representations. Our construction provides a unified way to realize the irreducible unitary representations of the Lie groups in question as Schroedinger models in L^2-spaces on Lagrangian submanifolds of the minimal real nilpotent coadjoint orbits. In this realization the Lie algebra representations are given explicitly by differential operators of order at most two, and the key new ingredient is a systematic use of specific second-order differential operators (Bessel operators) which are naturally defined in terms of the Jordan structure.

We investigate the Berezin integral of non-compactly supported quantities. In the framework of supermanifolds with corners, we give a general, explicit and coordinate-free repesentation of the boundary terms introduced by an arbitrary change of variables. As a corollary, a general Stokes's theorem is derived - here, the boundary integral contains transversal derivatives of arbitrarily high order.

Using an $h$-\psdiff\ calculus on $\XG$, we define and study lifted quantum limits as weak$^*$-limit points of Wigner distributions. The Helgason boundary values of the eigenfunctions allow us to construct Patterson--Sullivan distributions on the space of Weyl chambers. These distributions are asymptotic to lifted quantum limits and satisfy additional invariance properties, which makes them useful in the context of quantum ergodicity. Our results generalize results for compact hyperbolic surfaces obtained by Anantharaman and Zelditch.

To that end, we express this line bundle as a G-equivariant associated bundle of the principal H-bundle G over G/H. We also study the fibre integration of Berezinians on oriented fibre bundles. As an application, we prove a formula of `Fubini' type: the invariant integral over G can be expressed (up to sign) by a succesive invariant integration over H and G/H. Moreover, we derive analogues of integral formulae for the transformation under local isomorphisms of unimodular homogeneous superspaces G/H and S/T, and under the products of subsupergroups of Lie supergroups. The classical counterparts of these formulae have numerous applications in harmonic analysis.

We establish various recurrence relations and integral representations for our polynomials, as well as a closed formula for the $L^2$-norm. Further we show that they are uniquely determined as polynomial eigenfunctions.

This fourth order differential operator $\mathcal{D}_{μ,ν}$ arises as the radial part of the Casimir action in the Schrödinger model of the minimal representation of the group $O(p,q)$, and our "special functions" give $K$-finite vectors.

In particular, our theorem applies to the case of a symmetric superpair of group type, i.e. (k+k,k) with the flip involution where k is a classical Lie superalgebra with a non-degenerate invariant even form (equivalently, a finite-dimensional contragredient Lie superalgebra). Thus, we obtain a new proof of the generalisation of Chevalley's restriction theorem due to Sergeev and Kac, Gorelik.
For general symmetric superpairs, the invariants exhibit a new and surprising behaviour. We illustrate this phenomenon by a detailed discussion in the example g=C(q+1)=osp(2|2q,C), endowed with a special involution. In this case, the invariant algebra defines a singular algebraic curve.

Robbin and Salamon showed that attractor-repellor networks and Lyapunov maps are equivalent concepts and illustrate this with the example of linear flows on projective spaces. In these examples the fixed points are linearly ordered with respect to the Smale order which makes the attractor-repellor network overly simple. In this paper we provide a class of examples in which the attractor-repellor network and its lattice structure can be explicitly determined even though the Smale order is not total. They are associated with special flows on complex flag manifolds. In the process we show that the Smale order on the set of fixed points can be identified with the well-known Bruhat order. This could also be derived from results of Kazhdan and Lusztig, but we give a new proof using the Lambda-Lemma of Palis. For the convenience of the reader we also introduce the flag manifolds via elementary dynamical systems using only a minimum of Lie theory.

In this article we report on a surprising relation between the transfer operators for the congruence subgroups $Γ_{0}(n)$ and the Hecke operators on the space of period functions for the modular group $\PSL (2,\mathbb{Z})$. For this we study special eigenfunctions of the transfer operators with eigenvalues $\mp 1$, which are also solutions of the Lewis equations for the groups $Γ_{0}(n)$ and which are determined by eigenfunctions of the transfer operator for the modular group $\PSL (2,\mathbb{Z})$. In the language of the Atkin-Lehner theory of old and new forms one should hence call them old eigenfunctions or old solutions of Lewis equation. It turns out that the sum of the components of these old solutions for the group $Γ_{0}(n)$ determine for any $n$ a solution of the Lewis equation for the modular group and hence also an eigenfunction of the transfer operator for this group.

The Kac-Baker model describes a 1-dim. classical lattice spin system with exponentially fast decaying two body interaction. The model was introduced by M. Kac and G. Baker to investigate the phenomenon of phase transition in systems with weak long-range interactions like van der Waals gas. Ruelle's dynamical zeta function for this model can be expressed in terms of Fredholm determinants of two transfer operators and hence is a meromorphic function. One of the two operators, found by M. Kac, is an integral operator with symmetric kernel acting in the Hilbert space of square integrable functions on the line. The other one is Ruelle's transfer operator acting in some Banach space of holomorphic observables of the system. In this paper we show how the Kac operator can be explicitly related basically through the Segal-Bargmann transform to the Ruelle operator restricted to a certain Segal-Bargmann space of entire functions in the complex plane. This allows us to show that Ruelle's zeta function for the Kac-Baker model has infinitely many "non-trivial" zeros on the real axis. In a special case we can show the existence of also infinitely many "trivial" zeros on the line Re s = ln 2 in the complex s-plane. Hence some kind of Riemann hypothesis seems to hold for this dynamical zeta function.
