This document describes the development of a video game prototype designed to encourage physical activity among children and older adults. The prototype consists of a laptop, a camera with 3D sensors, and optionally requires an LCD screen or a projector. The programming component of this prototype was developed in Scratch, a programming language geared towards children, which greatly facilitates the creation of a game tailored to the users' preferences. The idea to create such a prototype originated from the desire to offer an option that promotes physical activity among children and adults, given that a lack of physical exercise is a predominant factor in the development of chronic degenerative diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, to name the most common. As a result of this initiative, an active video game prototype was successfully developed, based on a **-pong game, which allows both children and adults to interact in a fun way while encouraging the performance of physical activities that can positively impact the users' health.

Abstract:
Let $G=(V(G),E(G))$ be a simple graph with vertex set $V(G)$ and edge set $E(G)$. Let $S$ be a subset of $V(G)$, and let $B(S)$ be the set of neighbours of $S$ in $V(G) \setminus S$. The differential $\partial(S)$ of $S$ is defined as $|B(S)|-|S|$. The maximum value of $\partial(S)$ taken over all subsets $S\subseteq V$ is the differential $\partial(G)$ of $G$. A graph operator is a map** $F: G\rightarrow G'$, where $G$ and $G'$ are families of graphs. The graph $§{G}$ is defined as the graph obtained from $G$ con bipartición de vértices $V(G)\cup E(G)$, donde hay tantas aristas entre $v \in V(G)$ y $e \in E(G)$, como veces $e$ sea incidente con $v$ en $G$. In this paper we study the relationship between $\partial(G)$ and $\partial(§{G})$. Besides, we relate the differential of a graph with known parameters of a graph, namely, its domination and independence number.

Abstract:
Let $\G(V,E)$ be a simple graph without loops nor multiple edges. A nonempty subset $S \subseteq V$ is said a {\em global offensive alliance} if every vertex $v \in V- S$ satisfies that $\d_S(v) \geq \d_{\overline{S}}(v)+1$. The {\em global offensive alliance number} $\g^o(Γ)$ is defined as the minimum cardinality among all global offensive alliances. Let $R$ be a finite commutative ring with iden…

We demonstrate efficient pulse-energy extraction from a partly-quenched erbium-doped aluminosilicate fiber amplifier. This has a high erbium-concentration, which allows for short devices with reduced nonlinear distortions, but which also results in partial quenching and thus significant unsaturable absorption, even though the fiber is still able to amplify. Although the quenching degrades the average-power efficiency, the pulse energy remains high, and our results point to an increasingly promising outcome for short pulses. Furthermore, unlike unquenched fibers, the conversion efficiency improves at low repetition rates, which we attribute to smaller relative energy loss to quenched ions at higher pulse energy. A short (2.6 m) cladding-pumped partly-quenched Er-doped-fiber with 95-dB/m 1530-nm peak absorption and saturation energy estimated to 85 μJ, reached 0.8 mJ of output energy when seeded by 0.2-μs, 23-μJ pulses. Thus, according to our results, pulses can be amplified to high energy in short highly-Er-doped fibers designed to reduce nonlinear distortions, at the expense of average-power efficiency

Graphene is an ideal material for fabricating atomically thin nanometre spaced electrodes. Recently, carbon-based nanoelectrodes have been employed to create single-molecule transistors and phase change memory devices. In spite of the significant recent interest in their use in a range of nanoscale devices from phase change memories to molecular electronics, the operating and scaling limits of these electrodes are completely unknown. In this paper, we report on our observations of consistent voltage driven resistance switching in sub-5 nm graphene nanogaps. We find that we are able to reversibly cycle between a low and a high resistance state using feedback-controlled voltage ramps. We attribute this unexplained switching in the gap to the formation and breakdown of carbon filaments.By increasing the gap, we find that such intrinsic resistance switching of graphene nanogaps imposes a scaling limit of 10 nm (approx.) on the gap-size for devices with operating voltages of 1 to 2 volts.
