The latter are specifically of great interest from both physical and mathematical points of view since they allow the speeds of propagation to be time-dependent ones. However, we assume in this work that both waves are propagating with the same speeds. Employing this fact together with other hypotheses on the aforementioned parameters (mass and dam** coefficients), we obtain a new blow-up region for the system under consideration, and we show a lifespan estimate of the maximal existence time.

Under appropriate initial data which are compactly supported, by using a test function method and taking into account the effect of the dam** term ($\fracμ{\sqrt{1+|x|^2}}u_t$), we provide that in higher dimensions the blow-up region is given by $p \in (1, p_G(N+μ)]$ where $p_G(N)$ is the Glassey exponent. Furthermore, we shall establish a blow-up region, independent of $μ$ given by $p\in (1, 1+\frac{2}{N}),$ for appropriate initial data in the energy space with noncompact support.

Faces and their expressions are one of the potent subjects for digital images. Detecting emotions from images is an ancient task in the field of computer vision; however, performing its reverse -- synthesizing facial expressions from images -- is quite new. Such operations of regenerating images with different facial expressions, or altering an existing expression in an image require the Generative Adversarial Network (GAN). In this paper, we aim to change the facial expression in an image using GAN, where the input image with an initial expression (i.e., happy) is altered to a different expression (i.e., disgusted) for the same person. We used StarGAN techniques on a modified version of the MUG dataset to accomplish this objective. Moreover, we extended our work further by remodeling facial expressions in an image indicated by the emotion from a given text. As a result, we applied a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) method to extract emotion from the text and forwarded it to our expression-altering module. As a demonstration of our working pipeline, we also create an application prototype of a blog that regenerates the profile picture with different expressions based on the user's textual emotion.

We consider in this paper a class of strongly perturbed semilinear wave equations with a non-characteristic point in one space dimension, for general initial data. Working in the framework of similarity variables, in \cite {MZ} Merle and Zaag constructed an explicit stationary solution of the unperturbed problem and proved an exponential convergence to this family of solutions. If we follow the same strategy under our strongly perturbed equation we just obtain a polynomial convergence which is a rough estimate compared to the one obtained in the unperturbed problem. In order to refine this approximation, we constructed an implicit solution to the perturbed problem which approaches the stationary solutions of the unperturbed problem and we prove the exponential convergence to this prescribed blow-up profile.

The latter case constitutes, in fact, a shift of the dimension $N$ by $\fracμ{1+m}$ compared to the problem without dam** and mass. Finally, we think that the new bound for $p$ is a serious candidate to the critical exponent which characterizes the threshold between the blow-up and the global existence regions.

Then, using this estimate and the logarithmic property, we prove that the exact blow-up rate of any singular solution of (1) is given by the ODE solution associated with (1), namely $u' =|u|^{p-1}u\log^a (2+u^2)$. In other terms, all blow-up solutions in the Sobolev subcritical range are Type I solutions. Up to our knowledge, this is the first determination of the blow-up rate for a semilinear heat equation where the main nonlinear term is not homogeneous.

We show in the present work that the competition between the two nonlinearities still yields a new blow region for the Tricomi equation $(Tr)$ with $m\ge0$, and we derive an estimate of the lifespan in terms of the Tricomi parameter $m$. As an application of the method developed for the study of the equation $(Tr)$ we obtain with a different approach the same blow-up result as in \cite{Lai2020} when we consider only one time-derivative nonlinearity, namely we keep only $|u_t|^p$ in the right-hand side of $(Tr)$.

Furthermore, using in part the computations done for $(E)$, we enhance the result in \cite{Palmieri} on the Glassey conjecture for the solution of $(E)$ with omitting the nonlinear term $|u|^q$. Indeed, the blow-up region is extended from $p \in (1, p_G(N+σ)]$, where $σ$ is given by (1.12) below, to $p \in (1, p_G(N+μ)]$ yielding, hence, a better estimate of the lifespan when $(μ-1)^2-4ν^2<1$. Otherwise, the two results coincide. Finally, we may conclude that the mass term {\it has no influence} on the dynamics of $(E)$ (resp. $(E)$ without the nonlinear term $|u|^q$), and the conjecture we made in \cite{Our2} on the threshold between the blow-up and the global existence regions obtained holds true here.

Indeed, owing to a better understanding of the influence of the dam** term in the global dynamics of the solution, we think that this new interval for $μ$ describe better the threshold between the blow-up and the global existence regions. Moreover, taking advantage of the techniques employed in the problem $(E)$, we also improve the result in \cite{LT2,Palmieri} in relationship with the Glassey conjecture for the solution of $(E)$ but without the nonlinear term $|u|^q$. More precisely, we extend the blow-up region from $p \in (1, p_G(N+σ)]$, where $σ$ is given by \eqref{sigma} below, to $p \in (1, p_G(N+μ)]$ giving thus a better estimate of the lifespan in this case.

We construct a finite-time blow-up solution for a class of strongly perturbed semilinear wave equation with an isolated characteristic point in one space dimension. Given any integer $k\ge 2$ and $ζ_0 \in \mathbb{R}$, we construct a blow-up solution with a characteristic point $a$, such that the asymptotic behavior of the solution near $(a,T(a))$ shows a decoupled sum of $k$ solitons with alternate signs, whose centers (in the hyperbolic geometry) have $ζ_0$ as a center of mass, for all times. Although the result is similar to the unperturbed case in its statement, our method is new. Indeed, our perturbed equation is not invariant under the Lorentz transform, and this requires new ideas. In fact, the main difficulty in this paper is to prescribe the center of mass $ζ_0 \in \mathbb{R}$. We would like to mention that our method is valid also in the unperturbed case, and simplifies the original proof by Côte and Zaag \cite{CZcpam13}, as far as the center of mass prescription is concerned.

Abstract:
We consider in this work some class of strongly perturbed for the semilinear wave equation with conformal power nonlinearity. We obtain an optimal estimate for a radial blow-up solution and we have also obtained two less stronger estimates. These results are achieved in three-steps argument by the construction of a Lyapunov functional in similarity variables and the Pohozaev identity.
