Observation of interface carrier states in no-common-atom heterostructures ZnSe/BeTe
Abstract: Existence of intrinsic carrier interface states in heterostructures with no common atom at the interface (such as ZnSe/BeTe) is evidenced experimentally by ellipsometry and photoluminescence spectroscopy. These states are located on interfaces and lie inside the effective band gap of the structure; they are characterized by a high density and high carrier capture rate. A tight binding model confir… ▽ More

Spin physics with light and heavy neutral mesons at Protvino
Abstract: PROZA-M experiment results as well the proposal of a new spin program with the use of a polarized proton beam are presented. Significant asymmetries were observed in inclusive $π^0$ production. The new program proposes to study a wealth of single- and double-spin observables in various reactions using longitudinally and transversely polarized proton beams at U70. The main goal is to define gluon… ▽ More

Observation of Spin Relaxation Anisotropy in Semiconductor Quantum Wells
Abstract: Spin relaxation of two-dimensional electrons in asymmetrical (001) AlGaAs quantum wells are measured by means of Hanle effect. Three different spin relaxation times for spins oriented along [110], [1-10] and [001] crystallographic directions are extracted demonstrating anisotropy of D'yakonov-Perel' spin relaxation mechanism. The relative strengths of Rashba and Dresselhaus terms describing the… ▽ More
