A test oracle serves as a criterion or mechanism to assess the correspondence between software output and the anticipated behavior for a given input set. In automated testing, black-box techniques, known for their non-intrusive nature in test oracle construction, are widely used, including notable methodologies like differential testing and metamorphic testing. Inspired by the mathematical concept of inverse function, we present Retromorphic Testing, a novel black-box testing methodology. It leverages an auxiliary program in conjunction with the program under test, which establishes a dual-program structure consisting of a forward program and a backward program. The input data is first processed by the forward program and then its program output is reversed to its original input format using the backward program. In particular, the auxiliary program can operate as either the forward or backward program, leading to different testing modes. The process concludes by examining the relationship between the initial input and the transformed output within the input domain. For example, to test the implementation of the sine function $\sin(x)$, we can employ its inverse function, $\arcsin(x)$, and validate the equation $x = \sin(\arcsin(x)+2kπ), \forall k \in \mathbb{Z}$. In addition to the high-level concept of Retromorphic Testing, this paper presents its three testing modes with illustrative use cases across diverse programs, including algorithms, traditional software, and AI applications.

Phonon-polaritons are electromagnetic waves resulting from the coherent coupling of photons with optical phonons in polar dielectrics. Due to their exceptional ability to confine electric fields to deep subwavelength scales with low loss, they are uniquely poised to enable a suite of applications beyond the reach of conventional photonics, such as sub-diffraction imaging and near-field energy transfer. The conventional approach to exciting phonon-polaritons through optical methods, however, necessitates costly mid-infrared and terahertz coherent light sources along with near-field scanning probes, and generally leads to low excitation efficiency due to the substantial momentum mismatch between phonon-polaritons and free-space photons. Here, we demonstrate that under proper conditions, phonon-polaritons can be excited all-electrically by flowing charge carriers. Specifically, in hexagonal boron nitride (hBN)/graphene heterostructures, by electrically driving charge carriers in ultra-high-mobility graphene out of equilibrium, we observe bright electroluminescence of hBN's hyperbolic phonon-polaritons (HPhPs) at mid-IR frequencies. The HPhP electroluminescence shows a temperature and carrier density dependence distinct from black-body or super-Planckian thermal emission. Moreover, the carrier density dependence of HPhP electroluminescence spectra reveals that HPhP electroluminescence can arise from both inter-band transition and intra-band Cherenkov radiation of charge carriers in graphene. The HPhP electroluminescence offers fundamentally new avenues for realizing electrically-pumped, tunable mid-IR and THz phonon-polariton lasers, and efficient cooling of electronic devices.

Three structures are observed in the line shape of the measured cross sections. A maximum-likelihood fit with $ψ(4040)$, two additional resonances, and a non-resonant component is performed. The mass and width of the first additional state are $(4219.7\pm2.5\pm4.5) \rm{MeV}/\rm{c}^2$ and $(80.7\pm4.4\pm1.4) \rm{MeV}$, respectively, consistent with the $ψ(4230)$. For the second state, the mass and width are $(4386\pm13\pm17) \rm{MeV}/\rm{c}^2$ and $(177\pm32\pm13) \rm{MeV}$, respectively, consistent with the $ψ(4360)$. The first uncertainties are statistical and the second ones are systematic. The statistical significance of $ψ(4040)$ is $8.0σ$ and those for $ψ(4230)$ and $ψ(4360)$ are more than $10.0σ$.

The $Σ^{+}$ hyperons are produced by the collisions of $Λ$ hyperons from $J/ψ$ decays with nuclei in the material of the BESIII detector. The total cross section of $Λ+ ^{9}{\rm Be} \rightarrow Σ^+ + X$ is measured to be $σ= (37.3 \pm 4.7 \pm 3.5)~{\rm mb}$ at $Λ$ beam momenta within $[1.057, 1.091]~{\rm GeV}/c$, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. Multi-modal Large Language Models (MLLMs) have shown remarkable capabilities in various multi-modal tasks. Nevertheless, their performance in fine-grained image understanding tasks is still limited. To address this issue, this paper proposes a new framework to enhance the fine-grained image understanding abilities of MLLMs. Specifically, we present a new method for constructing the instruction tuning dataset at a low cost by leveraging annotations in existing datasets. A self-consistent bootstrap** method is also introduced to extend existing dense object annotations into high-quality referring-expression-bounding-box pairs. These methods enable the generation of high-quality instruction data which includes a wide range of fundamental abilities essential for fine-grained image perception. Moreover, we argue that the visual encoder should be tuned during instruction tuning to mitigate the gap between full image perception and fine-grained image perception. Experimental results demonstrate the superior performance of our method. For instance, our model exhibits a 5.2% accuracy improvement over Qwen-VL on GQA and surpasses the accuracy of Kosmos-2 by 24.7% on RefCOCO_val. We have also attained the top rank on the leaderboard of MMBench. This promising performance is achieved by training on only publicly available data, making it easily reproducible. The models, datasets, and codes are publicly available at https://github.com/SY-Xuan/Pink.

Recently a dark matter-electron (DM-electron) paradigm has drawn much attention. Models beyond the standard halo model describing DM accelerated by high energy celestial bodies are under intense examination as well. In this Letter, a velocity components analysis (VCA) method dedicated to swift analysis of accelerated DM-electron interactions via semiconductor detectors is proposed and the first HPGe detector-based accelerated DM-electron analysis is realized. Utilizing the method, the first germanium based constraint on sub-GeV solar reflected DM-electron interaction is presented with the 205.4 kg$\cdot$day dataset from the CDEX-10 experiment. In the heavy mediator scenario, our result excels in the mass range of 5$-$15 keV/$c^2$, achieving a 3 orders of magnitude improvement comparing with previous semiconductor experiments. In the light mediator scenario, the strongest laboratory constraint for DM lighter than 0.1 MeV/$c^2$ is presented. The result proves the feasibility and demonstrates the vast potential of the VCA technique in future accelerated DM-electron analyses with semiconductor detectors.

In recent years, the explosion of web videos makes text-video retrieval increasingly essential and popular for video filtering, recommendation, and search. Text-video retrieval aims to rank relevant text/video higher than irrelevant ones. The core of this task is to precisely measure the cross-modal similarity between texts and videos. Recently, contrastive learning methods have shown promising results for text-video retrieval, most of which focus on the construction of positive and negative pairs to learn text and video representations. Nevertheless, they do not pay enough attention to hard negative pairs and lack the ability to model different levels of semantic similarity. To address these two issues, this paper improves contrastive learning using two novel techniques. First, to exploit hard examples for robust discriminative power, we propose a novel Dual-Modal Attention-Enhanced Module (DMAE) to mine hard negative pairs from textual and visual clues. By further introducing a Negative-aware InfoNCE (NegNCE) loss, we are able to adaptively identify all these hard negatives and explicitly highlight their impacts in the training loss. Second, our work argues that triplet samples can better model fine-grained semantic similarity compared to pairwise samples. We thereby present a new Triplet Partial Margin Contrastive Learning (TPM-CL) module to construct partial order triplet samples by automatically generating fine-grained hard negatives for matched text-video pairs. The proposed TPM-CL designs an adaptive token masking strategy with cross-modal interaction to model subtle semantic differences. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the proposed approach outperforms existing methods on four widely-used text-video retrieval datasets, including MSR-VTT, MSVD, DiDeMo and ActivityNet.

Using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, we observe an anomalous energy gap, an order of magnitude smaller than the antiferromagnetic gap, in a wide range of the underdoped regime and smoothly connecting to the superconducting gap at optimal do**. After carefully considering all the known ordering tendencies in tandem with the phase diagram, we hypothesize that the normal state gap in the underdoped n-type cuprates originates from Cooper pairing. The high temperature scale of the normal state gap raises the prospect of engineering higher transition temperatures in the n-type cuprates comparable to that of the p-type cuprates.

Large Language Models (LLMs) excel in various tasks, but they rely on carefully crafted prompts that often demand substantial human effort. To automate this process, in this paper, we propose a novel framework for discrete prompt optimization, called EvoPrompt, which borrows the idea of evolutionary algorithms (EAs) as they exhibit good performance and fast convergence. To enable EAs to work on discrete prompts, which are natural language expressions that need to be coherent and human-readable, we connect LLMs with EAs. This approach allows us to simultaneously leverage the powerful language processing capabilities of LLMs and the efficient optimization performance of EAs. Specifically, abstaining from any gradients or parameters, EvoPrompt starts from a population of prompts and iteratively generates new prompts with LLMs based on the evolutionary operators, improving the population based on the development set. We optimize prompts for both closed- and open-source LLMs including GPT-3.5 and Alpaca, on 31 datasets covering language understanding, generation tasks, as well as BIG-Bench Hard (BBH) tasks. EvoPrompt significantly outperforms human-engineered prompts and existing methods for automatic prompt generation (e.g., up to 25% on BBH). Furthermore, EvoPrompt demonstrates that connecting LLMs with EAs creates synergies, which could inspire further research on the combination of LLMs and conventional algorithms.

Code review is an essential activity for ensuring the quality and maintainability of software projects. However, it is a time-consuming and often error-prone task that can significantly impact the development process. Recently, ChatGPT, a cutting-edge language model, has demonstrated impressive performance in various natural language processing tasks, suggesting its potential to automate code review processes. However, it is still unclear how well ChatGPT performs in code review tasks. To fill this gap, in this paper, we conduct the first empirical study to understand the capabilities of ChatGPT in code review tasks, specifically focusing on automated code refinement based on given code reviews. To conduct the study, we select the existing benchmark CodeReview and construct a new code review dataset with high quality. We use CodeReviewer, a state-of-the-art code review tool, as a baseline for comparison with ChatGPT. Our results show that ChatGPT outperforms CodeReviewer in code refinement tasks. Specifically, our results show that ChatGPT achieves higher EM and BLEU scores of 22.78 and 76.44 respectively, while the state-of-the-art method achieves only 15.50 and 62.88 on a high-quality code review dataset. We further identify the root causes for ChatGPT's underperformance and propose several strategies to mitigate these challenges. Our study provides insights into the potential of ChatGPT in automating the code review process, and highlights the potential research directions.

In this work, with SP in the delay-Doppler (DD) domain and the generalized complex exponential (GCE) basis expansion modeling (BEM) for channels, a message passing-based SP-DD iterative receiver is proposed, which drastically reduces the computational complexity while with marginal performance loss, compared to existing ones. To facilitate channel estimation (CE) in the proposed receiver, we design pilot signal to achieve pilot power concentration in the frequency domain, thereby develo** an SP-DD-D receiver that can effectively reduce the power of the pilot signal and almost no loss of CE accuracy. Extensive simulation results are provided to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed SP-DD-D receiver.

The axion is a hypothetical elementary particle that could solve the long-standing strong CP problem in particle physics and the dark matter mystery in the cosmos. Due to the stimulation of the ambient photons, the axion dark matter decay into photons is significantly enhanced so that its echo signal could be detected by terrestrial telescopes. As a pathfinder, we study the expected sensitivity of searching for the axion dark matter in the mass range between $0.41$ and $1.6μ\text{eV}$ with the 21 CentiMeter Array (21CMA). We aim to cover the whole 21CMA frequency range in two years by using a 1MW emitter. We find that the resulting sensitivity on the axion-photon coupling could surpass other existing limits by about one order of magnitude.

Environments play an important role in galaxy formation and evolution, particularly in regulating the content of neutral gas. However, current HI surveys have limitations in their depth, which prevents them from adequately studying low HI content galaxies in high-density regions. In this study, we address this issue by employing the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST) with extensive integration times to complement the relatively shallow Arecibo Legacy Fast Arecibo L-band Feed Array (ALFALFA) HI survey. This approach allows us to explore the gas content of dwarf galaxies across various environments. We observe a positive relationship between HI mass and stellar mass in dwarf galaxies, with a well-defined upper boundary for HI mass that holds true in both observations and simulations. Furthermore, we find a decrease in the HI-to-stellar mass ratio ($\rm M_{\rm HI}/M_*$) as the density of the environment increases, irrespective of whether it is determined by the proximity to the nearest group or the projected number density. Comparing our observations to simulations, we note a steeper slope in the relationship, indicating a gradual gas-strip** process in the observational data. Additionally, we find that the scaling relation between the $\rm M_{\rm HI}/M_*$ and optical properties can be improved by incorporating galaxy environments.

The absolute branching fraction of $Λ_{c}^{+}\to Σ^{-}K^{+}π^{+}$ is measured to be $(3.8\pm1.3_{\rm stat}\pm0.2_{\rm syst})\times 10^{-4}$ in a model-independent approach. This is the first observation of a Cabibbo-suppressed $Λ_{c}^{+}$ decay involving $Σ^-$ in the final state. The ratio of branching fractions between $Λ_{c}^{+}\to Σ^{-}K^{+}π^{+}$ and the Cabibbo-favored decay $Λ_{c}^{+}\to Σ^- π^+π^+$ is calculated to be $(0.4 \pm 0.1)s_{c}^{2}$, where $s_{c} \equiv \sinθ_c = 0.2248$ with $θ_c$ the Cabibbo mixing angle. This ratio significantly deviates from $1.0s_{c}^{2}$ and provides important information for the understanding of nonfactorization contributions in $Λ_{c}^{+}$ decays.

Ultrabroadband frequency combs coherently unite distant portions of the electromagnetic spectrum. They underpin discoveries in ultrafast science and serve as the building blocks of modern photonic technologies. Despite tremendous progress in integrated sources of frequency combs, achieving multi-octave operation on chip has remained elusive mainly because of the energy demand of typical spectral broadening processes. Here we break this barrier and demonstrate multi-octave frequency comb generation using an optical parametric oscillator (OPO) in nanophotonic lithium niobate with only femtojoules of pump energy. The energy-efficient and robust coherent spectral broadening occurs far above the oscillation threshold of the OPO and detuned from its linear synchrony with the pump. We show that the OPO can undergo a temporal self-cleaning mechanism by transitioning from an incoherent operation regime, which is typical for operation far above threshold, to an ultrabroad coherent regime, corresponding to the nonlinear phase compensating the OPO cavity detuning. Such a temporal self-cleaning mechanism and the subsequent multi-octave coherent spectrum has not been explored in previous OPO designs and features a relaxed requirement for the quality factor and relatively narrow spectral coverage of the cavity. We achieve orders of magnitude reduction in the energy requirement compared to the other techniques, confirm the coherence of the comb, and present a path towards more efficient and wider spectral broadening. Our results pave the way for ultrashort-pulse and ultrabroadband on-chip nonlinear photonic systems for numerous applications.

For the other charmonium(-like) states $ψ(4040)$, $ψ(4160)$, $Y(4230)$, $Y(4360)$, $ψ(4415)$, and $Y(4660)$, no significant signal of their decay to $Ξ^-\bar Ξ^+$ is found. For these states, upper limits of the products of the branching fraction and the electronic partial width at the 90% confidence level are provided.

One of the fundamental goals of particle physics is to gain microscopic understanding of the strong interaction. Electromagnetic form factors quantify the structure of hadrons in terms of charge and magnetization distributions. While the nucleon structure has been investigated extensively, data on hyperons is still scarce. It has recently been demonstrated that electron-positron annihilations into hyperon-antihyperon pairs provide a powerful tools to investigate their inner structure. We present a novel method useful for hyperon-antihyperon pairs of different types which exploits the cross section enhancement due to the vacuum polarization effect at the $J/ψ$ resonance. Using the 10 billion $J/ψ$ events collected with the BESIII detector, this allows a thorough determination of the hyperon structure . The result is essentially a precise snapshot of a $\barΛΣ^0$~($Λ\barΣ^0$) pair in the making, encoded in the form factor ratio and the phase. Their values are measured to be $R = 0.860\pm0.029({\rm stat.})\pm0.010({\rm syst.})$, $ΔΦ_1=(1.011\pm0.094({\rm stat.})\pm0.010({\rm syst.}))~\rm rad$ for $\barΛΣ^0$ and $ΔΦ_2=(2.128\pm0.094({\rm stat.})\pm0.010({\rm syst.}))~\rm rad$ for $Λ\barΣ^0$, respectively. Furthermore, charge-parity (CP) breaking is investigated for the first time in this reaction and found to be consistent with CP symmetry.

This paper comprises a thorough summary of the CDEX-50 dark matter experiment, including an investigation of potential background sources and the development of a background model. Based on the baseline model, the projected sensitivity of weakly interacting massive particle (WIMP) is also presented. The expected background level within the energy region of interest, set to 2--2.5 keVee, is $\sim$0.01 counts keVee$^{-1}$ kg$^{-1}$ day$^{-1}$. At 90\% confidence level, the expected sensitivity to spin-independent WIMP-nucleon couplings is estimated to reach a cross-section of 5.1 $\times$ 10$^{-45}$ cm$^{2}$ for a WIMP mass of 5 GeV/c$^{2}$ with an exposure objective of 150 kg$\cdot$year and an analysis threshold of 160 eVee. This science goal will correspond to the most sensitive results for WIMPs with a mass of 2.2--8 GeV/c$^{2}$.

Large language models (LLMs) show their powerful automatic reasoning and planning capability with a wealth of semantic knowledge about the human world. However, the grounding problem still hinders the applications of LLMs in the real-world environment. Existing studies try to fine-tune the LLM or utilize pre-defined behavior APIs to bridge the LLMs and the environment, which not only costs huge human efforts to customize for every single task but also weakens the generality strengths of LLMs. To autonomously ground the LLM onto the environment, we proposed the Self-Driven Grounding (SDG) framework to automatically and progressively ground the LLM with self-driven skill learning. SDG first employs the LLM to propose the hypothesis of sub-goals to achieve tasks and then verify the feasibility of the hypothesis via interacting with the underlying environment. Once verified, SDG can then learn generalized skills with the guidance of these successfully grounded subgoals. These skills can be further utilized to accomplish more complex tasks which fail to pass the verification phase. Verified in the famous instruction following task set-BabyAI, SDG achieves comparable performance in the most challenging tasks compared with imitation learning methods that cost millions of demonstrations, proving the effectiveness of learned skills and showing the feasibility and efficiency of our framework.

We first develop a novel signal model with a sparse system transfer matrix using an inverse discrete Fourier transform (DFT) operation, which leads to the formulation of a structured block sparse signal recovery problem with a sparse sensing matrix. This enables the development of a low complexity message passing based Bayesian algorithm with a factor graph representation. Simulation results demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed method.

The $K^{+}J/ψ$ system is also investigated to search for charged charmoniumlike states, but no significant $Z_{cs}^+$ states are observed. Upper limits on the Born cross sections for $e^+e^-\to K^{-} Z_{cs}(3985)^{+}/K^{-} Z_{cs}(4000)^{+} + c.c.$ with $Z_{cs}(3985)^{\pm}/Z_{cs}(4000)^{\pm}\to K^{\pm} J/ψ$ are reported at 90\% confidence levels. The ratio of branching fractions $\frac{\mathcal{B}(Z_{cs}(3985)^{+}\to K^+ J/ψ)}{\mathcal{B}(Z_{cs}(3985)^{+}\to (\bar{D}^{0}D_s^{*+} + \bar{D}^{*0}D_s^+))}$ is measured to be less than 0.03 at 90\% confidence level.

Several state-of-arts work has demonstates its high accuracy and real-time interaction capbilities. However, most of the studies employ EEGs devices that are rigid and difficult to apply in real-life AR glasseses application sceniraros. Here we develop a consumer-tier Visual-Brain Machine Inteface(V-BMI) system specialized for Augmented Reality(AR) glasses interactions. Approach. The developed system consists of a wearable hardware which takes advantages of fast set-up, reliable recording and comfortable wearable experience that specificized for AR glasses applications. Complementing this hardware, we have devised a software framework that facilitates real-time interactions within the system while accommodating a modular configuration to enhance scalability. Main results. The developed hardware is only 110g and 120x85x23 mm, which with 1 Tohm and peak to peak voltage is less than 1.5 uV, and a V-BMI based angry bird game and an Internet of Thing (IoT) AR applications are deisgned, we demonstrated such technology merits of intuitive experience and efficiency interaction. The real-time interaction accuracy is between 85 and 96 percentages in a commercial AR glasses (DTI is 2.24s and ITR 65 bits-min ). Significance. Our study indicates the developed system can provide an essential hardware-software framework for consumer based V-BMI AR glasses. Also, we derive several pivotal design factors for a consumer-grade V-BMI-based AR system: 1) Dynamic adaptation of stimulation patterns-classification methods via computer vision algorithms is necessary for AR glasses applications; and 2) Algorithmic localization to foster system stability and latency reduction.

BACKGROUND & AIMS: Histological remission (HR) is advocated and considered as a new therapeutic target in ulcerative colitis (UC). Diagnosis of histologic remission currently relies on biopsy; during this process, patients are at risk for bleeding, infection, and post-biopsy fibrosis. In addition, histologic response scoring is complex and time-consuming, and there is heterogeneity among pathologists. Endocytoscopy (EC) is a novel ultra-high magnification endoscopic technique that can provide excellent in vivo assessment of glands. Based on the EC technique, we propose a neural network model that can assess histological disease activity in UC using EC images to address the above issues. The experiment results demonstrate that the proposed method can assist patients in precise treatment and prognostic assessment.
METHODS: We construct a neural network model for UC evaluation. A total of 5105 images of 154 intestinal segments from 87 patients undergoing EC treatment at a center in China between March 2022 and March 2023 are scored according to the Geboes score. Subsequently, 103 intestinal segments are used as the training set, 16 intestinal segments are used as the validation set for neural network training, and the remaining 35 intestinal segments are used as the test set to measure the model performance together with the validation set.
RESULTS: By treating HR as a negative category and histologic activity as a positive category, the proposed neural network model can achieve an accuracy of 0.9, a specificity of 0.95, a sensitivity of 0.75, and an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.81.
CONCLUSION: We develop a specific neural network model that can distinguish histologic remission/activity in EC images of UC, which helps to accelerate clinical histological diagnosis.

$\mathcal{R}=\mathcal{B}[χ_{c1}(3872) \rightarrowπ^{+}π^{-}η]/\mathcal{B}[χ_{c1}(3872) \rightarrow π^{+}π^{-} J/ψ] < 0.12$ is given.
These measurements provide important inputs for understanding the internal structure of the $χ_{c1}(3872)$ resonance.

Gamma rays from HESS J1849$-$000, a middle-aged TeV pulsar wind nebula (PWN), are observed by the Tibet air shower array and the muon detector array. The detection significance of gamma rays reaches $4.0\, σ$ and $4.4\, σ$ levels above 25 TeV and 100 TeV, respectively, in units of Gaussian standard deviation $σ$. The energy spectrum measured between $40\, {\rm TeV} < E < 320\, {\rm TeV}$ for the first time is described with a simple power-law function of ${\rm d}N/{\rm d}E = (2.86 \pm 1.44) \times 10^{-16}(E/40\, {\rm TeV})^{-2.24 \pm 0.41}\, {\rm TeV}^{-1}\, {\rm cm}^{-2}\, {\rm s}^{-1}$. The gamma-ray energy spectrum from the sub-TeV ($E < 1\, {\rm TeV}$) to sub-PeV ($100\, {\rm TeV} < E < 1\, {\rm PeV}$) ranges including the results of previous studies can be modeled with the leptonic scenario, inverse Compton scattering by high-energy electrons accelerated by the PWN of PSR J1849$-$0001. On the other hand, the gamma-ray energy spectrum can also be modeled with the hadronic scenario in which gamma rays are generated from the decay of neutral pions produced by collisions between accelerated cosmic-ray protons and the ambient molecular cloud found in the gamma-ray emitting region. The cutoff energy of cosmic-ray protons $E_{\rm p\, cut}$, cut is estimated at ${\rm log}_{10}(E_{\rm p,\, cut}/{\rm TeV}) = 3.73^{+2.98}_{-0.66}$, suggesting that protons are accelerated up to the PeV energy range. Our study thus proposes that HESS J1849$-$000 should be further investigated as a new candidate for a Galactic PeV cosmic-ray accelerator, PeVatron.

This work presents, for the first time, the energy spectrum of gamma rays beyond $100\, {\rm TeV}$ from the HESS J1843$-$033 region using the data recorded by the Tibet air shower array and its underground muon detector array. A gamma-ray source with an extension of $0.34^{\circ} \pm 0.12^{\circ}$ is successfully detected above $25\, {\rm TeV}$ at $(α,\, δ) = (281.09^{\circ}\pm 0.10^{\circ},\, -3.76^{\circ}\pm 0.09^{\circ})$ near HESS J1843$-$033 with a statistical significance of $6.2\, σ$, and the source is named TASG J1844$-$038. The position of TASG J1844$-$038 is consistent with those of HESS J1843$-$033, eHWC J1842$-$035, and LHAASO J1843$-$0338. The measured gamma-ray energy spectrum in $25\, {\rm TeV} < E < 130\, {\rm TeV}$ is described with ${\rm d}N/{\rm d}E = (9.70\pm 1.89)\times 10^{-16} (E/40\, {\rm TeV})^{-3.26\pm 0.30}\, {\rm TeV}^{-1} {\rm cm}^{-2} {\rm s}^{-1}$, and the spectral fit to the combined spectra of HESS J1843$-$033, LHAASO J1843$-$0338, and TASG J1844$-$038 implies the existence of a cutoff at $49.5\pm 9.0\, {\rm TeV}$. Associations of TASG J1844-038 with SNR G28.6$-$0.1 and PSR J1844-0346 are also discussed in detail for the first time.

Motivated by the superior performance of image diffusion models, more and more researchers strive to extend these models to the text-based video editing task. Nevertheless, current video editing tasks mainly suffer from the dilemma between the high fine-tuning cost and the limited generation capacity. Compared with images, we conjecture that videos necessitate more constraints to preserve the temporal consistency during editing. Towards this end, we propose EVE, a robust and efficient zero-shot video editing method. Under the guidance of depth maps and temporal consistency constraints, EVE derives satisfactory video editing results with an affordable computational and time cost. Moreover, recognizing the absence of a publicly available video editing dataset for fair comparisons, we construct a new benchmark ZVE-50 dataset. Through comprehensive experimentation, we validate that EVE could achieve a satisfactory trade-off between performance and efficiency. We will release our dataset and codebase to facilitate future researchers.

Weakly-supervised action localization aims to recognize and localize action instancese in untrimmed videos with only video-level labels. Most existing models rely on multiple instance learning(MIL), where the predictions of unlabeled instances are supervised by classifying labeled bags. The MIL-based methods are relatively well studied with cogent performance achieved on classification but not on localization. Generally, they locate temporal regions by the video-level classification but overlook the temporal variations of feature semantics. To address this problem, we propose a novel attention-based hierarchically-structured latent model to learn the temporal variations of feature semantics. Specifically, our model entails two components, the first is an unsupervised change-points detection module that detects change-points by learning the latent representations of video features in a temporal hierarchy based on their rates of change, and the second is an attention-based classification model that selects the change-points of the foreground as the boundaries. To evaluate the effectiveness of our model, we conduct extensive experiments on two benchmark datasets, THUMOS-14 and ActivityNet-v1.3. The experiments show that our method outperforms current state-of-the-art methods, and even achieves comparable performance with fully-supervised methods.

This paper aims to tackle a novel task - Temporal Sentence Grounding in Streaming Videos (TSGSV). The goal of TSGSV is to evaluate the relevance between a video stream and a given sentence query. Unlike regular videos, streaming videos are acquired continuously from a particular source, and are always desired to be processed on-the-fly in many applications such as surveillance and live-stream analysis. Thus, TSGSV is challenging since it requires the model to infer without future frames and process long historical frames effectively, which is untouched in the early methods. To specifically address the above challenges, we propose two novel methods: (1) a TwinNet structure that enables the model to learn about upcoming events; and (2) a language-guided feature compressor that eliminates redundant visual frames and reinforces the frames that are relevant to the query. We conduct extensive experiments using ActivityNet Captions, TACoS, and MAD datasets. The results demonstrate the superiority of our proposed methods. A systematic ablation study also confirms their effectiveness.

\displaystyle \int_{\mathbb{R}^3} |u|^2dx=a^2,

Under general assumptions on the nonlinearity $f$, we prove the existence of $L^2$-normalized solutions for the above nonlinear Dirac equations by using perturbation methods in combination with Lyapunov-Schmidt reduction. We also show the multiplicity of these normalized solutions thanks to the multiplicity theorem of Ljusternik-Schnirelmann. Moreover, we obtain bifurcation results of this problem.

In contrast to hole-doped cuprates, electron-doped cuprates consistently exhibit strong antiferromagnetic correlations with a commensurate (π, π) ordering wave vector, leading to the prevalent belief that antiferromagnetic spin fluctuations mediate Cooper pairing in these unconventional superconductors. However, early investigations produced two paradoxical findings: while antiferromagnetic spin fluctuations create the largest pseudogap at "hot spots" in momentum space, Raman scattering and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy measurements using the leading-edge method seem to suggest the superconducting gap is also maximized at these locations. This presented a dilemma for spin-fluctuation-mediated pairing: Cooper pairing is strongest at momenta where normal state low energy spectral weight is most suppressed. Here we investigate this dilemma in Nd2-xCexCuO4 using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy under significantly improved experimental conditions. The unprecedented signal-to-noise ratio and resolution allow us to directly observe the Bogoliubov quasiparticles, demonstrating the existence and importance of two sectors of states: 1. The reconstructed main band and the states gapped by the antiferromagnetic pseudogap around the hot spots. 2. The gossamer Fermi surface states with distinct dispersion inside the pseudogap, from which Bogoliubov quasiparticle coherence peaks emerge below Tc. Supported by numerical results, we propose that the non-zero modulus of the antiferromagnetic order parameter causes the former, while fluctuations in the antiferromagnetic order parameter orientation are responsible for the latter. Our revelations of the gossamer Fermi surface reconcile the paradoxical observations, deepening our understanding of superconductivity in electron-doped cuprates in particular, and unconventional superconductivity in general.

As Facial Recognition System(FRS) is widely applied in areas such as access control and mobile payments due to its convenience and high accuracy. The security of facial recognition is also highly regarded. The Face anti-spoofing system(FAS) for face recognition is an important component used to enhance the security of face recognition systems. Traditional FAS used images containing identity information to detect spoofing traces, however there is a risk of privacy leakage during the transmission and storage of these images. Besides, the encryption and decryption of these privacy-sensitive data takes too long compared to inference time by FAS model. To address the above issues, we propose a face anti-spoofing algorithm based on facial skin patches leveraging pure facial skin patch images as input, which contain no privacy information, no encryption or decryption is needed for these images. We conduct experiments on several public datasets, the results prove that our algorithm has demonstrated superiority in both accuracy and speed.

Additionally, facial skin images offer the advantages of easy collection and minimal privacy concerns. However, the availability of well-labeled human skin datasets with a sufficient number of images is limited. To address this issue, we introduce a dataset called FaceSkin, which encompasses a diverse range of ages and races. Furthermore, to broaden the application scenarios, we incorporate synthetic skin-patches obtained from 2D and 3D attack images, including printed paper, replays, and 3D masks. We evaluate the FaceSkin dataset across distinct categories and present experimental results demonstrating its effectiveness in attribute classification, as well as its potential for various downstream tasks, such as Face anti-spoofing and Age estimation.

A non-zero Born cross section is observed at the center-of-mass energy of 2.3094 GeV with a statistical significance of more than five standard deviations, and the cross sections at other energies are obtained with improved precision compared to earlier measurements from the BaBar Collaboration. The Born cross-section lineshape is described better by a shape with a plateau near the threshold than by a pQCD motivated functional form.

Using synthesized images to boost the performance of perception models is a long-standing research challenge in computer vision. It becomes more eminent in visual-centric autonomous driving systems with multi-view cameras as some long-tail scenarios can never be collected. Guided by the BEV segmentation layouts, the existing generative networks seem to synthesize photo-realistic street-view images when evaluated solely on scene-level metrics. However, once zoom-in, they usually fail to produce accurate foreground and background details such as heading. To this end, we propose a two-stage generative method, dubbed BEVControl, that can generate accurate foreground and background contents. In contrast to segmentation-like input, it also supports sketch style input, which is more flexible for humans to edit. In addition, we propose a comprehensive multi-level evaluation protocol to fairly compare the quality of the generated scene, foreground object, and background geometry. Our extensive experiments show that our BEVControl surpasses the state-of-the-art method, BEVGen, by a significant margin, from 5.89 to 26.80 on foreground segmentation mIoU. In addition, we show that using images generated by BEVControl to train the downstream perception model, it achieves on average 1.29 improvement in NDS score.

As an emerging communication auxiliary technology, reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) is expected to play a significant role in the upcoming 6G networks. Due to its total reflection characteristics, it is challenging to implement conventional channel estimation algorithms. This work focuses on RIS-assisted MIMO communications. Although many algorithms have been proposed to address this issue, there are still ample opportunities for improvement in terms of estimation accuracy, complexity, and applicability. To fully exploit the structured sparsity of the multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) channels, we propose a new channel estimation algorithm called unitary approximate message passing sparse Bayesian learning with partial common support identification (UAMPSBL-PCI). Thanks to the mechanism of PCI and the use of UAMP, the proposed algorithm has a lower complexity while delivering enhanced performance relative to existing channel estimation algorithms. Extensive simulations demonstrate its excellent performance in various environments.

This paper presents a CLIP-based unsupervised learning method for annotation-free multi-label image classification, including three stages: initialization, training, and inference. At the initialization stage, we take full advantage of the powerful CLIP model and propose a novel approach to extend CLIP for multi-label predictions based on global-local image-text similarity aggregation. To be more specific, we split each image into snippets and leverage CLIP to generate the similarity vector for the whole image (global) as well as each snippet (local). Then a similarity aggregator is introduced to leverage the global and local similarity vectors. Using the aggregated similarity scores as the initial pseudo labels at the training stage, we propose an optimization framework to train the parameters of the classification network and refine pseudo labels for unobserved labels. During inference, only the classification network is used to predict the labels of the input image. Extensive experiments show that our method outperforms state-of-the-art unsupervised methods on MS-COCO, PASCAL VOC 2007, PASCAL VOC 2012, and NUS datasets and even achieves comparable results to weakly supervised classification methods.

Based on data samples collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, the process $e^{+}e^{-} \to Σ^{+}\barΣ^{-}$ is studied at center-of-mass energies $\sqrt{s}$ = 2.3960, 2.6454, and 2.9000 GeV. Using a fully differential angular description of the final state particles, both the relative magnitude and phase information of the $Σ^{+}$ electromagnetic form factors in the timelike region are extracted. The relative phase between the electric and magnetic form factors is determined to be $\sinΔΦ$ = -0.67~$\pm$~0.29~(stat)~$\pm$~0.18~(syst) at $\sqrt{s}$ = 2.3960 GeV, $ΔΦ$ = 55$^{\circ}$~$\pm$~19$^{\circ}$~(stat) $\pm$~14$^{\circ}$~(syst) at $\sqrt{s}$ = 2.6454 GeV, and 78$^{\circ}$~$\pm$~22$^{\circ}$~(stat) $\pm$~9$^{\circ}$~(syst) at $\sqrt{s}$ = 2.9000 GeV. For the first time, the phase of the hyperon electromagnetic form factors is explored in a wide range of four-momentum transfer. The evolution of the phase along with four-momentum transfer is an important input for understanding its asymptotic behavior and the dynamics of baryons.
