A new concept of a multi-valued associative memory is introduced, generalizing a similar one in fuzzy neural networks. We expand the results on fuzzy associative memory with thresholds, to the case of a multi-valued one: we introduce the novel concept of such a network without numbers, investigate its properties, and give a learning algorithm in the multi-valued case. We discovered conditions under which it is possible to store given pairs of network variable patterns in such a multi-valued associative memory. In the multi-valued neural network, all variables are not numbers, but elements or subsets of a lattice, i.e., they are all only partially-ordered. Lattice operations are used to build the network output by inputs. In this paper, the lattice is assumed to be Brouwer and determines the implication used, together with other lattice operations, to determine the neural network output. We gave the example of the network use to classify aircraft/spacecraft trajectories.

It turned out that in the VEPP-2000 energy region $1.7-2.0$ GeV $σ(e^+e^-\to a_2(f_2)γ)\sim 10$ pb, and $σ(e^+e^-\to a_0(f_0)γ)\sim 0.1$ pb.
Photon angle distribution and the spin density matrices of $a_2$ and $f_2$ were calculated also.

The pressure dependence of the Curie temperature T$_{C}(P)$ in La$_{0.75}$Ca$_{0.25}$MnO$_{3}$ was determined by neutron diffraction up to 8 GPa, and compared with the metallization temperature T$_{IM}(P)$ \cite{irprl}. The behavior of the two temperatures appears similar over the whole pressure range suggesting a key role of magnetic double exchange also in the pressure regime where the superexchange interaction is dominant. Coexistence of antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic peaks at high pressure and low temperature indicates a phase separated regime which is well reproduced with a dynamical mean-field calculation for a simplified model. A new P-T phase diagram has been proposed on the basis of the whole set of experimental data.

We show that the probability that the process survives up to time $t$ decays as $t^{-α}$ at late times. We compute $α$ up to the second order in $ε$-expansion, where $ε=σ-d$, $σ$ is the Lévy exponent and $d$ is the spatial dimension. For $d=σ$, we find the exponent of the logarithmic decay exactly. Theoretical values of the exponents are confirmed by numerical simulations.

In many realistic processes, however, walks interact with a long ranged potential that decays in $d$ dimensions with distance $r$ as $r^{-d-σ}$. We employ methods of renormalized field theory to study the effect of such long range interactions. We calculate, for the first time, the exponents describing the decay of the survival probability for all values of parameters $σ$ and $d$ to first order in the double expansion in $ε=2-d$ and $δ=2-d-σ$. We show that there are several regions in the $σ-d$ plane corresponding to different scalings for survival and reunion probabilities. Furthermore, we calculate the leading logarithmic corrections for the first time.

This paper describes a system developed to help people explore local communities by providing navigation services in social spaces created by the community members via communication and knowledge sharing. The proposed system utilizes data of a community's social network to reconstruct the social space, which is otherwise not physically perceptible but imaginary, experiential, yet learnable. The social space is modeled with an agent network, where each agent stands for a member of the community and has knowledge about expertise and personal characteristics of some other members. An agent can gather information, using its social "connections", to find community members most suitable to communicate to in a specific situation defined by the system's user. The system then deploys its multimodal interface, which "maps" the social space onto a representation of the relevant physical space, to locate the potential interlocutors and advise the user on an efficient communication strategy for the given community.

Magnetic order persists under pressure but the ordered spin ice structure stabilized at ambient pressure below 1.3 K partly transforms into an antiferromagnetic one. The long range ordered moment at 0.06 K is reduced under pressure, which is interpreted by a pressure induced enhancement of the spin liquid fluctuations. Above the ordering transition, short range spin correlations are affected by pressure, and ferromagnetic correlations are suppressed. The influence of pressure on the ground state is discussed considering both isotropic and stress effects.

These solutions are defined on a product manifold R_{*} x M_1 x ... x M_n which contains n Ricci-flat spaces M_1, ..., M_n with 1-dimensional factor spaces R_{*} and M_1. They are determined up to a set of functions obeying non-linear differential equations equivalent to Toda-type equations with certain boundary conditions imposed. Exact solutions corresponding to configurations with two branes and intersections related to simple Lie algebras C_2 and G_2 are obtained. In these cases, the functions H_s(z), s =1,2, are polynomials of degrees (3, 4) and (6, 10), respectively, in agreement with a conjecture put forward previously in Ref., \cite{Iflux}. The S-brane solutions under consideration, for special choices of the parameters, may describe an accelerating expansion of our 3-dimensional space and a small enough variation of the effective gravitational constant.

We have studied Gd$_2$Mo$_2$O$_7$ located on the verge of the transition, by neutron diffraction on a $^{160}$Gd isotopic sample, $μ$SR and X ray diffraction using the synchrotron radiation. All measurements were done both at ambient and under applied pressure. At ambient pressure, a ferromagnetic state is observed below the Curie temperature (T$_{\rm C}$ = 70 K). The ordered magnetic moments at 1.7 K are parallel and equal to 5.7(5) $μ_{\rm B}$ and 0.8(2) $μ_{\rm B}$ for Gd and Mo, respectively. The relaxation rate measured by $μ$SR evidences strong spin fluctuations below T$_{\rm C}$ and down to the lowest temperature (6.6 K). A spin reorientation occurs in the range 20 K$<$T$<$T$_{\rm C}$. The ferromagnetic state is strongly unstable under pressure. T$_{\rm C}$ sharply decreases (down to 38 K at 1.3 GPa) and Bragg peaks start to coexist with mesoscopic ferromagnetic correlations. The ordered moments decrease under pressure. At 2.7 GPa long range magnetic order completely breaks down. In this spin glass state, Gd-Gd spin correlations remain ferromagnetic with a correlation length limited to the fourth neighbor, and Gd-Mo spin correlations turn to antiferromagnetic. The unique combination of three microscopic probes under pressure provides a detailed description of the magnetic transition, crucial for further theories.

Substitution of Tb for La expands the lattice and induces a change from a spin-glass like state ({\itshape x}=0) to a non collinear ferromagnet ({\itshape x}=0.2). In the ferromagnetic structure, the Tb moments orient close to their local anisotropy axis as for an ordered spin ice, while the Mo moments orient close to the net moment. The $μ$SR dynamical relaxation rate shows a cusp-like peak at the Curie temperature T$_C$ and a broad anomaly at T$^\star$$<$T$_C$, suggesting a second transition of local or dynamical nature. Under pressure, the long range order breaks down and a spin glass-like state is recovered. The whole set of data provide a microscopic picture of the spin correlations and fluctuations in the region of the ferromagnetic-spin glass threshold.

They exhibit quite abnormal -- and, in view of their chemical similarity, strikingly different -- magnetic behaviour, as probed by neutron diffraction at ambient and applied pressure. Tb$_2$Ti$_2$O$_7$ is a cooperative paramagnet (`spin liquid'), without long range order at ambient pressure; however, it does become ordered under pressure. By contrast, Tb$_2$Sn$_2$O$_7$ enters an "ordered spin ice" state already at ambient pressure. We analyse a simple model which already clearly exhibits some of the qualitative features observed experimentally. Overall, comparing these two compounds emphasizes the power of small perturbations in selecting low-temperature states in geometrically frustrated systems.

Below the transition towards short range magnetic order, static spin clusters coexist with fluctuating and alsmost uncorrelated spins. The magnetic response shows a complexe lineshape, connected with the presence of the magnetic inhomogeneities. Its analysis shows the existence of two different processes, relaxation and local excitations, for the spin fluctuations below the transition. The paramagnetic fluctuations are discussed in comparison with classical spin glasses, cluster glasses, and non Fermi liquid itinerant magnets.

Neutron diffraction experiments on TmTe at pressures up to 7 GPa are reported. The semiconductor-to-metal transition occurring at 2 GPa in this compound is accompanied by the appearance of strong ferromagnetic exchange interactions producing a Curie temperature as high as 14 K. This behavior is characteristic for the incipient mixed-valence regime just above the transition pressure and traced back to the release of a small concentration of free charge carriers in the material. The steep decrease of both the Curie temperature and ordered magnetic moment occurring at higher pressures emphasizes the role of Kondo fluctuations, and raises the interesting possibility that a quantum critical transition to a non-magnetic ground state of mixed-valence Tm might take place around 6 GPa.
