Extending the scope of the self-imaging phenomenon, traditionally associated with linear optics, to the domain of magnonics, this study presents the experimental demonstration and numerical analysis of spin-wave (SW) self-imaging in an in-plane magnetized yttrium iron garnet film. We explore this phenomenon using a setup in which a plane SW passes through a diffraction grating, and the resulting interference pattern is detected using Brillouin light scattering. We have varied the frequencies of the source dynamic magnetic field to discern the influence of the anisotropic dispersion relation and the caustic effect on the analyzed phenomenon. We found that at low frequencies and diffraction fields, the caustics determine the interference pattern. However, at large distances from the grating, when the waves of high diffraction order and number of slits contribute to the interference pattern, the self-imaging phenomenon and Talbot-like patterns are formed. This methodological approach not only sheds light on the behavior of SW interference under different conditions but also enhances our understanding of the SW self-imaging process in both isotropic and anisotropic media.

Magnetic multilayers of (Ir/Co/Pt)$_6$ with interfacial Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction (IDMI) were deposited by magnetron sputtering with Co thickness $d=1.8$ nm. Exploiting magneto-optical Kerr effect in longitudinal mode microscopy, magnetic force microscopy, and vibrating sample magnetometry, the magnetic field-driven evolution of domain structures and magnetization hysteresis loops have been studied. The existence of weak stripe domains structure was deduced -- tens micrometers size domains with in-plane "core" magnetization modulated by hundred of nanometers domains with out-of-plane magnetization. Micromagnetic simulations interpreted such magnetization distribution. Quantitative evaluation of IDMI was carried out using Brillouin light scattering (BLS) spectroscopy as the difference between Stokes and anti-Stokes peak frequencies $Δf$. Due to the additive nature of IDMI, the asymmetric combination of Ir and Pt covers led to large values of effective IDMI energy density $D_\mathrm{eff}$. It was found that Stokes and anti-Stokes frequencies as well as $Δf$, measured as a function of in-plane applied magnetic field, show hysteresis. These results are explained under the consideration of the influence of IDMI on the dynamics of the in-plane magnetized "core" with weak stripe domains.

We investigate experimentally and theoretically the magnetization reversal process in one-dimensional magnonic structures composed of permalloy nanowires of the two different widths and finite length arranged in a periodic and quasiperiodic order. The main features of the hysteresis loop are determined by different shape anisotropies of the component elements and the dipolar interactions between them. We showed, that the dipolar interactions between nanowires forming a ribbon can be controlled by change a distance between the neighboring ribbons. The quasiperiodic order can influence the hysteresis loop by introduction additional tiny switching steps when the dipolar interactions are sufficiently strong.

We describe synthesis of submicron Y3Fe5O12 (YIG) films sputtered on GaAs-based substrates and present results of the investigation of ferromagnetic resonance (FMR), spin wave propagation and interaction between spin excitations and 2D electrons in interface layer in YIG / AlOx / GaAs-heterostructures. It is found that the contribution of the relaxation process to the FMR linewidth is about 2 % of the linewidth ΔH. At the same time, for all samples FMR linewidths are high. Sputtered YIG films have magnetic inhomogeneity, which gives the main contribution to the FMR linewidth. Transistor structures with two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) channels in AlOx / GaAs interface governed by YIG-film spin excitations are designed. An effective influence of spin excitations on the current flowing through the GaAs 2DEG channel is observed. Light illumination results in essential changes in the FMR spectrum. It is found that an increase of the 2DEG current leads to an inverse effect, which represents essential changes in the FMR spectrum.

We have investigated theoretically (with micromagnetic simulations and plane wave method) and experimentally (with ferromagnetic resonance and Brillouin light scattering) three types of antidot lattices (ADLs) based on permalloy thin films with increased complexity of the unit cell: simple square, bi-component square and wave-like ADL. We have found that placing a small additional antidot in the center of the unit cell of the square ADL modify significantly the spin wave spectrum and its dependence on the orientation of the in-plane magnetic field. We also check the further changes of spin wave spectrum resulting from the introduction of air-gaps connecting small and large antidots. In particular, the presence of small antidots change the dependence of the frequency of the fundamental mode on the angle of the in-plane applied magnetic field. The air-gaps strongly discriminates the propagation of spin waves in two principal direction of ADL lattice, orthogonal to each other. In spite of these spectral changes, the spatial distribution of the spin wave amplitude generally preserves some similarities for all three structures. We also highlighted out the role of defects in the ADL in the observed spectra. The obtained results can be interesting for the magnonics applications of the magnonic crystals.

The magnonic band gaps of the two types of planar one-dimensional magnonic crystals comprised of the periodic array of the metallic stripes on yttrium iron garnet (YIG) film and YIG film with an array of grooves was analyzed experimentally and theoretically. In such periodic magnetic structures the propagating magnetostatic surface spin waves were excited and detected by microstripe transducers with vector network analyzer and by Brillouin light scattering spectroscopy. Properties of the magnonic band gaps were explained with the help of the finite element calculations. The important influence of the nonreciprocal properties of the spin wave dispersion induced by metallic stripes on the magnonic band gap width and its dependence on the external magnetic field has been shown. The usefulness of both types of the magnonic crystals for potential applications and possibility for miniaturization are discussed.
