The Spin Physics Detector collaboration proposes to install a universal detector in the second interaction point of the NICA collider under construction (JINR, Dubna) to study the spin structure of the proton and deuteron and other spin-related phenomena using a unique possibility to operate with polarized proton and deuteron beams at a collision energy up to 27 GeV and a luminosity up to $10^{32}$ cm$^{-2}$ s$^{-1}$. As the main goal, the experiment aims to provide access to the gluon TMD PDFs in the proton and deuteron, as well as the gluon transversity distribution and tensor PDFs in the deuteron, via the measurement of specific single and double spin asymmetries using different complementary probes such as charmonia, open charm, and prompt photon production processes. Other polarized and unpolarized physics is possible, especially at the first stage of NICA operation with reduced luminosity and collision energy of the proton and ion beams. This document is dedicated exclusively to technical issues of the SPD setup construction.

We present a study of the nearby low-metallicity dwarf galaxy IC 1613, focusing on the search for massive stars and related feedback processes, as well as for faint supernova remnants (SNR) in late stages of evolution. We obtained the deepest images of IC 1613 in the narrow-band Hα, He II and [S II] emission lines and new long-slit spectroscopy observations using several facilities (6-m BTA, 2.5m SAI MSU, and 150RTT telescopes), in combination with the multi-wavelength archival data from MUSE/VLT, VLA, XMM-Newton, and Swift/XRT. Our deep narrow-band photometry identifies several faint shells in the galaxy, and we further investigate their physical characteristics with the new long-slit spectroscopy observations and the archival multi-wavelength data. Based on energy balance calculations and assumptions about their possible nature, we propose that one of the shells is a possible remnant of a supernova explosion. We study five out of eight Wolf-Rayet (WR) star candidates previously published for this galaxy using the He ii emission line map**, MUSE/VLT archival spectra, and new long-slit spectra. Our analysis discards the considered WR candidates and finds no new ones. We found P Cyg profiles in Hα line in two stars, which we classify as Luminous Blue Variable (LBV) star candidates. Overall, the galaxy IC 1613 may have a lower rate of WR star formation than previously suggested.

We investigated the ionised and atomic gas kinematics and excitation state in the central region of ongoing star formation of the nearby low-metallicity dwarf galaxy Sextans B. The analysis is based on the new observations performed in Ha emission line with high resolution ($R \sim 16000$) scanning Fabry-Perot interferometer at the 6-m BTA SAO RAS telescope, and on the long-slit spectral observations at the 9.2-m SALT and 2.5-m CMO SAI MSU telescopes. Strong non-circular gas motions detected in the studied regions probably resulted from the off-plane gas motions and impact of stellar feedback. We identified six regions of elevated Ha velocity dispersion, five of which exhibit asymmetric or two-component Ha line profiles. Three of these regions are young ($<1.1$ Myr) expanding ($V_{\rm exp} \sim 25-50\ {\rm km\ s^{-1}}$) superbubbles. We argue that at least three regions in the galaxy could be supernova remnants. We conclude that supernovae feedback is the dominant source of energy for superbubbles in Sextans B, which is expected for such a low metallicity, although we cannot rule out a strong impact of pre-supernova feedback for one superbubble.

These discoveries are the first in a series of papers named the Migration and Evolution of giant ExoPlanets (MEEP) survey and are part of an ongoing effort to build a complete sample of hot Jupiters orbiting FGK stars, with a limiting Gaia $G$-band magnitude of 12.5. This effort aims to use homogeneous detection and analysis techniques to generate a set of precisely measured stellar and planetary properties that is ripe for statistical analysis. The nine planets presented in this work occupy a range of masses (0.55 Jupiter masses (M$_{\rm{J}}$) $<$ M$_{\rm{P}}$ $<$ 3.88 M$_{\rm{J}}$) and sizes (0.967 Jupiter radii (R$_{\rm{J}}$) $<$ R$_{\rm{P}}$ $<$ 1.438 R$_{\rm{J}}$) and orbit stars that range in temperature from 5360 K $<$ Teff $<$ 6860 K with Gaia $G$-band magnitudes ranging from 11.1 to 12.7. Two of the planets in our sample have detectable orbital eccentricity: TOI-3919 b ($e = 0.259^{+0.033}_{-0.036}$) and TOI-5301 b ($e = 0.33^{+0.11}_{-0.10}$). These eccentric planets join a growing sample of eccentric hot Jupiters that are consistent with high-eccentricity tidal migration, one of the three most prominent theories explaining hot Jupiter formation and evolution.

Feedback from massive stars shapes the ISM and affects the evolution of galaxies, but its mechanisms acting at the small scales ($\sim 10$ pc) are still not well constrained observationally, especially in the low-metallicity environments. We present the analysis of the ionized gas (focusing on its kinematics, which were never studied before), and its connection to the massive stars in the nearby ($D \sim 1.4$ Mpc) star-forming very metal-poor ($Z\sim 0.07 Z_\odot$) galaxy Sextans A. The analysis is based on the observations with a scanning Fabry-Perot interferometer, long-slit spectroscopy and imaging in emission lines with narrow-band tunable filters. We found 10 expanding superbubbles of ionized gas with ages of 1-3 Myr. We argue that 3 of them are probable supernovae remnants, while the pre-supernovae feedback is an important source of energy for blowing-out the remaining superbubbles. The two brightest sites of star formation exhibit signs of outflowing ionized gas, which is traced by its ionized and atomic gas kinematics and (in one case) by its emission line flux ratios. Overall, the ionized gas kinematics in Sextans A is highly affected by the feedback from several generations of massive stars and inconsistent with the mere solid-body rotation observed in atomic hydrogen.

We analyse the atomic and ionised gas kinematics (based on the observations with Fabry-Perot interferometer in H$α$ line and archival data in HI 21 cm line), distribution, excitation and oxygen abundance of the ionised gas (based on the long-slit and integral-field spectroscopy and on imaging with narrow-band filters), and their relation with the young massive stars (based on archival HST data). We detect a faint 2-kpc sized supershell of ionised gas surrounding the galaxy. Most probably, this structure represents a large-scale gas outflow, however it could be also created by the ionising quanta leaking from star-forming regions to the marginally detected atomic hydrogen surrounding the galactic disc. We analyse the properties of the anomalous HI in the north part of the galaxy and find that its peculiar kinematics is also traced by ionised gas. We argue that this HI feature is related to the accreting gas cloud captured from the intergalactic medium or remaining after the merger event occurred >1 Gyr ago. The infalling gas produces shocks in the interstellar medium and could support the star formation activity in the brightest region in DDO 53.

We present machine learning Random Forest-based models for probabilistic photo-z predictions based on information from 4 large photometric surveys (SDSS, Pan-STARRS, DESI Legacy Imaging Survey, and WISE). Our models are trained on the large sample of $\approx$580000 quasars and galaxies selected from the SDSS DR14 spectral catalog and take into account Galactic extinction and uncertainties in photometric measurements for target objects. On the Stripe82X test sample we obtained photo-z accuracy for X-ray sources: $NMAD=0.034$ (normalized median absolute deviation) and $n_{>0.15}=0.088$ (catastrophic outliers fraction), which is almost $\sim2$ times better than best photo-z results available in the literature.

Future galaxy surveys (e.g. EUCLID) will collect data about more than a $10^9$ galaxies. To obtain morphological information one needs to involve people to mark up galaxy images, which requires either a considerable amount of money or a huge number of volunteers. We propose an effective semi-supervised approach for galaxy morphology classification task, based on active learning of adversarial autoencoder (AAE) model. For a binary classification problem (top level question of Galaxy Zoo 2 decision tree) we achieved accuracy 93.1% on the test part with only 0.86 millions markup actions, this model can easily scale up on any number of images. Our best model with additional markup achieves accuracy of 95.5%. To the best of our knowledge it is a first time AAE semi-supervised learning model used in astronomy.

Mostly forsaken, but revived after the emergence of all-dielectric nanophotonics, the Kerker effect can be observed in a variety of nanostructures from high-index constituents with strong electric and magnetic Mie resonances. Necessary requirement for the existence of a magnetic response limits the use of generally non-magnetic conventional plasmonic nanostructures for the Kerker effect. In spite of this, we demonstrate here for the first time the emergence of the lattice Kerker effect in regular plasmonic Al nanostructures. Collective lattice oscillations emerging from delicate interplay between Rayleigh anomalies and localized surface plasmon resonances both of electric and magnetic dipoles, and electric and magnetic quadrupoles result in suppression of the backscattering in a broad spectral range. Variation of geometrical parameters of Al arrays allows for tailoring lattice Kerker effect throughout UV and visible wavelength ranges, which is close to impossible to achieve using other plasmonic or all-dielectric materials. It is argued that our results set the ground for wide ramifications in the plasmonics and further application of the Kerker effect.

The mechanisms of coupling between the lattice modes of a two-dimensional (2D) array consisting of Al nanoparticles and the localized modes of individual Al nanoparticles have been studied in detail. The results have been obtained employing the finite-difference time-domain method (FDTD) and the generalized Mie theory. It was shown that interactions of single particles with 2D lattice modes significantly change the extinction spectra depending on the particle radius and the lattice period. The Rayleigh anomalies of higher orders contribute to formation of hybrid modes resulting in increase of the extinction efficiency in short wavelength range of the spectrum. It is shown that high intensity magnetic modes are excited in aluminum nanoparticles arrays. The patterns of spatial electromagnetic field distribution at the frequencies of hybrid modes have been studied. We note that comprehensive understanding the mode coupling mechanisms in arrays paves the way for engineering different types of modern photonic devices with controllable optical properties.

The interaction of non-monochromatic radiation with two types of arrays comprising both plasmonic and dielectric nanoparticles has been studied in detail. We have shown that dielectric nanoparticle arrays provide a complete selective reflection of an incident plane wave within a narrow spectral line of collective lattice resonance with a Q-factor of $10^3$ or larger, whereas plasmonic refractory TiN and chemically stable Au nanoparticle arrays demonstrated high-Q resonances with moderate reflectivity. The spectral position of these resonance lines is determined by the lattice period, as well as the size, shape and material composition of the particles. Moreover, the arrays, with fixed dimensional parameters make it possible to fine-tune the position of a selected resonant spectral line by tilting the array relative to the direction of the incident radiation. These effects provide possibilities for engineering of novel selective tunable optical high-Q filters in a wide range of wavelengths: from visible to middle IR. Several highly refractive dielectric nanoparticle materials with low absorption are proposed for various spectral ranges, such as LiNbO$_3$, TiO$_2$, GaAs, Si, and Ge.

According to the obtaining results partial probabilities of some of researched decays are large enough to be observed experimentally.

Abstract:
From the viewpoint of provability, we compare some Gentzen-type hypersequent calculi for first-order infinite-valued Łukasiewicz logic and for first-order rational Pavelka logic with each other and with Hájek's Hilbert-type calculi for these logics. The key aspect of our comparison is a density elimination proof for one of the hypersequent calculi considered.

We present a hypersequent calculus $\text{G}^3\textŁ\forall$ for first-order infinite-valued Łukasiewicz logic and for an extension of it, first-order rational Pavelka logic; the calculus is intended for bottom-up proof search. In $\text{G}^3\textŁ\forall$, there are no structural rules, all the rules are invertible, and designations of multisets of formulas are not repeated in any premise of the rules. The calculus $\text{G}^3\textŁ\forall$ proves any sentence that is provable in at least one of the previously known hypersequent calculi for the given logics. We study proof-theoretic properties of $\text{G}^3\textŁ\forall$ and thereby provide foundations for proof search algorithms.

The Kets, an ethnic group in the Yenisei River basin, Russia, are considered the last nomadic hunter-gatherers of Siberia, and Ket language has no transparent affiliation with any language family. We investigated connections between the Kets and Siberian and North American populations, with emphasis on the Mal'ta and Paleo-Eskimo ancient genomes using original data from 46 unrelated samples of Kets and 42 samples of their neighboring ethnic groups (Uralic-speaking Nganasans, Enets, and Selkups). We genotyped over 130,000 autosomal SNPs, determined mitochondrial and Y-chromosomal haplogroups, and performed high-coverage genome sequencing of two Ket individuals. We established that the Kets belong to the cluster of Siberian populations related to Paleo-Eskimos. Unlike other members of this cluster (Nganasans, Ulchi, Yukaghirs, and Evens), Kets and closely related Selkups have a high degree of Mal'ta ancestry. Implications of these findings for the linguistic hypothesis uniting Ket and Na-Dene languages into a language macrofamily are discussed.

This value exceedsmarkedly the average value of the transverse-momentumtransfer in the coherent dissociation of $^7$Li nuclei on track-emulsion nuclei ($166\pm5$ MeV/$c$). The recoil-proton transverse momentum was on average 98% of the total proton momentum. While the breakup of water jets can well be described by Rayleigh's linear theory, we find jet regimes for H_2 and N_2 which reveal deviations from this behavior. Thus, Rayleigh's theory is inappropriate for thin jets that exchange energy and/or mass with the surrounding medium. Moreover, at high evaporation rates, axial symmetry of the dynamics is lost. When the drops pass into vacuum, frozen pellets form due to surface evaporation. The narrow width of the pellet flux paves the way towards various industrial and scientific applications.

In the present paper, experimental observations of the multifragmentation processes of light relativistic nuclei carried out by means of emulsions are reviewed. Events of the type of "white" stars in which the dissociation of relativistic nuclei is not accompanied by the production of mesons and the target-nucleus fragments are considered.
A distinctive feature of the charge topology in the dissociation of the Ne, Mg, Si, and S nuclei is an almost total suppression of the binary splitting of nuclei to fragments with charges higher than 2. The growth of the nuclear fragmentation degree is revealed in an increase in the multiplicity of singly and doubly charged fragments with decreasing charge of the non-excited part of the fragmenting nucleus.
The processes of dissociation of stable Li, Be, B, C, N, and O isotopes to charged fragments were used to study special features of the formation of systems consisting of the lightest $α$, d, and t nuclei. Clustering in form of the $^3$He nucleus can be detected in "white" stars via the dissociation of neutron-deficient Be, B, C, and N isotopes.

Nuclei of $^7$Li were accelerated at the JINR Nuclotron. After the charge-exchange reaction involving these nuclei at an external target a second $^7$Be beam of energy 1.23A GeV was formed. This beam was used to expose photo-emulsion chambers. The mean free path for inelastic $^7$Be interactions in emulsion $λ$=14.0$\pm$0.8 cm coincides within the errors with those for $^6$Li and $^7$Li nuclei. More than 10% of the $^7$Be events are associated with the peripheral interactions in which the total charge of the relativistic fragments is equal to the charge of the $^7$Be and in which charged mesons are not produced. An unusual ratio of the isotopes is revealed in the composition of the doubly charged $^7$Be fragments: the number of $^3$He fragments is twice as large as that of $^4$He fragments. In 50% of peripheral interactions, a $^7$Be nucleus decays to two doubly charged fragments. The present paper gives the channels of the $^7$Be fragmentation to charged fragments. In 50% of events, the $^7$Be fragmentation proceeds only to charged fragments involving no emission of neutrons. Of them, the $^3$He+$^4$He channel dominates, the $^4$He+d+p and $^6$Li+pchannels constitute 10% each. Two events involving no emission of neutrons are registered in the 3-body $^3$He+t+p and $^3$He+d+d channels. The mean free path for the coherent dissociation of relativistic $^7$Be nuclei to $^3$He+$^4$He is 7$\pm$1 m. The particular features of the relativistic $^7$Be fragmentation in such peripheral interactions are explained by the $^3$He+$^4$He 2-cluster structure of the $^7$Be nucleus.

We have shown within the quasistatic approximation that the giant fluctuations of local electromagnetic field in random fractal aggregates of silver nanospheres are strongly correlated with a local anisotropy factor S which is defined in this paper. The latter is a purely geometrical parameter which characterizes the deviation of local environment of a given nanosphere in an aggregate from spherical symmetry. Therefore, it is possible to predict the sites with anomalously large local fields in an aggregate without explicitly solving the electromagnetic problem. We have also demonstrated that the average (over nanospheres) value of S does not depend noticeably on the fractal dimension D, except when D approaches the trivial limit D=3. In this case, as one can expect, the average local environment becomes spherically symmetrical and S approaches zero. This corresponds to the well-known fact that in trivial aggregates fluctuations of local electromagnetic fields are much weaker than in fractal aggregates. Thus, we find that, within the quasistatics, the large-scale geometry does not have a significant impact on local electromagnetic responses in nanoaggregates in a wide range of fractal dimensions. However, this prediction is expected to be not correct in aggregates which are sufficiently large for the intermediate- and radiation-zone interaction of individual nanospheres to become important.

The role of nonvalence, {\it e.g.} sea quarks and/or meson degrees of freedom in static and quasistatic baryon electroweak observables, is discussed within the phenomenological sum rule approach. The inclusion of nonvalence degrees of freedom in the analysis of baryon magnetic moments explains extremely strong violation of the standard SU(6) symmetry-based quark-model prediction for the magnetic moment ratio $R_{Σ/Λ}=(Σ^{+} + 2Σ^{-})/(-Λ) \simeq .23$, while the value $R_{Σ/Λ}(SU(6))= 1$ corresponds to the nonrelativistic quark model. We also obtain $F/D=.72$ for the quark-current-baryon coupling $SU(3)_{f}$ ratio. The implications for the "strangeness" magnetism of the nucleon and for weak axial-to-vector coupling constant relations measured in the lowest octet baryon $β$-decays are discussed. The latter shows up the possible role of the induced second-class form factor (the "weak- electricity", or pseudotensor form factor) in the extraction of the $(g_1/f_1)$-values from the hyperon's $β$-decay data.

The earlier suggested and developed idea of quark-hadron duality, underlying "bremsstrahlung-weighted" sum rules for total or polarized photon interaction cross sections, is applied to the description of excitation of light scalar mesons in gamma-gamma interactions. The emphasis is put on the discussion of a role of the scalar diquark cluster degrees of freedom in the radiative formation of light scalar mesons.

Abstract:
The use of emulsions for studying nuclear clustering in light nucleus fragmentation processes at energies higher than 1A GeV is discussed. New results on the topologies of relativistic Li-7 and B-10 nucleus fragmentation in peripheral interactions are given. A program of research of the cluster structure in stable and radioactive nuclei is suggested.

Quark-Hadron Duality in Photoabsorption Sum Rules and Two Photon Decays of Meson Resonances
Authors:

Abstract:
The idea of quark-hadron duality is developed and applied to integral sum rules for the photoexcitation of meson resonances. Some applications of the presented approach in the light and heavy quark sectors are made, and the role of the scalar diquark cluster degrees of freedom in the radiative formation of light scalar mesons is discussed.

The resulting photon energy spectrum extracted from $γ-γ$ coincidence events consists of a narrow peak at a photon energy of about 24 MeV and a relatively broad peak in the energy range of (50 - 70) MeV. The statistical significances for the narrow and broad peaks are 5.3$σ$ and 3.5$σ$, respectively. This behavior of the photon energy spectrum is interpreted as a signature of the exotic dibaryon resonance $d^\star_1$ with a mass of about 1956 MeV which is assumed to be formed in the radiative process $pp \to γd^\star_1$ followed by its electromagnetic decay via the $d^\star_1 \to pp γ$ mode. The experimental spectrum is compared with those obtained by means of Monte Carlo simulations.

Abstract:
Relativistic potential-type equations are proposed which approximately reproduce important features and constraints of field-theoretic models and can be useful tool in hadron spectroscopy. Within this approach, the Regge-trajectory parameters and some properties of hihger radial excitations in the light quark sector are discussed.

On Valence Gluons in Heavy Quarkonia
Authors:
S. B. Gerasimov
Abstract:
To include the explicit valence gluon degrees of freedom into spectroscopy of the lowest states of heavy quarkonia, we consider, within an adiabatic model, the properties of the lowest hybrid $\bar{Q}Qg$-mesons and estimate the effects of their mixing with low-lying vector $\bar{c}c$-charmonia. The perspectives of compatibility of the resulting picture with data are discussed.
