Galaxies that cause the strong gravitational lensing of background galaxies provide us crucial information about the distribution of matter around them. Traditional modelling methods that analyse such strong lenses are both time and resource consuming, require sophisticated lensing codes and modelling expertise. To study the large lens population expected from imaging surveys such as LSST, we need fast and automated analysis methods. In this work, we build and train a simple convolutional neural network with an aim to rapidly predict model parameters of gravitational lenses. We focus on the most important lens mass model parameters, namely, the Einstein radius, the axis ratio and the position angle of the major axis of the mass distribution. The network is trained on a variety of simulated data with an increasing degree of realism and shows satisfactory performance on simulated test data. The trained network is then applied to the real sample of galaxy-scale candidate lenses from the Subaru HSC, a precursor survey to LSST. Unlike the simulated lenses, we do not have the ground truth for the real lenses. Therefore, we have compared our predictions with those from YattaLens, a lens modelling pipeline. Additionally, we also compare the parameter predictions for 10 HSC lenses that were also studied by other conventional modelling methods. These comparisons show a fair quantitative agreement on the Einstein radius, although the axis ratio and the position angle from the network as well as the individual modelling methods, seem to have systematic uncertainties beyond the quoted errors.

Primordial black holes, which could have formed during the early Universe through overdensities in primordial density fluctuations during inflation, are potential candidates for dark matter. We explore the use of lensing parallax of Gamma ray bursts (GRBs), which results in different fluxes being observed from two different vantage points, in order to probe the abundance of primordial black holes in the unexplored window within the mass range $[10^{-15}-10^{-11}]M_\odot$. We derive the optical depth for the lensing of GRBs with a distribution of source properties and realistic detector sensitivities. We comment on the ability of the proposed Indian twin satellite mission Daksha in its low earth orbit to conduct this experiment. If the two Daksha satellites observe 10000 GRBs simultaneously and the entirety of dark matter is made up of $[10^{-15}-10^{-12}]M_\odot$ black holes, Daksha will detect non-zero lensing events with a probability ranging from 80 to 50 per cent at the bin edges, respectively. Non-detections will not conclusively rule out primordial black holes as dark matter in this mass range. However, we show that meaningful constraints can be obtained in such a case if the two satellites are separated by at least the Earth-Moon distance.

We present the science case for the proposed Daksha high energy transients mission. Daksha will comprise of two satellites covering the entire sky from 1~keV to $>1$~MeV. The primary objectives of the mission are to discover and characterize electromagnetic counterparts to gravitational wave source; and to study Gamma Ray Bursts (GRBs). Daksha is a versatile all-sky monitor that can address a wide variety of science cases. With its broadband spectral response, high sensitivity, and continuous all-sky coverage, it will discover fainter and rarer sources than any other existing or proposed mission. Daksha can make key strides in GRB research with polarization studies, prompt soft spectroscopy, and fine time-resolved spectral studies. Daksha will provide continuous monitoring of X-ray pulsars. It will detect magnetar outbursts and high energy counterparts to Fast Radio Bursts. Using Earth occultation to measure source fluxes, the two satellites together will obtain daily flux measurements of bright hard X-ray sources including active galactic nuclei, X-ray binaries, and slow transients like Novae. Correlation studies between the two satellites can be used to probe primordial black holes through lensing. Daksha will have a set of detectors continuously pointing towards the Sun, providing excellent hard X-ray monitoring data. Closer to home, the high sensitivity and time resolution of Daksha can be leveraged for the characterization of Terrestrial Gamma-ray Flashes.

Demand for energy has increased significantly across the globe due to increase in population and economic growth. Growth in energy demand poses serious threat to the environment since majority of the energy sources are non-renewable and based on fossil fuels, which leads to emission of harmful greenhouse gases. Organizations across the world are facing challenges in transitioning from fossil fuels-based sources to greener sources to reduce their carbon footprint. As a step towards achieving Net-Zero emission target, we present a scalable AI based solution that can be used by organizations to increase their overall renewable electricity share in total energy consumption. Our solution provides facilities with accurate energy demand forecast, recommendation for procurement of renewable electricity to optimize cost and carbon offset recommendations to compensate for Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. This solution has been used in production for more than a year for four facilities and has increased their renewable electricity share significantly.

In this renovating era of technology, human life has considerably changed like transport has been transformed from bull cart to aircraft, land line phones to 4G/5G cellular phones, CRT based T. V to LED T. V etc. Human being has perceived the huge revolution especially in the field of communication. We report on the simulation study of Microstrip patch antenna using Comsol Multiphysics 5.4 software. Transmitter, feed point, receiver, modulation are the several parameters which are most important during the fabrication of antenna. In this paper we explain the geometry, radiation patterns in E plane and H plane, scattering parameters, resonant frequency, bandwidth of microstrip patch antenna. In research field lot of work is done on antenna by many of the scientists but there is a challenge about the compactness of antenna. Microstrip patch antenna is much compact than other antennas and these types of antennas are used in our mobile. It attains the greater number of frequency bands, improved gain, better impedance matching and improved bandwidth. In this paper, frequency response of Microstrip Patch Antenna shows single band behaviour at frequency 1.575 GHz which gives improvement in reflection coefficient and wider bandwidth.
