A perturbative approach to the non-relativistic string spectrum
Abstract: In this letter we use a perturbative approach to find the spectrum of non-relativistic strings in the String Newton-Cartan (SNC) AdS$_5\times$S$^5$ spacetime. We perturb the bosonic sector of the action around a BMN-like folded string solution in light-cone gauge. We find strong evidence that the theory is described by a combination of massive and massless free fields in an anti-de Sitter backgrou… ▽ More

Constructing Non-Relativistic AdS$_5$/CFT$_4$ Holography
Abstract: We construct a new type of holographic correspondence between non-relativistic string theory in String Newton-Cartan AdS$_5\times$S$^5$ and Galilean Electrodynamics supplemented with 5 uncharged massless free scalar fields living on the 3+1 dimensional Penrose conformal boundary. In our derivation, we start with Maldacena's setting of a stack of $N$ coincident D3-branes and we show that the near-h… ▽ More

Jordan blocks and the Bethe ansatz III: Class 5 model and its symmetries
Abstract: We study the Hilbert space of the Class 5 model described in arXiv:1904.12005. Despite being integrable, neither its transfer matrix nor its Hamiltonian are diagonalisable, meaning that the usual Algebraic Bethe Ansatz does not provide the full Hilbert space. Instead, we make use of the symmetries of the model to construct the Jordan blocks of the transfer matrix. We also show that the Hamiltonian… ▽ More

Flowing from relativistic to non-relativistic string vacua in AdS$_5 \times$S$^5$
Abstract: We find the connection between relativistic and non-relativistic string vacua in AdS$_5 \times$S$^5$ in terms of a free parameter $c$ flow. First, we show that the famous relativistic BMN vacuum flows in the large $c$ parameter to an unphysical solution of the non-relativistic theory. Then, we consider the simplest non-relativistic vacuum, found in arXiv:2109.13240 (called BMN-like), and we identi… ▽ More

Infinite-dimensional R-matrices for the relativistic scattering of massless modes on $\boldsymbol{\mathrm{AdS}_2}$
Abstract: We construct infinite-dimensional R-matrices that generalise the relativistic scattering of massless modes with the same chirality on $\mathrm{AdS}_2$ near the Berestein-Maldacena-Nastase vacuum. We show that the infrared limit of the R-matrices reproduces finite-dimensional scattering of massless modes on $\mathrm{AdS}_2$, from which the R-matrices borrow modified braiding unitary. We also prove… ▽ More

Non-relativistic string monodromies
Abstract: Spectral curve methods proved to be powerful techniques in the context of relativistic integrable string theories, since they allow to derive the semiclassical spectrum from the minimal knowledge of a Lax pair and a classical string solution. In this paper we initiate the study of the spectral curve for non-relativistic strings in AdS$_5\times S^5$. First we show that for string solutions whose La… ▽ More

Extending the non-relativistic string AdS coset
Abstract: Inspired by Lie algebra expansion, we consider an extension of the algebra introduced in arXiv:2203.07386 for the non-relativistic string coset action in AdS$_5\times$S$^5$. We show that the extended algebra admits a non-degenerate inner product which is adjoint invariant under the full extended algebra. Furthermore, we provide a finite-dimensional representation of the extended algebra.

Semiclassical spectrum of a Jordanian deformation of $AdS_5 \times S^5$
Abstract: We study a Jordanian deformation of the $AdS_5 \times S^5$ superstring that preserves 12 superisometries. It is an example of homogeneous Yang-Baxter deformations, a class that generalises TsT deformations to the non-abelian case. Many of the attractive features of TsT carry over to this more general class, from the possibility of generating new supergravity solutions to the preservation of worlds… ▽ More

Jordan blocks and the Bethe ansatz II: The eclectic spin chain beyond $K=1$
Abstract: We continue the classification of the Jordan chains of the eclectic three state spin chain that we started in our previous article. Following the same steps, we construct the generalised eigenvectors of this spin chain by computing the strongly twisted limit of linear combinations of eigenvectors of a twisted XXX $SU(3)$ spin chain. We show that this classification problem can be mapped to the com… ▽ More

Jordan blocks and the Bethe ansatz I: The eclectic spin chain as a limit
Abstract: We present a procedure to extract the generalised eigenvectors of a non-diagonalisable matrix by considering a diagonalisable perturbation of it and computing the non-diagonalisable limit of its eigenvectors. As an example of this process, we compute a subset of the spectrum of the eclectic spin chain by means of the Nested Coordinate Bethe Ansatz. This allows us to show that the Bethe Ansatz of t… ▽ More

Classical string solutions in Non-Relativistic AdS$_5\times$S$^5$: Closed and Twisted sectors
Abstract: We find classical closed string solutions to the non-relativistic AdS$_5\times$S$^5$ string theory which are the analogue of the BMN and GKP solutions for the relativistic theory. We show that non-relativistic AdS$_5\times$S$^5$ string theory admits a $\mathbb{Z}_2$ orbifold symmetry which allows us to impose twisted boundary conditions. Among the solutions in the twisted sector, we find the one a… ▽ More

Abstract: In this article we construct the effective field theory associated to the $\mathbb{R}\times S^3$ sector of the three-parameter deformation of $AdS_3 \times S^3 \times T^4$ in the Landau-Lifshitz approximation. We use this action to compute the dispersion relation of excitations around the BMN vacuum and the perturbative $S$-matrix associated to them. We are able to compute and sum all the differen… ▽ More

Light-Cone Gauge in Non-Relativistic AdS$_5\times$S$^5$ String Theory
Abstract: We discuss the non-relativistic limit of string theory in AdS$_5\times$S$^5$ for different choices of embedding coordinates. We show that, if we consider Cartesian coordinates, the action of fluctuations around the twisted BMN-like string found in arXiv:2109.13240 in uniform light-cone gauge becomes the one of free fields at large string tension and large AdS$_5$ radius.

Boosts superalgebras based on centrally-extended su(1|1)^2
Abstract: In this paper, we studied the boost operator in the setting of su(1|1)^2. We find a family of different algebras where such an operator can consistently appear, which we classify according to how the two copies of the su(1|1)^2 interact with each other. Finally, we construct coproduct maps for each of these algebras and discuss the algebraic relationships among them.

Boost generator in AdS_3 integrable superstrings for general braiding
Abstract: In this paper we find a host of boost operators for a very general choice of coproducts in AdS_3-inspired scattering theories, focusing on the massless sector, with and without an added trigonometric deformation.
