Homonym Sense Disambiguation in the Georgian Language
Abstract: This research proposes a novel approach to the Word Sense Disambiguation (WSD) task in the Georgian language, based on supervised fine-tuning of a pre-trained Large Language Model (LLM) on a dataset formed by filtering the Georgian Common Crawls corpus. The dataset is used to train a classifier for words with multiple senses. Additionally, we present experimental results of using LSTM for WSD. Acc… ▽ More

Approximation of Discs by Octagons on Pixel-Plane via Jaccards Proximity Criterion: Theoretical Approach and Experimental Results Analysis
Abstract: In the present paper we study approximation of discs by octagons on the pixel plane. To decide which octagon approximates better the given disc we use Jaccard's distance. The table of Jaccard's distances (calculated by a software created for these purposes) are presented at the end of the paper. The results for proximity are given in the form of a graph. Some properties of considered octagons are… ▽ More

On the notion of a basis of a finite dimensional vector space
Abstract: In this Note we show that the notion of a basis of a finite-dimensional vector space could be introduced by an argument much weaker than Gauss' reduction method. Our aim is to give a short proof of a simply formulated lemma, which in fact is equivalent to the theorem on frame extension, using only a simple notion of the kernel of a linear map**, without any reference to special results, and deri… ▽ More

Affine hom-complexes
Abstract: For two general polytopal complexes the set of face-wise affine maps between them is shown to be a polytopal complex in an algorithmic way. The resulting algorithm for the affine hom-complex is analyzed in detail. There is also a natural tensor product of polytopal complexes, which is the left adjoint functor for Hom. This extends the corresponding facts from single polytopes, systematic study of… ▽ More

New Invariants for the Graph Isomorphism Problem
Abstract: In this paper we introduce a novel polynomial-time algorithm to compute graph invariants based on the modified random walk idea on graphs. However not proved to be a full graph invariant by now, our method gives the right answer for the graph instances other well-known methods could not compute (such as special Furer Gadgets and point-line incidence graphs of finite projective planes of higher deg… ▽ More

Numerical comparison of different algorithms for construction of wavelet matrices
Abstract: Factorization of compact wavelet matrices into primitive ones has been known for more than 20 years. This method makes it possible to generate wavelet matrix coefficients and also to specify them by their first row. Recently, a new parametrization of compact wavelet matrices of the same order and degree has been introduced by the last author. This method also enables us to fulfill the above mentio… ▽ More

An approximation of Daubechies wavelet matrices by perfect reconstruction filter banks with rational coefficients
Abstract: It is described how the coefficients of Daubechies wavelet matrices can be approximated by rational numbers in such a way that the perfect reconstruction property of the filter bank be preserved exactly

Algorithms for Low-Dimensional Topology
Abstract: In this article, we re-introduce the so called "Arkaden-Faden-Lage" (AFL for short) representation of knots in 3 dimensional space introduced by Kurt Reidemeister and show how it can be used to develop efficient algorithms to compute some important topological knot structures. In particular, we introduce an efficient algorithm to calculate holonomic representation of knots introduced by V. Vassili… ▽ More
