Space-like asymptotics of the thermal two-point functions of the XXZ spin-1/2 chain
Abstract: This work proposes a closed formula for the leading term of the long-distance and large-time asymptotics in a cone of the space-like regime for the transverse dynamical two-point functions of the XXZ spin 1/2 chain at finite temperatures. The result follows from a simple analysis of the thermal form factor series for dynamical correlation functions. The leading asymptotics we obtain are driven by… ▽ More

Bethe Ansatz
Abstract: The term Bethe Ansatz stands for a multitude of methods in the theory of integrable models in statistical mechanics and quantum field theory that were designed to study the spectra, the thermodynamic properties and the correlation functions of these models non-perturbatively. Thermal form-factor expansion of the dynamical two-point functions of local operators in integrable quantum chains

Low-temperature spectrum of the quantum transfer matrix of the XXZ chain in the massless regime
Abstract: The free energy per lattice site of a quantum spin chain in the thermodynamic limit is determined by a single `dominant' Eigenvalue of an associated quantum transfer matrix in the infinite Trotter number limit. Chiral basis for qubits and spin-helix decay

Abstract: We explore short-distance static correlation functions in the infinite XXZ chain using previously derived formulae which represent the correlation functions in factorized form. We compute two-point functions ranging over 2, 3 and 4 lattice sites as functions of the temperature and the magnetic field in the massive regime $Δ>1$, extending our previous results to the full parameter plane of the an… ▽ More

On the physical part of the factorized correlation functions of the XXZ chain
Abstract: It was recently shown by Jimbo, Miwa and Smirnov that the correlation functions of a generalized XXZ chain associated with an inhomogeneous six-vertex model with disorder parameter $α$ and with arbitrary inhomogeneities on the horizontal lines factorize and can all be expressed in terms of only two functions $ρ$ and $ω$. Here we approach the description of the same correlation functions and, in… ▽ More

Short-distance thermal correlations in the XXZ chain
Abstract: Recent studies have revealed much of the mathematical structure of the static correlation functions of the XXZ chain. Here we use the results of those studies in order to work out explicit examples of short-distance correlation functions in the infinite chain. We compute two-point functions ranging over 2, 3 and 4 lattice sites as functions of the temperature and the magnetic field for various ani… ▽ More

From multiple integrals to Fredholm determinants
Abstract: We consider a multiple integral representation for the finite temperature density-density correlation functions of the one-dimensional Bose gas with delta function interaction in the limits of infinite and vanishing repulsion. In the former case a known Fredholm determinant is recovered. In the latter case a similar expression appears with permanents replacing determinants.

A note on the spin-1/2 XXZ chain concerning its relation to the Bose gas
Abstract: By considering the one-particle and two-particle scattering data of the spin-1/2 Heisenberg chain at T=0 we derive a continuum limit relating the spin chain to the 1D Bose gas. Applying this limit to the quantum transfer matrix approach of the Heisenberg chain we obtain expressions for the correlation functions of the Bose gas at arbitrary temperatures.

Factorization of the finite temperature correlation functions of the XXZ chain in a magnetic field
Abstract: We present a conjecture for the density matrix of a finite segment of the XXZ chain coupled to a heat bath and to a constant longitudinal magnetic field. It states that the inhomogeneous density matrix, conceived as a map which associates with every local operator its thermal expectation value, can be written as the trace of the exponential of an operator constructed from weighted traces of the… ▽ More

Density matrices for finite segments of Heisenberg chains of arbitrary length
Abstract: We derive a multiple integral representing the ground state density matrix of a segment of length $m$ of the XXZ spin chain on $L$ lattice sites, which depends on $L$ only parametrically. This allows us to treat chains of arbitrary finite length. Specializing to the isotropic limit of the XXX chain we show for small $m$ that the multiple integrals factorize. We conjecture that this property holds… ▽ More

Factorization of multiple integrals representing the density matrix of a finite segment of the Heisenberg spin chain
Abstract: We consider the inhomogeneous generalization of the density matrix of a finite segment of length $m$ of the antiferromagnetic Heisenberg chain. It is a function of the temperature $T$ and the external magnetic field $h$, and further depends on $m$ `spectral parameters' $ξ_j$. For short segments of length 2 and 3 we decompose the known multiple integrals for the elements of the density matrix int… ▽ More

Finite temperature density matrix and two-point correlations in the antiferromagnetic XXZ chain
Abstract: We derive finite temperature versions of integral formulae for the two-point correlation functions in the antiferromagnetic XXZ chain. The derivation is based on the summation of density matrix elements characterizing a finite chain segment of length $m$. On this occasion we also supply a proof of the basic integral formula for the density matrix presented in an earlier publication.
