Searching for three-nucleon short-range correlations
Abstract: Three nucleon short range correlations~(SRCs) are one of the most elusive structures in nuclei. Their observation and the subsequent study of their internal makeup will have a significant impact on our understanding of the dynamics of super-dense nuclear matter which exists at the cores of neutron stars. We discuss the kinematic conditions and observables that are most favorable for probing 3N-SRC… ▽ More

Towards observation of three-nucleon short-range correlations in high Q^2 A(e, e')X reactions
Abstract: We present a detailed study of kinematical and dynamical conditions necessary for probing highly elusive three-nucleon short range correlations~(3N-SRCs) in nuclei through inclusive electron scattering. The kinematic requirements that should be satisfied in order to isolate 3N-SRCs in inclusive processes are derived. We demonstrate that a sequence of two short-range NN interactions represents the… ▽ More

On the dependence of the wave function of a bound nucleon on its momentum and the EMC effect
Abstract: It is widely discussed in the literature that the wave function of the nucleon bound in a nucleus is modified due to the interaction with the surrounding medium. We argue that the modification should strongly depend on the momentum of the nucleon. We study such an effect in the case of the point-like configuration component of the wave function of a nucleon bound in a nucleus A, considering the… ▽ More

Exclusive Electro-Disintegration of 3He at high Q2: II. Decay Function Formalism
Abstract: Based on the theoretical framework of generalized eikonal approximation we study the two-nucleon emission reactions in high $Q^2$ electro-disintegration of $^3He$. Main aim is to investigate those features of the reaction which can be unambiguously identified with the short range properties of the ground state nuclear wave function. To evaluate the differential cross section we work in the forma… ▽ More

Exclusive Electro-Disintegration of 3He at High Q2: I. Generalized Eikonal Approximation
Abstract: We develop a theoretical framework for calculation of high $Q^2$ exclusive electro-disintegration of A=3 systems. The main result of this work is the calculation of the final state interaction of the struck energetic nucleon with recoil nucleons within the generalized eikonal approximation (GEA) which allows us to account for the finite and relatively large momenta of the bound nucleons in the n… ▽ More

Hadrons in the Nuclear Medium
Abstract: Quantum Chromodynamics, the microscopic theory of strong interactions, has not yet been applied to the calculation of nuclear wave functions. However, it certainly provokes a number of specific questions and suggests the existence of novel phenomena in nuclear physics which are not part of the the traditional framework of the meson-nucleon description of nuclei. Many of these phenomena are relat… ▽ More

Hard exclusive electroproduction of decuplet baryons in the large N_c limit
Abstract: The cross sections and transverse spin asymmetries in the hard exclusive electroproduction of decuplet baryons are calculated in the large N_c limit and found to be comparable to that of octet baryons. Large N_c selection rules for the production amplitudes are derived, leading to new sensitive tests of the spin aspects of the QCD chiral dynamics both in the nonstrange and strange sectors. Hard exclusive pseudoscalar meson electroproduction and spin structure of a nucleon
Abstract: The amplitude for hard exclusive pseudoscalar meson electroproduction off nucleon (nuclear) targets is computed in QCD within the leading $α_s \ln {Q^2/λ_{QCD}^{2}}$ approximation. Abstract: Predictions for the diffractive photoproduction of the $Υ$-family at HERA energies, within the framework of the analysis by Frankfurt, Koepf and Strikman, are presented. Hard Exclusive Electroproduction of Pseudoscalar Mesons and QCD axial anomaly
Abstract: The hard exclusive electroproduction of $π^0,η,η'$ mesons by the longitudinal photons is considered. We calculate the ratios of the $π^0 : η: η'$ yields for the electroproduction processes off nucleons and deuterons based on the QCD factorization theorem, the low energy QCD chiral dynamics, and the QCD anomaly. Thus investigation of these ratios gives a new way to probe the physics of the sponta… ▽ More

On the Possibility to Study Color Transparency in the Large Momentum Transfer Exclusive $d(p,2p)n$ Reaction

The Nucleon's Antiquark Sea: A Virtual Meson Cloud or Gluons?

Hard diffractive electroproduction of vector mesons in QCD

The Nucleon's Virtual Meson Cloud and Deep Inelastic Lepton Scattering

We take into account contributions from $π$ and $K$ mesons and compare with the nucleon's antiquark distributions which serve as a non-perturbative input to the QCD evolutio… ▽ More
