Abstract: The method of neutron imaging was adopted to map the concentration evolution of aqueous paramagnetic Gd(NO3)3 solutions. Magnetic manipulation of the paramagnetic liquid within a miscible nonmagnetic liquid is possible by countering density-difference driven convection.
