In this work, we investigate the infiltration dynamics of molten sand droplets on structured porous surfaces using the multiphase many-body dissipative particle dynamics (mDPD) method. We carry out three-dimensional simulations with different equilibrium contact angles and surface porosities. The temporal evolution of the radius of the wetted area follows a power law, as in the case of a smooth surface. The infiltration rate on the other hand is dictated by the competition between spreading and capillary inhibition of the pores.
