In this article, we present CuentosIE (TalesEI: chatbot of tales with a message to develop Emotional Intelligence), an educational chatbot on emotions that also provides teachers and psychologists with a tool to monitor their students/patients through indicators and data compiled by CuentosIE. The use of "tales with a message" is justified by their simplicity and easy understanding, thanks to their moral or associated metaphors. The main contributions of CuentosIE are the selection, collection, and classification of a set of highly specialized tales, as well as the provision of tools (searching, reading comprehension, chatting, recommending, and classifying) that are useful for both educating users about emotions and monitoring their emotional development. The preliminary evaluation of the tool has obtained encouraging results, which provides an affirmative answer to the question posed in the title of the article.

Computer-assisted systems are becoming broadly used in medicine. In endoscopy, most research focuses on the automatic detection of polyps or other pathologies, but localization and navigation of the endoscope are completely performed manually by physicians. To broaden this research and bring spatial Artificial Intelligence to endoscopies, data from complete procedures is needed. This paper introduces the Endomapper dataset, the first collection of complete endoscopy sequences acquired during regular medical practice, making secondary use of medical data. Its main purpose is to facilitate the development and evaluation of Visual Simultaneous Localization and Map** (VSLAM) methods in real endoscopy data. The dataset contains more than 24 hours of video. It is the first endoscopic dataset that includes endoscope calibration as well as the original calibration videos. Meta-data and annotations associated with the dataset vary from the anatomical landmarks, procedure labeling, segmentations, reconstructions, simulated sequences with ground truth and same patient procedures. The software used in this paper is publicly available.

Abstract:
The differential geometry of $3$-dimensional Bianchi, Cartan and Vranceanu ($BCV$) spaces is well known. We introduce the extended Bianchi, Cartan and Vranceanu ($EBCV$) spaces as a natural seven dimensional generalization of $BCV$ spaces and study some of their main geometric properties, such as the Levi-Civita connection, Ricci curvatures, Killing fields and geodesics.

Decoupling between torsion and magnetic fields in bouncing cosmology and galactic dynamo seeds
Authors:

Abstract:
Recently Salim et al [JCAP (2007)], have shown that galactic dynamo seeds can be possibly attainable in bouncing cosmological models with QED Lagrangeans. In this paper we generalise their result by include torsion of spacetime in bouncing cosmology. It is shown that by considering a semi-minimal photon-torsion coupling and a Lagrangean of the type $RF^{2}$ it is possible to find a fast decoupling…

Recently Salim et al [JCAP (2007)], have shown that galactic dynamo seeds can be possibly attainable in bouncing cosmological models with QED Lagrangeans. In this paper we generalise their result by include torsion of spacetime in bouncing cosmology. It is shown that by considering a semi-minimal photon-torsion coupling and a Lagrangean of the type $RF^{2}$ it is possible to find a fast decoupling between magnetic and torsion fields in the contracting phases of the universe. Besides torsion field decays as $K\sim{a^{2/3}}$ while the magnetic field grows as $B\sim{a^{-5.5}}$ thus explaining the fast decoupling between the two fields. It is expected that at some point of the contracting phase the amplification of the magnetic field may give rise to a enough strong magnetic field to seed a galactic dynamo.

This paper evaluates the different tasks carried out in the translation of pronominal anaphora in a machine translation (MT) system. The MT interlingua approach named AGIR (Anaphora Generation with an Interlingua Representation) improves upon other proposals presented to date because it is able to translate intersentential anaphors, detect co-reference chains, and translate Spanish zero pronouns into English---issues hardly considered by other systems. The paper presents the resolution and evaluation of these anaphora problems in AGIR with the use of different kinds of knowledge (lexical, morphological, syntactic, and semantic). The translation of English and Spanish anaphoric third-person personal pronouns (including Spanish zero pronouns) into the target language has been evaluated on unrestricted corpora. We have obtained a precision of 80.4% and 84.8% in the translation of Spanish and English pronouns, respectively. Although we have only studied the Spanish and English languages, our approach can be easily extended to other languages such as Portuguese, Italian, or Japanese.

Geometrical particle models on 3D null curves
Authors:

Abstract:
The simplest (2+1)-dimensional mechanical systems associated with light-like curves, already studied by Nersessian and Ramos, are reconsidered. The action is linear in the curvature of the particle path and the moduli spaces of solutions are completely exhibited in 3-dimensional Minkowski background, even when the action is not proportional to the pseudo-arc length of the trajectory.
