Stable cohomology of graph complexes
Abstract: We study three graph complexes related to the higher genus Grothendieck-Teichmüller Lie algebra and diffeomorphism groups of manifolds. We show how the cohomology of these graph complexes is related, and we compute the cohomology as the genus $g$ tends to $\infty$. As a byproduct, we find that the Malcev completion of the genus $g$ map** class group relative to the symplectic group is Koszul in… ▽ More

Graph Complexes and higher genus Grothendieck-Teichmüller Lie algebras
Abstract: We give a presentation in terms of generators and relations of the cohomology in degree zero of the Campos-Willwacher graph complexes associated to compact orientable surfaces of genus $g$. The results carry a natural Lie algebra structure, and for $g=1$ we recover Enriquez' elliptic Grothendieck-Teichmüller Lie algebra. In analogy to Willwacher's theorem relating Kontsevich's graph complex to Dri… ▽ More

Influence of Demand and Generation Uncertainty on the Operational Efficiency of Smart Grids
Abstract: To ensure the smooth and near optimal operation of storage and controllable generation in a grid with a high share of renewable energies, it is important to have accurate forecasts for load and generation. But even with the advanced forecasts available today, the prediction error can have a significant impact on the operation performance of the system. This paper compares and analyzes the impact o… ▽ More

On a homotopy version of the Duflo isomorphism
Abstract: For a finite dimensional Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$, the Duflo map $S\mathfrak{g}\rightarrow U\mathfrak{g}$ defines an isomorphism of $\mathfrak{g}$-modules. On $\mathfrak{g}$-invariant elements it gives an isomorphism of algebras. Moreover, it induces an isomorphism of algebras on the level of Lie algebra cohomology $H(\mathfrak{g},S\mathfrak{g})\rightarrow H(\mathfrak{g}, U\mathfrak{g})$. Howeve… ▽ More

Filtrations on graph complexes and the Grothendieck-Teichmüller Lie algebra in depth two
Abstract: We establish an isomorphism between the Grothendieck-Teichmüller Lie algebra $\mathfrak{grt}_1$ in depth two modulo higher depth and the cohomology of the two-loop part of the graph complex of internally connected graphs $\mathsf{ICG}(1)$. In particular, we recover all linear relations satisfied by the brackets of the conjectural generators $σ_{2k+1}$ modulo depth three by considering relations am… ▽ More

Internally connected graphs and the Kashiwara-Vergne Lie algebra
Abstract: It is conjectured that the Kashiwara-Vergne Lie algebra $\widehat{\mathfrak{krv}}_2$ is isomorphic to the direct sum of the Grothendieck-Teichmüller Lie algebra $\mathfrak{grt}_1$ and a one-dimensional Lie algebra. In this paper, we use the graph complex of internally connected graphs to define a nested sequence of Lie subalgebras of $\widehat{\mathfrak{krv}}_2$ whose intersection is… ▽ More

On the irrationality of certain coefficients of the Alekseev-Torossian associator
Abstract: We give explicit formulas for the first few coefficients of the Alekseev-Torossian associator and a second Drinfeld associator. This is done by analyzing the free and transitive action of the Grothendieck-Teichmüller group and its Lie algebra $\mathfrak{grt}_1$ on the set of Drinfeld associators. As a result we obtain that, up to a conjecture on multiple zeta values, both associators are not ratio… ▽ More
