A two-qubit Heisenberg XYZ model with Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya (DM) and Kaplan-Shekhtman-Entin-Wohlman--Aharony (KSEA) interactions is considered at thermal equilibrium. Analytical formulas are derived for the local quantum uncertainty (LQU) and local quantum Fisher information (LQFI). Using the available expressions for the entropic quantum discord, we perform a comparative study of these measures of nonclassical correlation. Our analysis showed the following: all three measures of quantum correlation have similar qualitative and even quantitative behavior on temperature for different values of system parameters, there are regions in the parameter space which correspondent to a local increase of correlations with increasing temperature, and sudden changes in the behavior of quantum correlations occur at certain values of the interaction parameters.

The influence of DM and KSEA interactions on the behavior of entanglement and on the shape of disentangled region is studied. A connection between the two-qubit quantum states and the reduced density matrices of many-particle systems is discussed.

Super-quantum discord is an extension of the quantum discord concept where weak measurements are made instead of projective measurements. We study the temperature behavior of the super-quantum discord for two real magnetic materials. We extract information about super-quantum discord from the magnetic susceptibility data for iron nitrosyl complexes $\mathrm{ Fe_2(SC_3 H_5N_2)_2(NO)_4}$ and binuclear Cu(II) acetate complex $\mathrm{[Cu_2 L(OAc)]\cdot 6 H_2O}$, where $\mathrm{ L}$ is a ligand that allows us to compare the super-quantum discord with the standard one. The dependence of the super-quantum discord on the parameter describing weak measurements is studied. Obtained difference between super-quantum and quantum discords confirms the detection of additional quantum correlations that are usually destroyed during projective measurements. The use of the approach allows to predict quantitatively in advance the advantages of use of weak measurements versus projective one for quantum technologies in real settings where quantum discord is used as resource. This can be relevant particularly in macroscopic quantum systems where weak measurements can be used to extract information about the system.

Quantum correlations are investigated theoretically in a two-spin system with the dipole-dipole interactions in the NMR multiple-pulse spin-locking experiments. We consider two schemes of the multiple-pulse spin-locking. The first scheme consists of $π/2$-pulses only and the delays between the pulses can differ. The second scheme contains $\varphi$-pulses ($0<\varphi<π$) and has equal delays between them. We calculate entanglement for both schemes for an initial separable state. We show that entanglement is absent for the first scheme at equal delays between $π/2$-pulses at arbitraty temperatures. Entanglement emerges after several periods of the pulse sequence in the second scheme at $\varphi=π/4$ at milliKelvin temperatures. The necessary number of the periods increases with increasing temperature. We demonstrate the dependence of entanglement on the number of the periods of the multiple-pulse sequence. Quantum discord is obtained for the first scheme of the multiple-pulse spin-locking experiment at different temperatures.

Multiple quantum (MQ) NMR methods \cite{Baum} are applied to the analysis of various problems of quantum information processing.
It is shown that the two-spin/two-quantum Hamiltonian \cite{Baum} describing MQ NMR dynamics is related to the flip-flop Hamiltonian of a one-dimensional spin system in the approximation of the nearest neighbor interactions.
As a result, it is possible to organize quantum state transfer along a linear chain.
MQ NMR experiments are performed on quasi-one-dimensional chains of \BPChem{\^{19}F} nuclei in calcium fluorapatite \BPChem{Ca\_5(PO\_4)\_3F}. Relaxation of the MQ NMR coherences is considered as the simplest model of decoherence processes. A theory of the dipolar relaxation of the MQ NMR coherences in one-dimensional systems is developed. A good agreement of the theoretical predictions and the experimental data is obtained.

This paper is devoted to the multiple-quantum (MQ) NMR spectroscopy in nanopores filled by a gas of spin-carrying molecules (s=1/2) in a strong external magnetic field. It turned out that the high symmetry of the spin system in nanopores yields a possibility to overcome the problem of the exponential growth of the Hilbert space dimension with an increase in the number of spins and to investigate MQ NMR dynamics in systems consisting of several hundred spins. We investigate the dependence of the MQ coherence intensities on their order (the profile of the MQ coherence intensities) for a spin system governed by the standard MQ NMR Hamiltonian (the nonsecular two-quantum/two-spin Hamiltonian) together with the second order correction of the average Hamiltonian theory. It is shown that the profile depends on the value of this correction and varies from the exponential to the logarithmic one.

We consider the multiple quantum (MQ) NMR dynamics of a gas of spin carrying molecules in nanocavities.
MQ NMR dynamics is determined by the residual dipole-dipole interactions which are not averaged completely due to the molecular diffusion in nanopores.
Since the averaged non-secular Hamiltonian describing MQ NMR dynamics depends on only one coupling constant, this Hamiltonian commutes with the square of the total spin angular momentum $\hat I^2$.
We use the basis of common eigenstates of $\hat I^2$ and the projection of $I$ on the external magnetic field for investigation of MQ NMR dynamics.
This approach allows us to study MQ NMR dynamics in systems consisting of several hundreds of spins. The analytical approximation of the stationary profile of MQ coherences is obtained.
The analytical expressions for MQ NMR coherence intensities of the five-spin system in a nanopore are found.
Numerical investigations allow us to find the dependencies of intensities of MQ coherences on their orders (the profiles of MQ coherences) in systems consisting of 600 spins and even more.
It is shown that the stationary MQ coherence profile in the considered system is an exponential one.

We have considered scenarios for the evolution of close binaries resulting in the formation of semi-detached systems in which a white dwarf can accumulate Chandrasekhar mass by accretion from a main-sequence or subgiant companion with $M\sim 2 M_\odot$. These white dwarfs, probably, explode as type Ia supernovae or collapse with formation of neutron stars. We have carried out a population synthesis study for these systems and have estimated the occurrence rate of such events in the Galaxy, depending on the parameter of common envelopes, mass-exchange rate in the binary, reaction of the main-sequence component on accretion of helium in the intervening phase of evolution. We have found that the model occurrence rate of SNe Ia in semi-detached systems is $\simeq 0.2 \times 10^{-3}$ yr$^{-1}$, i. e., it does not exceed $\sim 10%$ of the observational estimate of the Galactic occurrence rate of SNe Ia.

We suggest a new mechanism to account for the loss of angular momentum in binaries with non-conservative mass exchange. It is shown that in some cases the loss of matter can result in increase of the orbital angular momentum of a binary. If included into consideration in evolutionary calculations, this mechanism appreciably extends the range of mass ratios of components for which mass exchange in binaries is stable. It becomes possible to explain the existence of some observed cataclysmic binaries with high donor/accretor mass ratio, which was prohibited in conservative evolution models.
