The anticipated increase in the count of IoT devices in the coming years motivates the development of efficient algorithms that can help in their effective management while kee** the power consumption low. In this paper, we propose an intelligent multi-channel resource allocation algorithm for dense LoRa networks termed LoRaDRL and provide a detailed performance evaluation. Our results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm not only significantly improves LoRaWAN's packet delivery ratio (PDR) but is also able to support mobile end-devices (EDs) while ensuring lower power consumption hence increasing both the lifetime and capacity of the network.} Most previous works focus on proposing different MAC protocols for improving the network capacity, i.e., LoRaWAN, delay before transmit etc. We show that through the use of LoRaDRL, we can achieve the same efficiency with ALOHA \textcolor{black}{compared to LoRaSim, and LoRa-MAB while moving the complexity from EDs to the gateway thus making the EDs simpler and cheaper. Furthermore, we test the performance of LoRaDRL under large-scale frequency jamming attacks and show its adaptiveness to the changes in the environment. We show that LoRaDRL's output improves the performance of state-of-the-art techniques resulting in some cases an improvement of more than 500\% in terms of PDR compared to learning-based techniques.

Observational constraints on dark energy cosmological model parameters

The expansion rate of the Universe changes with time, initially slowing (decelerating) when the universe was matter dominated, because of the mutual gravitational attraction of all the matter in it, and more recently speeding up (accelerating). A number of cosmological observations now strongly support the idea that the Universe is spatially flat (provided the dark energy density is at least approximately time independent) and is currently undergoing an accelerated cosmological expansion. A majority of cosmologists consider "dark energy" to be the cause of this observed accelerated cosmological expansion.
The "standard" model of cosmology is the spatially-flat ΛCDM model. Although most predictions of the ΛCDM model are reasonably consistent with measurements, the ΛCDM model has some curious features. To overcome these difficulties, different Dark Energy models have been proposed. Two of these models, the XCDM parametrization and the slow rolling scalar field model $φ$CDM, along with "standard" ΛCDM, with the generalization of XCDM and $φ$CDM in non-flat spatial geometries are considered here and observational data are used to constrain their parameter sets.
In this thesis, we start with a overview of the general theory of relativity, Friedmann's equations, and distance measures in cosmology. In the following chapters we explain how we can constrain the three above mentioned cosmological models using three data sets: measurements of the Hubble parameter $H(z)$, Supernova apparent magnitudes, and the BAO peak length scale, as functions of redshift $z$. We then discuss constraints on the deceleration-acceleration transition redshift $z_{\rm da}$ using unbinned and binned $H(z)$ data.
Finally, we incorporate the spatial curvature in the XCDM and $φ$CDM model and determine observational constraints on the parameters of these expanded models.
