A signal for the decay $D_s^{*+}\to e^+ν_e$ is observed with a statistical significance of $2.9σ$. The branching fraction of ${D_s^{*+}\to e^+ν_e}$ is measured to be $(2.1{^{+1.2}_{-0.9}}_{\rm stat.}\pm0.2_{\rm syst.})\times 10^{-5}$, corresponding to an upper limit of $4.0\times10^{-5}$ at the 90\% confidence level. Taking the total width of the $D_s^{*+}$~(($0.070\pm0.028$) keV) predicted by lattice quantum chromodynamics as input, the decay constant of the $D^{*+}_s$ is determined to be $f_{D_s^{*+}}=(213.6{^{+61.0}_{-45.8}}_{\rm stat.}\pm43.9_{\rm syst.})$ MeV, corresponding to an upper limit of 353.8 MeV at the 90\% confidence level.

Combining with the world average branching fraction of $Λ_{c}^{+}\rightarrow Σ^+ π^+ π^-$, their branching fractions are measured to be $(0.377\pm0.042\pm0.018\pm0.021)\%$ for $Λ_{c}^{+}\rightarrowΣ^{+} K^{+} K^{-}$, $(0.200\pm0.023\pm0.010\pm0.011)\%$ for $Λ_{c}^{+}\rightarrowΣ^{+} K^{+} π^{-}$, $(0.414\pm0.080\pm0.029\pm0.023)\%$ for $Λ_{c}^{+}\rightarrowΣ^{+}φ$ and $(0.197\pm0.036\pm0.008\pm0.011)\%$ for $Λ_{c}^{+}\rightarrowΣ^{+}K^{+} K^{-}$(non-$φ$). In all the above results, the first uncertainties are statistical, the second are systematic and the third are from external input of the branching fraction of $Λ_{c}^{+}\rightarrow Σ^+ π^+ π^-$. Since no signal for $Λ_{c}^{+}\rightarrowΣ^{+} K^{+} π^{-}π^{0}$ is observed, the upper limit of its branching fraction is determined to be 0.11\% at the 90$\%$ confidence level.

A recently developed plasma-wall self-organization (PWSO) model predicts a significantly enhanced density limit, which may be attainable in tokamaks with ECRH-assisted ohmic startup and sufficiently high initial neutral density. Experiments have been conducted on J-TEXT to validate such a density limit scenario based on this model. Experimental results demonstrate that increasing the pre-filled gas pressure or ECRH power during the startup phase can effectively enhance plasma purity and raise the density limit at the flat-top. Despite the dominant carbon fraction in the wall material, some discharges approach the edge of the density-free regime of the 1D model of PWSO.

Contrastive Learning (CL) performances as a rising approach to address the challenge of sparse and noisy recommendation data. Although having achieved promising results, most existing CL methods only perform either hand-crafted data or model augmentation for generating contrastive pairs to find a proper augmentation operation for different datasets, which makes the model hard to generalize. Additionally, since insufficient input data may lead the encoder to learn collapsed embeddings, these CL methods expect a relatively large number of training data (e.g., large batch size or memory bank) to contrast. However, not all contrastive pairs are always informative and discriminative enough for the training processing. Therefore, a more general CL-based recommendation model called Meta-optimized Contrastive Learning for sequential Recommendation (MCLRec) is proposed in this work. By applying both data augmentation and learnable model augmentation operations, this work innovates the standard CL framework by contrasting data and model augmented views for adaptively capturing the informative features hidden in stochastic data augmentation. Moreover, MCLRec utilizes a meta-learning manner to guide the updating of the model augmenters, which helps to improve the quality of contrastive pairs without enlarging the amount of input data. Finally, a contrastive regularization term is considered to encourage the augmentation model to generate more informative augmented views and avoid too similar contrastive pairs within the meta updating. The experimental results on commonly used datasets validate the effectiveness of MCLRec.

This paper focuses on the continuous control of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) based on a deep reinforcement learning method for a large-scale 3D complex environment. The purpose is to make the UAV reach any target point from a certain starting point, and the flying height and speed are variable during navigation. In this work, we propose a deep reinforcement learning (DRL)-based method combined with human-in-the-loop, which allows the UAV to avoid obstacles automatically during flying. We design multiple reward functions based on the relevant domain knowledge to guide UAV navigation. The role of human-in-the-loop is to dynamically change the reward function of the UAV in different situations to suit the obstacle avoidance of the UAV better. We verify the success rate and average step size on urban, rural, and forest scenarios, and the experimental results show that the proposed method can reduce the training convergence time and improve the efficiency and accuracy of navigation tasks. Small object detection requires the detection head to scan a large number of positions on image feature maps, which is extremely hard for computation- and energy-efficient lightweight generic detectors. To accurately detect small objects with limited computation, we propose a two-stage lightweight detection framework with extremely low computation complexity, termed as TinyDet. It enables high-resolution feature maps for dense anchoring to better cover small objects, proposes a sparsely-connected convolution for computation reduction, enhances the early stage features in the backbone, and addresses the feature misalignment problem for accurate small object detection. On the COCO benchmark, our TinyDet-M achieves 30.3 AP and 13.5 AP^s with only 991 MFLOPs, which is the first detector that has an AP over 30 with less than 1 GFLOPs; besides, TinyDet-S and TinyDet-L achieve promising performance under different computation limitation.

In this work, we report periodicity search analyses in the gamma-ray light curve of the blazar S4 0954+658 monitoring undertaken by the Fermi Large Area Telescope (LAT). Four analytical methods and a tool are adopted to detect any periodic flux modulation and corresponding significance level, revealing that (i) a 66 d quasi-periodic oscillation (QPO) with the significance level of $> 5σ$ spanning over 600 d from 2015 to 2016 (MJD 57145--57745), resulting in continuous observation of nine cycles, which is one of the highest cycles discerned in blazar gamma-ray light curve; (ii) a possible QPO of 210 d at a moderate significance of $\sim3.5σ$ lasted for over 880 d from 2020 to 2022 (MJD 59035--59915), which lasted for four cycles. In addition, we discuss several physical models to explain the origin of the two transient QPOs and conclude that a geometrical scenario involving a plasma blob moving helically inside the jet can explain the time scale of the QPO.

Differentiable volumetric rendering is a powerful paradigm for 3D reconstruction and novel view synthesis. However, standard volume rendering approaches struggle with degenerate geometries in the case of limited viewpoint diversity, a common scenario in robotics applications. In this work, we propose to use the multi-view photometric objective from the self-supervised depth estimation literature as a geometric regularizer for volumetric rendering, significantly improving novel view synthesis without requiring additional information. Building upon this insight, we explore the explicit modeling of scene geometry using a generalist Transformer, jointly learning a radiance field as well as depth and light fields with a set of shared latent codes. We demonstrate that sharing geometric information across tasks is mutually beneficial, leading to improvements over single-task learning without an increase in network complexity. Our DeLiRa architecture achieves state-of-the-art results on the ScanNet benchmark, enabling high quality volumetric rendering as well as real-time novel view and depth synthesis in the limited viewpoint diversity setting.

Similar Case Matching (SCM) plays a pivotal role in the legal system by facilitating the efficient identification of similar cases for legal professionals. While previous research has primarily concentrated on enhancing the performance of SCM models, the aspect of interpretability has been neglected. To bridge the gap, this study proposes an integrated pipeline framework for interpretable SCM. The framework comprises four modules: judicial feature sentence identification, case matching, feature sentence alignment, and conflict resolution. In contrast to current SCM methods, our framework first extracts feature sentences within a legal case that contain essential information. Then it conducts case matching based on these extracted features. Subsequently, our framework aligns the corresponding sentences in two legal cases to provide evidence of similarity. In instances where the results of case matching and feature sentence alignment exhibit conflicts, the conflict resolution module resolves these inconsistencies. The experimental results show the effectiveness of our proposed framework, establishing a new benchmark for interpretable SCM.

This paper explores the properties of the plain Vision Transformer (ViT) for Weakly-supervised Semantic Segmentation (WSSS). The class activation map (CAM) is of critical importance for understanding a classification network and launching WSSS. We observe that different attention heads of ViT focus on different image areas. Thus a novel weight-based method is proposed to end-to-end estimate the importance of attention heads, while the self-attention maps are adaptively fused for high-quality CAM results that tend to have more complete objects. Besides, we propose a ViT-based gradient clip** decoder for online retraining with the CAM results to complete the WSSS task. We name this plain Transformer-based Weakly-supervised learning framework WeakTr. It achieves the state-of-the-art WSSS performance on standard benchmarks, i.e., 78.4% mIoU on the val set of PASCAL VOC 2012 and 50.3% mIoU on the val set of COCO 2014. Rendering moving human bodies at free viewpoints only from a monocular video is quite a challenging problem. The information is too sparse to model complicated human body structures and motions from both view and pose dimensions. Neural radiance fields (NeRF) have shown great power in novel view synthesis and have been applied to human body rendering. However, most current NeRF-based methods bear huge costs for both training and rendering, which impedes the wide applications in real-life scenarios. In this paper, we propose a rendering framework that can learn moving human body structures extremely quickly from a monocular video. The framework is built by integrating both neural fields and neural voxels. Especially, a set of generalizable neural voxels are constructed. With pretrained on various human bodies, these general voxels represent a basic skeleton and can provide strong geometric priors. For the fine-tuning process, individual voxels are constructed for learning differential textures, complementary to general voxels. Thus learning a novel body can be further accelerated, taking only a few minutes. Our method shows significantly higher training efficiency compared with previous methods, while maintaining similar rendering quality. The project page is at https://taoranyi.com/gneuvox .

The recently discovered kagome superconductors offer a promising platform for investigating intertwined orders and novel states, including topology, superconductivity, charge density waves, and more. The interplay among these orders can spontaneously break rotational symmetry, giving rise to exotic phenomena such as nematicity or even nematic superconductivity. Here we present our findings on the two-fold symmetric superconductivity in thin-flake RbV3Sb5 in response to direction-dependent in-plane magnetic fields, in contrast to the inherent six-fold structural symmetry of the crystal lattice. The two-fold symmetry was evidenced through a combination of magnetoresistance transport experiments, critical magnetic field measurements, and observations of anisotropic superconducting gaps. Additionally, by altering the experimental configuration, we also detected the presence of six-fold symmetric components superimposed on the two-fold symmetry at the boundary between normal and superconducting states. Our results underscore the correlation-driven symmetry-breaking phenomena and emphasize the potential of this correlated kagome family as a promising platform for investigating intertwined orders, including unconventional superconductivity.

The dynamics of the $D_{s}^{+} \to f_{0}(980)e^{+}ν_{e}$ decay are studied with the simple pole parameterization of the hadronic form factor and the Flatté formula describing the $f_0(980)$ in the differential decay rate, and the product of the form factor $f^{f_0}_{+}(0)$ and the $c\to s$ Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{cs}|$ is determined for the first time to be $f^{f_0}_+(0)|V_{cs}|=0.504\pm0.017_{\rm stat}\pm0.035_{\rm syst}$.

The product of the $D_s^+$ decay constant $f_{D_s^+}$ and the CKM matrix element $|V_{cs}|$ is $f_{D_s^+}|V_{cs}| = (248.3\pm3.9_{\rm stat}\pm3.1_{\rm syst}\pm1.0_{\rm input})~\mathrm{MeV}$. Combining with the $|V_{cs}|$ value obtained from the Standard Model global fit or the $f_{D_s^+}$ from the lattice quantum chromodynamics, we determine $|V_{cs}| = 0.993\pm0.015_{\rm stat}\pm0.012_{\rm syst}\pm0.004_{\rm input}$ and $f_{D_s^+} = (255.0\pm4.0_{\rm stat}\pm3.2_{\rm syst}\pm1.0_{\rm input})~\text{MeV}$. The first uncertainty is statistical, the second one is systematic and the third one is due to the input parameters, mainly the lifetime of $D_s^+$. All results obtained in this work supersede the BESIII previous results based on 6.32 fb$^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data taken at center-of-mass energies between $4.178$ and $4.226$~GeV.

Combining this branching fraction with the world averages of the measurements of the masses of $τ^+$ and $D_s^+$ as well as the lifetime of $D_s^+$, we extract the product of the decay constant of $D_s^+$ and the $c\to s$ Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element to be $f_{D_s^+}|V_{cs}|=(246.2\pm3.7_{\rm stat}\pm2.5_{\rm syst})~\mathrm{MeV}$. Taking $|V_{cs}|$ from a global fit in the standard model we obtain $f_{D_s^+}=(252.7\pm3.8_{\rm stat}\pm2.6_{\rm syst})$ MeV. Conversely, taking $f_{D_s^+}$ from lattice quantum chromodynamics calculations, we obtain $|V_{cs}| = 0.984\pm0.015_{\rm stat}\pm0.010_{\rm syst}$.

Adversarial attacks can mislead deep learning models to make false predictions by implanting small perturbations to the original input that are imperceptible to the human eye, which poses a huge security threat to the computer vision systems based on deep learning. Physical adversarial attacks, which is more realistic, as the perturbation is introduced to the input before it is being captured and converted to a binary image inside the vision system, when compared to digital adversarial attacks. In this paper, we focus on physical adversarial attacks and further classify them into invasive and non-invasive. Optical-based physical adversarial attack techniques (e.g. using light irradiation) belong to the non-invasive category. As the perturbations can be easily ignored by humans as the perturbations are very similar to the effects generated by a natural environment in the real world. They are highly invisibility and executable and can pose a significant or even lethal threats to real systems. This paper focuses on optical-based physical adversarial attack techniques for computer vision systems, with emphasis on the introduction and discussion of optical-based physical adversarial attack techniques.

Equivalently, there is a unitary operator $U \in \M$ such that $\frac{1}{N}\sum_{j=0}^{N-1}{U^*}^jX_iU^j=τ(X_i)I$ for $i=1,\cdots,n$. This result is a stronger version of Dixmier's averaging theorem for type ${\rm II}_1$ factors. As the first application, we show that all elements of trace zero in a type ${\rm II}_1$ factor are single commutators and any self-adjoint elements of trace zero are single self-commutators. This result answers affirmatively Question 1.1 in [10]. As the second application, we prove that any self-adjoint element in a type ${\rm II}_1$ factor can be written a linear combination of 4 projections. This result answers affirmatively Question 6(2) in [15]. As the third application, we show that if $(\mathcal{M},τ)$ is a finite factor, $X \in \mathcal{M}$, then there exists a normal operator $N \in \mathcal{M}$ and a nilpotent operator $K$ such that $X= N+ K$. This result answers affirmatively Question 1.1 in [9].

In addition, evidence of a resonance state in $e^+e^-\to π^+π^-ω$ production is found. The mass of this state obtained by line shape fitting is about 4.2 GeV/$c^2$, which is consistent with the production of $ψ(4160)$ or $Y(4220)$.

Waveform decomposition is needed as a first step in the extraction of various types of geometric and spectral information from hyperspectral full-waveform LiDAR echoes. We present a new approach to deal with the "Pseudo-monopulse" waveform formed by the overlapped waveforms from multi-targets when they are very close. We use one single skew-normal distribution (SND) model to fit waveforms of all spectral channels first and count the geometric center position distribution of the echoes to decide whether it contains multi-targets. The geometric center position distribution of the "Pseudo-monopulse" presents aggregation and asymmetry with the change of wavelength, while such an asymmetric phenomenon cannot be found from the echoes of the single target. Both theoretical and experimental data verify the point. Based on such observation, we further propose a hyperspectral waveform decomposition method utilizing the SND mixture model with: 1) initializing new waveform component parameters and their ranges based on the distinction of the three characteristics (geometric center position, pulse width, and skew-coefficient) between the echo and fitted SND waveform and 2) conducting single-channel waveform decomposition for all channels and 3) setting thresholds to find outlier channels based on statistical parameters of all single-channel decomposition results (the standard deviation and the means of geometric center position) and 4) re-conducting single-channel waveform decomposition for these outlier channels. The proposed method significantly improves the range resolution from 60cm to 5cm at most for a 4ns width laser pulse and represents the state-of-the-art in "Pseudo-monopulse" waveform decomposition.

The main task of the Top Tracker detector of the neutrino reactor experiment Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO) is to reconstruct and extrapolate atmospheric muon tracks down to the central detector. This muon tracker will help to evaluate the contribution of the cosmogenic background to the signal. The Top Tracker is located above JUNO's water Cherenkov Detector and Central Detector, covering about 60% of the surface above them. The JUNO Top Tracker is constituted by the decommissioned OPERA experiment Target Tracker modules. The technology used consists in walls of two planes of plastic scintillator strips, one per transverse direction. Wavelength shifting fibres collect the light signal emitted by the scintillator strips and guide it to both ends where it is read by multianode photomultiplier tubes. Compared to the OPERA Target Tracker, the JUNO Top Tracker uses new electronics able to cope with the high rate produced by the high rock radioactivity compared to the one in Gran Sasso underground laboratory. This paper will present the new electronics and mechanical structure developed for the Top Tracker of JUNO along with its expected performance based on the current detector simulation.

The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO), the first multi-kton liquid scintillator detector, which is under construction in China, will have a unique potential to perform a real-time measurement of solar neutrinos well below the few MeV threshold typical for Water Cherenkov detectors. JUNO's large target mass and excellent energy resolution are prerequisites for reaching unprecedented levels of precision. In this paper, we provide estimation of the JUNO sensitivity to 7Be, pep, and CNO solar neutrinos that can be obtained via a spectral analysis above the 0.45 MeV threshold. This study is performed assuming different scenarios of the liquid scintillator radiopurity, ranging from the most opti mistic one corresponding to the radiopurity levels obtained by the Borexino experiment, up to the minimum requirements needed to perform the neutrino mass ordering determination with reactor antineutrinos - the main goal of JUNO. Our study shows that in most scenarios, JUNO will be able to improve the current best measurements on 7Be, pep, and CNO solar neutrino fluxes. We also perform a study on the JUNO capability to detect periodical time variations in the solar neutrino flux, such as the day-night modulation induced by neutrino flavor regeneration in Earth, and the modulations induced by temperature changes driven by helioseismic waves.

With data samples collected with the BESIII detector at seven energy points at $\sqrt{s}= 3.68 - 3.71$ GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 333 pb$^{-1}$, we present a study of the $Λ$ transverse polarization in the $e^+e^-\toΛ\barΛ$ reaction. The significance of polarization by combining the seven energy points is found to be 2.6$σ$ including the systematic uncertainty, which implies a non-zero phase between the transition amplitudes of the $Λ\barΛ$ helicity states. The modulus ratio and the relative phase of EM-$psionic$ form factors combined with all energy points are measured to be $R^Ψ =$ 0.71$^{+0.10}_{-0.10}$ $\pm$ 0.03 and $ΔΦ^Ψ$ = (23$^{+8.8}_{-8.0}$ $\pm$ 1.6$)^\circ$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic.

The decay parameters of the $Ξ^0$ hyperon $(α_{Ξ^0}, α_{\barΞ^0}, φ_{Ξ^0}, φ_{\barΞ^0})$ and the angular distribution parameter $(α_{ψ(3686)})$ and $ΔΦ$ are measured simultaneously for the first time. In addition, the $CP$ asymmetry observables are determined to be $A^{Ξ^0}_{CP} = (α_{Ξ^0} + α_{\barΞ^0})/(α_{Ξ^0} -
α_{\barΞ^0})$ $= -0.007$ $\pm$ 0.082 $\pm$ 0.025 and $Δφ^{Ξ^0}_{CP} = (φ_{Ξ^0} + φ_{\barΞ^0})/2$ $= -0.079$ $\pm$ 0.082 $\pm$ 0.010 rad, which are consistent with $CP$ conservation.

Data collection is indispensable for spatial crowdsourcing services, such as resource allocation, policymaking, and scientific explorations. However, privacy issues make it challenging for users to share their information unless receiving sufficient compensation. Differential Privacy (DP) is a promising mechanism to release helpful information while protecting individuals' privacy. However, most DP mechanisms only consider a fixed compensation for each user's privacy loss. In this paper, we design a task assignment scheme that allows workers to dynamically improve their utility with dynamic distance privacy leakage. Specifically, we propose two solutions to improve the total utility of task assignment results, namely Private Utility Conflict-Elimination (PUCE) approach and Private Game Theory (PGT) approach, respectively. We prove that PUCE achieves higher utility than the state-of-the-art works. We demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of our PUCE and PGT approaches on both real and synthetic data sets compared with the recent distance-based approach, Private Distance Conflict-Elimination (PDCE). PUCE is always better than PDCE slightly. PGT is 50% to 63% faster than PDCE and can improve 16% utility on average when worker range is large enough.

The non-zero $gX^2Y$ term for the decay mode $η\toπ^+π^-π^0$ is confirmed, as reported by the KLOE Collaboration, while the other higher-order terms are found to be insignificant. Dalitz plot asymmetries in the $η\toπ^+π^-π^0$ decay are also explored and are found to be consistent with charge conjugation invariance. In addition, a cusp effect is investigated in the $η\toπ^0π^0π^0$ decay, and no obvious structure around the $π^+π^-$ mass threshold is observed.

Vehicle re-identification is a cross-view search task by matching the same target vehicle from different perspectives. It serves an important role in road-vehicle collaboration and intelligent road control. With the large-scale and dynamic road environment, the paradigm of supervised vehicle re-identification shows limited scalability because of the heavy reliance on large-scale annotated datasets. Therefore, the unsupervised vehicle re-identification with stronger cross-scene generalization ability has attracted more attention. Considering that Masked Autoencoder (MAE) has shown excellent performance in self-supervised learning, this work designs a Contour Guided Masked Autoencoder for Unsupervised Vehicle Re-Identification (ConMAE), which is inspired by extracting the informative contour clue to highlight the key regions for cross-view correlation. ConMAE is implemented by preserving the image blocks with contour pixels and randomly masking the blocks with smooth textures. In addition, to improve the quality of pseudo labels of vehicles for unsupervised re-identification, we design a label softening strategy and adaptively update the label with the increase of training steps. We carry out experiments on VeRi-776 and VehicleID datasets, and a significant performance improvement is obtained by the comparison with the state-of-the-art unsupervised vehicle re-identification methods. The code is available on the website of https://github.com/2020132075/ConMAE.

In recent years, large-scale models have demonstrated state-of-the-art performance across various domains. However, training such models requires various techniques to address the problem of limited computing power and memory on devices such as GPUs. Some commonly used techniques include pipeline parallelism, tensor parallelism, and activation checkpointing. While existing works have focused on finding efficient distributed execution plans (Zheng et al. 2022) and activation checkpoint scheduling (Herrmann et al. 2019, Beaumont et al. 2021}, there has been no method proposed to optimize these two plans jointly. Moreover, ahead-of-time compilation relies heavily on accurate memory and computing overhead estimation, which is often time-consuming and misleading. Existing training systems and machine learning pipelines either physically execute each operand or estimate memory usage with a scaled input tensor. To address these challenges, we introduce a system that can jointly optimize distributed execution and gradient checkpointing plans. Additionally, we provide an easy-to-use symbolic profiler that generates memory and computing statistics for any PyTorch model with a minimal time cost. Our approach allows users to parallelize their model training on the given hardware with minimum code change based. Over the past few years, there has been remarkable progress in research on 3D point clouds and their use in autonomous driving scenarios has become widespread. However, deep learning methods heavily rely on annotated data and often face domain generalization issues. Unlike 2D images whose domains usually pertain to the texture information present in them, the features derived from a 3D point cloud are affected by the distribution of the points. The lack of a 3D domain adaptation benchmark leads to the common practice of training a model on one benchmark (e.g. Waymo) and then assessing it on another dataset (e.g. KITTI). This setting results in two distinct domain gaps: scenarios and sensors, making it difficult to analyze and evaluate the method accurately. To tackle this problem, this paper presents LiDAR Dataset with Cross Sensors (LiDAR-CS Dataset), which contains large-scale annotated LiDAR point cloud under six groups of different sensors but with the same corresponding scenarios, captured from hybrid realistic LiDAR simulator. To our knowledge, LiDAR-CS Dataset is the first dataset that addresses the sensor-related gaps in the domain of 3D object detection in real traffic. Furthermore, we evaluate and analyze the performance using various baseline detectors and demonstrated its potential applications. Project page: https://opendriving.github.io/lidar-cs.

Millimeter wave (mmWave) massive multiple-input multiple-output (massive MIMO) is one of the most promising technologies for the fifth generation and beyond wireless communication system. However, a large number of antennas incur high power consumption and hardware costs, and high-frequency communications place a heavy burden on the analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) at the base station (BS). Furthermore, it is too costly to equip** each antenna with a high-precision ADC in a large antenna array system. It is promising to adopt low-resolution ADCs to address this problem. In this paper, we investigate the cascaded channel estimation for a mmWave massive MIMO system aided by a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) with the BS equipped with few-bit ADCs. Due to the low-rank property of the cascaded channel, the estimation of the cascaded channel can be formulated as a low-rank matrix completion problem. We introduce a Bayesian optimal estimation framework for estimating the user-RIS-BS cascaded channel to tackle with the information loss caused by quantization. To implement the estimator and achieve the matrix completion, we use efficient bilinear generalized approximate message passing (BiG-AMP) algorithm. Extensive simulation results verify that our proposed method can accurately estimate the cascaded channel for the RIS-aided mmWave massive MIMO system with low-resolution ADCs.

In this paper, we propose a new application of IRS for device-free target sensing via joint location and orientation estimation. In particular, different from the existing works that use IRS as an additional anchor node for localization/sensing, we consider mounting IRS on the sensing target, whereby estimating the IRS's location and orientation as that of the target by leveraging IRS's controllable signal reflection. To this end, we first propose a tensor-based method to acquire essential angle information between the IRS and the sensing transmitter as well as a set of distributed sensing receivers. Next, based on the estimated angle information, we formulate two optimization problems to estimate the location and orientation of the IRS/target, respectively, and obtain the locally optimal solutions to them by invoking two iterative algorithms, namely, gradient descent method and manifold optimization. In particular, we show that the orientation estimation problem admits a closed-form solution in a special case that usually holds in practice. Furthermore, theoretical analysis is conducted to draw essential insights into the proposed sensing system design and performance. Simulation results verify our theoretical analysis and demonstrate that the proposed methods can achieve high estimation accuracy which is close to the theoretical bound.

The data samples used correspond to an integrated luminosity of $17.9\,{\rm fb}^{-1}$ and were collected by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. Three enhancements around 4.20, 4.47 and 4.67 GeV are visible. The resonances have masses of $4209.6\pm4.7\pm5.9\,{\rm MeV}/c^{2}$, $4469.1\pm26.2\pm3.6\,{\rm MeV}/c^{2}$ and $4675.3\pm29.5\pm3.5\,{\rm MeV}/c^{2}$ and widths of $81.6\pm17.8\pm9.0\,{\rm MeV}$, $246.3\pm36.7\pm9.4\,{\rm MeV}$, and $218.3\pm72.9\pm9.3\,{\rm MeV}$, respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. The first and third resonances are consistent with the $ψ(4230)$ and $ψ(4660)$ states, respectively, while the second one is compatible with the $ψ(4500)$ observed in the $e^{+}e^{-}\to K^{+}K^{-}J/ψ$ process. These three charmoniumlike $ψ$ states are observed in $e^{+}e^{-}\to D^{*0}D^{*-}π^{+}$ process for the first time.

Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) has been widely utilized to study the motor deficits and rehabilitation following stroke. In particular, functional connectivity(FC) analyses with fMRI at rest can be employed to reveal the neural connectivity rationale behind this post-stroke motor function impairment and recovery. However, the methods and findings have not been summarized in a review focusing on post-stroke functional connectivity analysis. In this context, we broadly review the static functional connectivity network analysis (SFC) and dynamic functional connectivity network analysis (DFC) for post-stroke motor dysfunction patients, aiming to provide method guides and the latest findings regarding post-stroke motor function recovery. Specifically, a brief overview of the SFC and DFC methods for fMRI analysis is provided, along with the preprocessing and denoising procedures that go into these methods. Following that, the current status of research in functional connectivity networks for post-stoke patients under these two views was synthesized individually. Results show that SFC is the most frequent post-stroke functional connectivity analysis method. The SFC findings demonstrate that the stroke lesion reduces FC between motor areas, and the FC increase positively correlates with functional recovery. Meanwhile, the current DFC analysis in post-stroke has just been uncovered as the tip of the iceberg of its prospect, and its exceptionally rapidly progressing development can be expected.

The last few decades have witnessed an emerging trend of wearable soft sensors; however, there are important signal-processing challenges for soft sensors that still limit their practical deployment. They are error-prone when displaced, resulting in significant deviations from their ideal sensor output. In this work, we propose a novel prototype that integrates an elbow pad with a sparse network of soft sensors. Our prototype is fully bio-compatible, stretchable, and wearable. We develop a learning-based method to predict the elbow orientation angle and achieve an average tracking error of 9.82 degrees for single-user multi-motion experiments. With transfer learning, our method achieves the average tracking errors of 10.98 degrees and 11.81 degrees across different motion types and users, respectively. Our core contributions lie in a solution that realizes robust and stable human joint motion tracking across different device displacements.

In this paper, we define a Lagrange-like spectrum of the perfect additive complements ($\mathfrak{L} $ for short). As a main result, we obtain the smallest accumulation point of the set $\mathfrak{L} $ and prove that the set $\mathfrak{L} $ is closed. Other related results and problems are also contained.

In this measurement the charged pions from $K_S^0$ meson decays are excluded.
