Based on HXMT observations of EXO 2030+375 during its 2021 giant outburst, we report the analysis of pulse variations and the broadband X-ray spectrum, and find the presence of a potential cyclotron resonant scattering feature with the fundamental line at 47 keV from both average spectra and phase-resolved spectroscopy. During the outburst, the source reached an X-ray luminosity of $\sim 1\times 10^{38}$ erg /cm/s from 2-105 keV at a distance of 7.1 kpc. The X-ray pulsar at the spin period of 41.27 seconds exhibits complex timing and spectral variations with both energy and luminosity during the outburst. The shapes of the pulses profiles show the single main peak above 20 keV, while appear to exhibit multi-peak patterns in low energy bands, and the transition of pulse profiles from multi-peak to single-peak is observed at $0.8\times 10^{38}$ erg /cm/s, which suggests the evolution from the subcritical luminosity (pencil-beam dominated) to supercritical luminosity (fan-beam dominated) regimes. A dip structure before the energy of the cyclotron resonant scattering features is found in the pulse fraction-energy relation near the peak luminosity. A detailed analysis of spectral parameters showed that the power-law photon index exhibits three distinct trends as luminosity increases, and these changes also signify a spectral transition from sub-critical to super-critical regimes. The critical luminosity infers the magnetic field of $(4.8-6.0)\times 10^{12}$ G, which supports the presence of the cyclotron line at 47 keV. A Comptonization model applied for the broad X-ray spectra during the outburst also suggests the surface magnetic field ranging from $(5-9)\times 10^{12}$ G.

We report the orbital X-ray variability of high mass X-ray binary (HMXB) GX301--2. GX301--2 undergone a spin up process in 2018--2020 with the period evolving from $\sim$ 685 s to 670 s. The energy resolved pulse-profiles of the pulsar in 1--60 keV varied from single peaked and sinusoidal shapes to multi-peaked across different orbital phases. Pulse fractions evolving over orbit had negative correlations with the X-ray flux. The broad-band X-ray energy spectrum of the pulsar can be described with a partial covering negative positive cutoff power-law continuum model. Near the periastron passage of the pulsar we found a strong variation in the additional column density ($NH_{2}$), which correlated with variation of the flux. Curves of growth for both Fe K$α$ and Fe K$β$ lines were plotted to investigate the distribution of matter around neutron star. We have also found the evidence of two cyclotron absorption lines in the phase-averaged spectra in GX301--2, with one line of 30--42 keV and the other line varying in 48--56 keV. Both two line's centroid energies show the similar relationship with X-ray luminosity: positive correlation in lower luminosity range, and negative relation above a critical luminosity of $10^{37}$ erg s$^{-1}$. We estimated the surface magnetic field of the neutron star in GX301--2 at ~$(0.5-2)\times 10^{13}$ G. Two cyclotron line energies have a nearly fixed ratio of ~1.63 while having a low strength ratio (~0.05), suggesting that these two features may actually be one line.

GRO J1008-57, as a Be/X-ray transient pulsar, is considered to have the highest magnetic field in known neutron star X-ray binary systems. Observational data of the X-ray outbursts in GRO J1008-57 from 2017 to 2020 were collected by the Insight-HXMT satellite. In this work, the spin period of the neutron star in GRO J1008-57 was determined to be about 93.28 seconds in August 2017, 93.22 seconds in February 2018, 93.25 seconds in June 2019 and 93.14 seconds in June 2020. GRO J1008-57 evolved in the spin-up process with a mean rate of $-(2.10\pm 0.05)\times$10$^{-4}$ s/d from 2009 -- 2018, and turned into a spin down process with a rate of $(6.7\pm 0.6)\times$10$^{-5}$ s/d from Feb 2018 to June 2019. During the type II outburst of 2020, GRO J1008-57 had the spin-up torque again. During the torque reversals, the pulse profiles and continuum X-ray spectra did not change significantly, and the cyclotron resonant scattering feature around 80 keV was only detected during the outbursts in 2017 and 2020. Based on the observed mean spin-up rate, we estimated the inner accretion disk radius in GRO J1008-57 (about 1 - 2 times of the Alfvén radius) by comparing different accretion torque models of magnetic neutron stars. During the spin-down process, the magnetic torque should dominate over the matter accreting inflow torque, and we constrained the surface dipole magnetic field $B\geq 6\times 10^{12}$ G for the neutron star in GRO J1008-57, which is consistent with the magnetic field strength obtained by cyclotron line centroid energy.

We present the results obtained from analysis of two AstroSat observations of the high mass X-ray binary pulsar OAO 1657-415. The observations covered 0.681-0.818 and 0.808-0.968 phases of the $\sim$10.4 day orbital period of the system, in March and July 2019, respectively. Despite being outside the eclipsing regime, the power density spectrum from the first observation lacks any signature of pulsation or quasi-periodic oscillations. However, during July observation, X-ray pulsations at a period of 37.0375 s were clearly detected in the light curves. The pulse profiles from the second observation consist of a broad single peak with a dip-like structure in the middle across the observed energy range. We explored evolution of the pulse profile in narrow time and energy segments. We detected pulsations in the light curves obtained from 0.808--0.92 orbital phase range, which is absent in the remaining part of the observation. The spectrum of OAO 1657-415 can be described by an absorbed power-law model along with an iron fluorescent emission line and a blackbody component for out-of-eclipse phase of the observation. Our findings are discussed in the frame of stellar wind accretion and accretion wake at late orbital phases of the binary.

We present the results obtained from timing and spectral studies of Be/X-ray binary pulsar EXO 2030+375 using observations with the Large Area Xenon Proportional Counters and Soft X-ray Telescope of AstroSat, at various phases of its Type-I outbursts in 2016, 2018, and 2020. The pulsar was faint during these observations as compared to earlier observations with other observatories. At the lowest luminosity of 2.5$\times$10$^{35}$ erg s$^{-1}$ in 0.5--30 keV energy range, $\approx$41.3 s pulsations were clearly detected in the X-ray light curves. This finding establishes the first firm detection of pulsations in EXO 2030+375 at an extremely low mass accretion rate to date. The shape of the pulse profiles is complex due to the presence of several narrow dips. Though pulsations were detected up to $\sim$80 keV when the source was brighter, pulsations were limited up to $\sim$25 keV during the third AstroSat observation at lowest source luminosity. A search for quasi-periodic oscillations in 2$\times$10$^{-4}$ Hz to 10 Hz yielded a negative result. Spectral analysis of the AstroSat data showed that the spectrum of the pulsar was steep with a power-law index of $\sim$2. The values of photon-indices at observed low luminosities follow the known pattern in sub-critical regime of the pulsar.

We present the results obtained from timing and spectral studies of the accretion powered X-ray pulsar 2S~1417-624 during a giant outburst in 2009 by using {\it Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer (RXTE)} observations. X-ray pulsations were detected in the light curves obtained from all epochs of observations. The pulsar was found to be spinning-up during the outburst. The pulse profiles were observed to be strongly dependent on photon energy and luminosity. A double peaked profile at lower luminosity evolved into a triple peaked profile at the peak of the outburst which is further reverted back to a double peaked structure during the decay of the outburst. An anti-correlation was also observed between the pulse fraction and the source flux. The 3-70 keV energy spectrum of pulsar was well described with a power law modified with high energy cutoff model along with an iron fluorescence line at 6.4 keV. Based on the evolution of pulse profile, pulse fraction and spectral parameters across observed luminosity, we interpret our results in terms of changes in the pulsar beam configuration from sub-critical to super-critical regimes.
