Abstract:
Light curve modeling for the newly discovered system 1SWASP J092328.76+435044 was carried out by using a new BVR complete light curves. A spotted model was applied to treat the asymmetry of the light curves. The output model was obtained by means of Wilson-Devinney code, which reveals that the massive component is hotter than the less massive one with about ΔT ~ 400K. A total of 8 new times of min…

The accepted orbital solution reveals that the primary component of is more massive and hotter than the secondary one by about 280K. The system is an over-contact one with fillout ratio ~ 29% and is located at a distance of 195 Pc. The evolutionary status of the system is investigated by means of stellar models and empirical data.

Our analysis was carried out by means of the most recent version of Wilson Devinney (WD) code, which applies the model atmosphere by Kurucz (1993) with prescription in pass band for the radiative treatment. The accepted light curve solutions reveal absolute physical parameters and the spectral classifications for the components are adopted. Distance to each system was calculated based on the parameters of the accepted photometric solutions. Comparison with the evolutionary models are presented.

A photometric solution of these light curves was obtained by means of Willson-Devinney code. The results showed that the low massive component is hotter than the more massive and cool one, and the temperature difference between the components is Delta T = 249 K. Long term investigation for the period behavior of the system based on all available data shows two stages of increase and similar of decrease, which look like as a periodic behavior. A new light elements yields a new period (p= 0.3171506 day) and shows a period decrease with the rate dP/dE = 5.858*10^(-12) day/cycle or 6.742*10^(-9) day/year or 0.1 second/century. The evolutionary status of the system is discussed.

The observed light curves were analyzed using the 2009 version of the Wilson-Devinney code. The results show that the more massive component is hotter than the low massive one by 99 K. A long term orbital period study shows that the period increases by the rate 8.946*10^(-11) day/cycle. Evolutionary state of the system has been investigated and showed that, the primary component of the system is located nearly on the ZAMS for both the M-L and M-R relations. The secondary component is close to the TAMS track for M-L and above the M-R relations.

In the present article, we study the properties of the condensed matter in white dwarfs using Newtonian and relativistic polytropic fluid sphere. Two polytropic indices (namely n=3 and n=1.5) are proposed to investigate the physical characteristics of the models. We solve the Lane-Emden equations numerically.. The results show that the relativistic effect is small in white dwarf stars.

Radial velocity analysis have suggested low eccentric orbit (e=0.002) at inclination (i=81.89+-2.34) and with 4d.01422 peri…

Spectral analysis are based on two spectral lines H(alpha) and HeI 6678 belong to H(alpha) region. Radial velocity analysis have suggested low eccentric orbit (e=0.002) at inclination (i=81.89+-2.34) and with 4d.01422 period, semi-amplitude k1=100 km/s, mass ratio q=0.49+-0.05 and mass function f(m) =0.547. Using KOREL program for spectrum disentangling we have been able to decompose the spectrum of the system to its primary and secondary components. Synthetic spectral analysis of both the individual and disentangled spectra has been performed and yielded effective temperatures Teff= 25000+-250 K, surface gravities log g=3.75+-0.25 and projected rotational velocities (v sin i= 180+-5 km/s) for the primary, while for the secondary they are Teff = 17000+-250 K, log g = 4.0+-0.25.

Complex period variations of five W UMa type binaries (AB And, OO Aql, DK Cyg, V566 Oph, U Peg) were investigated by analyzing their O--C diagrams, and several common features were found. Four of the five systems show secular period variations at a constant rate on the order of |dP / dt 1/P | ~ 10E-7 1/yr. In the case of AB And, OO Aql, and U Peg a high-amplitude, nearly one-century long quasi-sinusoidal pattern was also found. It might be explained as light-time effect, or by some magnetic phenomena, although the mathematical, and consequently the physical, parameters of these fits are very problematic, as the obtained periods are very close to the length of the total data range. The most interesting feature of the studied O--C diagrams is a low amplitude (2-4 x 10E-3 d) modulation with a period around 18--20 yr in four of the five cases. This phenomenon might be indirect evidence of some magnetic cycle in late-type overcontact binaries as an analog to the observed activity cycles in RS CVn systems.
