Boron neutron capture therapy is about a century old, but still current and active. In this treatment, a high absorption cross-section of boron is used for thermal neutrons and the excited state is decomposed into alpha and lithium ions. These daughter particles have a high LET value and transfer their energy to the surrounding cells. In this work, the neutron generator DD-110 is the neutron source of the treatment mode. Since the neutron generator produces fast neutrons, these must be thermalized to the energy range of the epithermal neutrons. The beam sha** assembly is used for this purpose. The effectiveness of the system is analyzed using in-air and in-phantom parameters. The system provides an acceptable ratio of thermal to epithermal flux, gamma dose to epithermal flux and beam collimation. However, the epithermal flux and the ratio of fast neutron dose to epithermal flux need to be further improved. This can be achieved by improving the performance of the neutron generator to 2E13 n/sec. The entire system is modeled and simulated with the MCNPX code.

The present research explores the effects of Percentage Fe incorporation on the structure and antibacterial activity of Fe ZSM 5. Silica extracted from local rice husk straw (white particles) by applying NaOH and HCl solutions for consecutive chemical treatment was used for hydrothermal synthesis of FeZSM 5 with constant Si(Fe plus Al) ratios. The chemical and physical changes of ZSM 5 and Fe ZSM 5 surfaces were investigated by X ray diffraction analysis (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), UV Vis spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and pore structure analysis by N2 adsorption at 196 . XRD analysis revealed the typical ZSM 5 structure with new diffraction lines attributed to the iron silicate phase. FTIR spectral analysis of ZSM 5 samples containing iron display a new band at 656 cm that is ascribed to the SiOFe group. The antibacterial activity of such coatings towards different kinds of bacteria, such as S. pneumonia, B. subtilis, E. coli and P. aeruginosa, and fungi, such as A. fumigatus and C. albicans, for investigated ZSM 5 and Fe (20 and 100 percentages) samples showed selective antibacterial actions.

Evaluation the prediction of Efficiency index by DVH parameter for SRS treatment plans using Supervised Machine learning and the performance of predictive model algorithms of RapidMiner GO in the parameter prediction are investigated. Dose volume histogram (DVH) based Efficiency index was calculated for 100 clinical SRS plans generated by Leksell Gamma plan, and the results were compared to predicted values produced by machine learning toolbox of RapidMiner Go, algorithms are namely, Generalized linear model (GLR), Decision Tree Model, Support Vector Machine (SVM), Gradient Boosted Trees (GBT), Random Forest (RF) and Deep learning Model (DL). Root mean square error (RMSE), Average absolute error, Absolute relative error, squared correlation and model building time were determined to evaluate the performance of each algorithm. The GLR algorithm model had square correlation of 0.974 with the smallest RMSE of 0.01, relatively high prediction speed, and fast model building time with 2.812 s, according to the results. The RMSE values for all models were between 0.01 upto 0.021, all algorithms performed well. The RMSE of the Gradient Boosted Tree, Random Forest, and Decision Tree regression algorithms was found to be greater than 0.01, suggesting that they are not appropriate for predicting EI in this analysis. RapidMiner GO machine learning models can be used to predict DVH parameters like EI in SRS treatment planning QA. To effectively evaluate the parameter, it is necessary to choose a suitable machine learning algorithm.
