Larmor Power Limit for Cyclotron Radiation of Relativistic Particles in a Waveguide
Abstract: Cyclotron radiation emission spectroscopy (CRES) is a modern technique for high-precision energy spectroscopy, in which the energy of a charged particle in a magnetic field is measured via the frequency of the emitted cyclotron radiation. The He6-CRES collaboration aims to use CRES to probe beyond the standard model physics at the TeV scale by performing high-resolution and low-background beta-dec… ▽ More

Sequential convergence of a solution to the Chern--Simons--Schrodinger equation
Abstract: In this paper we prove a sequential convergence result for blowup solutions to the $m$-equivariant, self-dual Chern--Simons--Schr{ö}dinger equation. We show that if $u$ has mass less than twice the mass of the soliton, a blowup solution converges to the soliton along a subsequence of times that converges to the blowup time.

Global well-posedness and scattering for the defocusing, $L^{2}$-critical, nonlinear Schr{ö}dinger equation when $d \geq 3$
Abstract: In this paper we prove that the defocusing, $d$-dimensional mass critical nonlinear Schr{ö}dinger initial value problem is globally well-posed and scattering for $u_{0} \in L^{2}(\mathbf{R}^{d})$ and $d \geq 3$. To do this, we will prove a frequency localized interaction Morawetz estimate similar to the estimate made in [10]. Since we are considering an $L^{2}$ - critical initial value problem we… ▽ More

Global well-posedness for the defocusing, quintic nonlinear Schrödinger equation in one dimension
Abstract: In this paper, we prove global well-posedness for low regularity data for the one dimensional quintic defocusing nonlinear Schrödinger equation. We show that a unique solution exists for $u_{0} \in H^{s}(\mathbf{R})$, $s > {8/29}$. This improves the result in [13], which proved global well-posedness for $s > {1/3}$. The main new argument is that we obtain almost Morawetz estimates with improved… ▽ More

Global well-posedness for the defocusing, cubic, nonlinear Schrodinger equation when n = 3 via a linear-nonlinear decomposition
Abstract: In this paper, we prove global well-posedness and scattering for the defocusing, cubic nonlinear Schr{ö}dinger equation in three dimensions when $n = 3$ when $u_{0} \in H^{s}(\mathbf{R}^{3})$, $s > 3/4$. To this end, we utilize a linear-nonlinear decomposition, similar to the decomposition used in [12] for the wave equation.

Almost Morawetz estimates and global well-posedness for the defocusing $L^2$-critical nonlinear Schr{ö}dinger equation in higher dimensions
Abstract: In this paper, we consider the global well-posedness of the defocusing, $L^{2}$ - critical nonlinear Schr{ö}dinger equation in dimensions $n \geq 3$. Using the I-method, we show the problem is globally well-posed in $n = 3$ when $s > {2/5}$, and when $n \geq 4$, for $s > \frac{n - 2}{n}$. We combine energy increments for the I-method, interaction Morawetz estimates, and almost Morawetz estimates… ▽ More
