Building footprint segmentations for high resolution images are increasingly demanded for many remote sensing applications. By the emerging deep learning approaches, segmentation networks have made significant advances in the semantic segmentation of objects. However, these advances and the increased access to satellite images require the generation of accurate object boundaries in satellite images. In the current paper, we propose a novel network-based on Pix2Pix methodology to solve the problem of inaccurate boundaries obtained by converting satellite images into maps using segmentation networks in order to segment building footprints. To define the new network named G2G, our framework includes two generators where the first generator extracts localization features in order to merge them with the boundary features extracted from the second generator to segment all detailed building edges. Moreover, different strategies are implemented to enhance the quality of the proposed networks' results, implying that the proposed network outperforms state-of-the-art networks in segmentation accuracy with a large margin for all evaluation metrics. The implementation is available at https://github.com/A2Amir/A-Novel-Adaptive-Deep-Network-for-Building-Footprint-Segmentation.

The existence and uniqueness issue of the nonlinear Abel integral equations is studied completely. An $hp$-version collocation method in conjunction with Jacobi polynomials is introduced so as an appropriate numerical solution to be found. We analyze it properly and find an error estimation in $L^2$-norm. The efficiency of the method is illustrated by some numerical experiments.

In this paper, we study the existence, regularity, and approximation of the solution for a class of nonlinear fractional differential equations. {In order to do this}, suitable variational formulations are defined for a nonlinear boundary value problems with Riemann-Liouville and Caputo fractional derivatives together with the homogeneous Dirichlet condition. We {investigate} the well-posedness and also the regularity of the corresponding weak solutions. Then, we develop a Galerkin finite element approach {\color{blue}for} the numerical approximation of the weak formulations and {drive a priori error estimates and prove the stability of the schemes}. Finally, some numerical experiments are provided to {demonstrate} the accuracy of the proposed method.

This paper presents a direct numerical scheme to approximate the solution of all classes of nonlinear Volterra integral equations of the first kind. This computational method is based on operational matrices and vectors. The operational vector for hybrid block pulse functions and Chebyshev polynomials is constructed. The scheme transforms the integral equation to a matrix equation and solves it with a careful estimate of the error involved. The main characteristic of the scheme is the low cost of setting up the equations without using any projection method which is the consequence of using operational vectors. Simple structure to implement, low computational cost and perfect approximate solutions are the major points of the presented method.
Error analysis and comparisons with other existing schemes demonstrate the efficiency and the superiority of our scheme.
