On the $k$-torsion of the module of differentials of order $n$ of hypersurfaces
Abstract: We characterize the $k$-torsion freeness of the module of differentials of order $n$ of a point of a hypersurface in terms of the singular locus of the corresponding local ring.

Betti numbers of symmetric shifted ideals
Abstract: We introduce a new class of monomial ideals which we call symmetric shifted ideals. Symmetric shifted ideals are fixed by the natural action of the symmetric group and, within the class of monomial ideals fixed by this action, they can be considered as an analogue of stable monomial ideals within the class of monomial ideals. We show that a symmetric shifted ideal has linear quotients and compute… ▽ More

On the extremal Betti numbers of the binomial edge ideal of closed graphs
Abstract: We study the equality of the extremal Betti numbers of the binomial edge ideal $J_G$ and those of its initial ideal ${\rm in}(J_G)$ of a closed graph $G$. We prove that in some cases there is an unique extremal Betti number for ${\rm in}(J_G)$ and as a consequence there is an unique extremal Betti number for $J_G$ and these extremal Betti numbers are equal

Independence and matching numbers of some token graphs
Abstract: Let $G$ be a graph of order $n$ and let $k\in\{1,\ldots,n-1\}$. The $k$-token graph $F_k(G)$ of $G$, is the graph whose vertices are the $k$-subsets of $V(G)$, where two vertices are adjacent in $F_k(G)$ whenever their symmetric difference is an edge of $G$. We study the independence and matching numbers of $F_k(G)$. We present a tight lower bound for the matching number of $F_k(G)$ for the case i… ▽ More

Cohen-Macaulayness of triangular graphs
Abstract: We study the Cohen-Macaulay property of triangular graphs $T_n$. We show that $T_2$, $T_3$ and $T_5$ are Cohen-Macaulay graphs, and that $T_4$, $T_6$, $T_8$ and $T_n$ are not Cohen-Macaulay graphs, for $n\geq 10$. Finally, we prove that over fields of characteristic zero $T_7$ and $T_9$ are Cohen-Macaulay.
