Rings Whose Non-Invertible Elements Are Nil-Clean
Abstract: We systematically study those rings whose non-units are a sum of an idempotent and a nilpotent. Some crucial characteristic properties are completely described as well as some structural results for this class of rings are obtained. This work somewhat continues two publications on the subject due to Diesl (J. Algebra, 2013) and Karimi-Mansoub et al. (Contemp. Math., 2018).

Generalizing pi-regular rings
Abstract: We introduce the class weakly nil clean rings, as rings R in which for every a\in R there exist an idempotent e and a nilpotent q such that a-e-q\in eRa. Every weakly nil clean ring is exchange. Weakly nil clean rings contain pi-regular rings as a proper subclass, and these two classes coincide in the case of central idempotents. Every weakly nil clean ring of bounded index and every weakly nil cl… ▽ More

Nil-clean matrix rings
Abstract: We characterize the nil clean matrix rings over fields. As a by product, it is proved that the full matrix rings with coefficients in commutative nil-clean rings are nil-clean, and we obtain a complete characterization of the finite rank Abelian groups with nil clean endomorphism ring and the Abelian groups with strongly nil clean endomorphism ring, respectively.

Characteristic properties of large subgroups in primary abelian groups
Abstract: Suppose $G$ is an arbitrary additively written primary abelian group with a fixed large subgroup $L$. It is shown that $G$ is (a) summable; (b) $σ$-summable;\break (c) a $Σ$-group; (d) $p^{ω+1}$-projective only when so is $L$. These claims extend results of such a kind obtained by Benabdallah, Eisenstadt, Irwin and Poluianov, {\it Acta Math. Acad. Sci. Hungaricae} (1970) and Khan, {\it Proc. Ind… ▽ More
