In this work, we have established the relations between the T-even proton transverse momentum-dependent parton distributions (TMDs) at all twist levels up to twist-4 using the light-front quark diquark model (LFQDM). From the parameterization equations of TMDs, we have found that there are multiple ways by which a particular TMD can be expressed in terms of the helicities of the proton in the initial and final states. For the first time, we have presented a parameterization table that can be applied to the derivation and recognition of proton TMDs based on their helicity. We have constructed the linear and quadratic relationships of TMDs at the intra-twist and inter-twist levels within the same model. We have also looked at the inequality relations that TMDs follow. Additionally, to provide an easy access to the calculations, amplitude matrices have been expressed in the form of TMDs over all the possible helicities of the diquark.

We have investigated the spin-orbital angular momentum correlations for the active quark inside the light and heavy mesons for both the spin-0 and spin-1 cases. These correlations can be derived from the generalised transverse momentum dependent distributions (GTMDs) as well as the generalised parton distributions (GPDs). We employ the overlap representation of light-front wave functions in the light-front quark model (LFQM) to calculate our analytical results. The dependence of spin-orbit correlations (SOCs) on the longitudinal momentum fraction $x$ as well as the transverse momentum dependence $\mathbf{k}_{\perp}$ has been graphically presented. Even though the SOCs have already been studied for the spin-0 pions and kaons in other approaches, no calculations for the other light and heavy spin-0 mesons have been reported in literature. Further, the correlations for any of the light and heavy spin-1 mesons have been studied for the first time in the present work.

In the present work we study the masses and magnetic moments of decuplet baryons in isospin asymmetric strange hadronic medium at finite temperature using chiral SU(3) quark mean field model. In the strange isospin asymmetric medium, the properties of baryons in chiral SU(3) mean field model are modified through the exchange of scalar fields $σ$, $ζ$ and $δ$ and the vector fields $ω$, $ρ$ and $φ$. The scalar-isovector field $δ$ and the vector-isovector field $ρ$ signifies the finite isospin asymmetry of the medium. We calculate the in-medium constituent quark masses and masses of decuplet baryons in asymmetric strange matter within the chiral SU(3) quark mean field model and use these as input in the constituent chiral quark model to calculate the in-medium magnetic moments of decuplet baryons for different values of isospin asymmetry and strangeness fraction of hot and dense medium. For calculating the magnetic moments of baryons, contributions of valence quarks, quark sea and orbital angular momentum of quark sea are considered in the calculations.

By integrating across the light-cone energy, totally unintegrated, off-diagonal quark-quark generalized parton correlation functions (GPCFs) can yield generalized transverse-momentum dependent parton distributions (GTMDs). We have obtained the twist-4 GTMDs for the case of proton in the light-front quark-diquark model (LFQDM). We have decoded the quark-quark GTMD correlator for proton and solved the parametrization equations for Dirac matrix structure at twist-4. We have derived the explicit equations of GTMDs for the diquark being scalar or vector leading to the results for the struck quark being a $u$ or $d$ quark. Being a multidimensional function, the dependence is studied with two variables at a time, kee** the others fixed. Transverse-momentum dependent form factors (TMFFs) have been obtained from GTMDs via integration over the longitudinal momentum fraction $x$ of the quark. We have debated over the possibility to specify the initial and final state polarizations of the smacked quark and the nucleon in twist-4 GTMDs as well as the Wigner distributions. Additionally, from twist-4 GTMDs, we have deduced the twist-4 T-even TMDs and found its synchronization with the already published results.

The structural interpretation of baryons carrying different amount of strange content has been exemplified by employing a quark-scalar diquark model for studying the Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs) among the members of octet baryons. Different possible combinations of quark-scalar diquark pairs have been considered. The quark helicity independent chiral even GPDs in momentum as well as impact parameter space have been studied for purely transverse momentum transfer (zero skewness). We have also extended our calculations to explore and visualize the distinct behavior of charge distributions in coordinate space as well as charge densities in impact parameter space. Together, they predict remarkably well the light, heavy-light and heavy-heavy meson spectroscopic data. The universal emerging hadronic scale of light-front holography, $κ\approx 0.5$ GeV, controls the transverse dynamics of confinement in all mesons. In heavy-heavy mesons, it also coincides numerically with the 't Hooft coupling which governs longitudinal confinement, thus reflecting the restoration of manifest 3-dimensional rotational symmetry

By using the Fock-state overlap representation, the Wigner distributions of an unpolarized, longitudinally polarized and transversely polarized quark inside the pion are calculated. We have presented the results of transverse Wigner distributions in impact-parameter space as well as in momentum space. In order to understand the role of skewness which gives the longitudinal momentum transfer between the quarks, we study the six-dimensional phase-space distribution: the generalized transverse momentum dependent parton distributions of pion for the case of zero skewness as well as for nonzero value of skewness.

We investigate the various distributions explaining multi-dimensional structure of kaon at the level of its constituents ($u$ and $\bar{s}$) using the light-cone quark model. The overlap form of wavefunctions associated with the light-cone quark model is adopted for the calculations. The generalized parton distributions(GPDs)of $u$ and $\bar{s}$ quarks are presented for the case when the momentum transfer in the longitudinal direction is non-zero. The dependence of kaon GPDs is studied in terms of variation of quark longitudinal momentum fraction, momentum transfer in longitudinal direction and total momentum transfer to the final state of hadron. The transverse impact-parameter dependent GPDs are also studied by taking the Fourier transformation of general GPDs. Further, the quantum phase-space distributions; Wigner distributions are studied for the case of unpolarized, longitudinally-polarized and transversely-polarized parton in an unpolarized kaon. The Wigner distributions are analysed in the transverse impact-parameter plane, the transverse momentum plane and the mixed plane. Further, to get a complete picture of kaon in terms of its valence quarks, the variation of longitudinal momentum fraction carried by quark and antiquark in the generalized transverse momentum-dependent parton distributions (GTMDs) is studied for different values of transverse quark and antiquark momentum $({\bf k}_\perp)$ as well as for different values of momentum transferred to the kaon in transverse direction $({\bf Δ}_\perp)$. This has been done for zero as well as non-zero skewedness representing respectively the absence and presence of momentum transfer to the final state of kaon in longitudinal direction. Furthermore, the possible spin-orbit correlation for $u$ and $\bar{s}$ in kaon is elaborated in context of Wigner distributions and GTMDs.

We first compute the mass spectra of ground state pseudoscalar and vector light and heavy mesons and fix the model parameters necessary for the analysis, applying the variational principle with the trial wave function up to the first three lowest order harmonic oscillator (HO) wave functions $Φ(x, \textbf{k}_\bot) = \sum_{n=1}^{3} c_n φ_{nS}$. We then obtain the numerical results for the corresponding decay constants of light and heavy mesons. We estimate the DAs, analyze their variation as a function of momentum fraction and compute the first six $ξ$-moments of the $B$ and $D$ mesons as well. We compare our results with the available experimental data as well as with the other theoretical model predictions.

The contributions coming from the valence quarks, quark sea and the orbital angular momentum of the quark sea have been considered to calculate magnetic moment of decuplet baryons. The decuplet baryon masses decrease, whereas, the magnetic moments increase significantly with the rise of baryonic density of the symmetric nuclear medium. This is because of the reason that constituent quark magnetic moment and the quark spin polarizations show considerable variation in the nuclear medium especially in the low temperature and baryonic density regime.
The increase is however quantitatively less as compared to the case of octet baryon members.

In light of the improved precision of the experimental measurements and enormous theoretical progress, the nucleon form factors have been evaluated with an aim to understand how the static properties and dynamical behavior of nucleons emerge from the theory of strong interactions between quarks. We have analysed the vector and axial-vector nucleon form factors ($G^{p,n}_{E,M}(Q^2)$ and $G^{p,n}_{A}(Q^2)$) using the spin observables in the chiral constituent quark model ($χ$CQM) which has made a significant contribution to the unraveling of the internal structure of the nucleon in the nonperturbative regime. We have also presented a comprehensive analysis of the flavor decomposition of the form factors ($G^{q}_{E}(Q^2)$, $G^{q}_{M}(Q^2)$ and $G^{q}_{A}(Q^2)$for $q=u,d,s$) within the framework of $χ$CQM with emphasis on the extraction of the strangeness form factors which are fundamental to determine the spin structure and test the chiral symmetry breaking effects in the nucleon. The $Q^2$ dependence of the vector and axial-vector form factors of the nucleon has been studied using the conventional dipole form of parametrization. The results are in agreement with the available experimental data.

The chiral constituent quark model ($χ$CQM), which is known to provide a satisfactory explanation of the proton spin crisis and related issues in the nonperturbative regime, has been used to compute explicitly the valence and sea quark flavor distribution functions of $p$ and $n$. In light of the improved precision of the world data, the $p$ and $n$ longitudinal spin asymmetries ($A_1^p(x)$ and $A_1^n(x)$) have been calculated. The implication of the presence of the sea quarks has been discussed for ratio of polarized to unpolarized quark distribution functions for up and down quarks in the $p$ and $n$ $\frac{Δu^p(x)}{u^p(x)}$, $\frac{Δd^p(x)}{d^p(x)}$, $\frac{Δu^n(x)}{u^n(x)}$, and $\frac{Δd^n(x)}{d^n(x)}$. The ratio of the $n$ and $p$ structure functions $R^{np}(x)=\frac{F_2^n(x)}{F_2^p(x)}$ has also been presented. The results have been compared with the recent available experimental observations. Since the $J^P=\frac{3}{2}^+$ decuplet baryons have short lifetimes, the experimental information about them is limited. The $χ$CQM has important implications for chiral symmetry breaking as well as SU(3) symmetry breaking since it works in the region between the QCD confinement scale and the chiral symmetry breaking scale. The predictions in the model not only give a satisfactory fit when compared with the experimental data but also show improvement over the other models. The effect of the confinement on quark masses has also been discussed in detail and the results of $χ$CQM are found to improve further with the inclusion of effective quark masses.

The meson-baryon sigma terms $σ_{πB}$, $σ_{K B}$, and $σ_{ηB}$ for the case of $N$, $Σ$ and $Ξ$ baryons have also been calculated. The results have been compared with the recent available experimental observations for the case of $N$ and how the future experiments for $Σ$, $Ξ$ and $Λ$ can provide important constraints to describe the role of non-valence (sea) degrees of freedom has been discussed.

The observed results for the azimuthal single spin asymmetries (SSAs) of the proton, measured in the semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering (SIDIS), can be explained by the final-state interaction (FSI) from the gluon exchange between the outgoing quark and the target spectator system. SSAs require a phase difference between two amplitudes coupling the target with opposite spins to the same final state. We have used the model of light front wave functions (LFWFs) consisting of a spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ system as a composite of a spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ fermion and a spin-1 vector boson to estimate the SSAs. The implications of such a model have been investigated in detail by considering different coupling constants. The FSIs also produce a complex phase which can be included in the LFWFs to calculate the Sivers and Boer-Mulders distribution functions of the nucleon.

We investigate the Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs) in impact parameter space using the explicit light front wave functions (LFWFs) for the two-particle Fock state of the electron in QED. We investigate the Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs) in impact parameter space using the explicit light front wave functions (LFWFs) for the two-particle Fock state of the electron in QED. The Fourier transform (FT) of the GPDs gives the distribution of quarks in the transverse plane for zero longitudinal momentum transfer ($ξ=0$). We study the relationship of the spin flip GPD $E(x,0,-\vecΔ_\perp^2)$ with the distortion of unpolarized quark distribution in the transverse plane when the target nucleon is transversely polarized and also determine the sign of distortion from the sign of anomalous magnetic moment. To verify the sign of distortion, we also compute it directly from the LFWFs by performing a FT in position space coordinate $\vec{f}_\perp$. The explicit relation between the deformation in the two spaces can also be obtained using the convolution integrals. To show the relation of the model LFWFs to a realistic model of nucleon physics, we have designed a specific weight function of our model LFWFs and integrated it over the mass parameter. Also we have simulated the form factor of the nucleon in the AdS/QCD holographic LFWFs model and studied the power-law behaviour at short distances.

We study the spin non-flip $H(x, ζ, t)$ and spin flip $E(x, ζ, t)$ part of GPDs for the particle conserving $n \rightarrow n$ overlap in the DGLAP region $(ζ<x<1)$. The Fourier transform (FT) of the GPDs w.r.t. to the transverse momentum transfer as well the FT of the GPDs w.r.t. $ζ$ have also been obtained giving the distribution of partons in the transverse position space and the distribution in the longitudinal position space respectively. Diffraction pattern is obtained for both $ \mathcal{H}(x,σ,t)$ and $ \mathcal{E}(x,σ,t)$ in the longitudinal position space.

Electromagnetic form factors obtained from the overlap of light front wave functions (LFWFs) have been used to study the transverse densities of charge and magnetization. The calculations have been carried out to develop a relation between the charge distribution of the quarks inside nucleon in the transverse coordinate space as well as in the impact parameter space. When a comparison is carried out, it is found that the transverse distribution in the impact parameter space, where the longitudinal momentum fraction $x$ can be fixed, falls off faster than the spatial distribution in the transverse coordinate space where there is some contribution from the longitudinal momentum as well. The anomalous magnetization density of the nucleon has also been discussed. Further, we have also presented the results of the QCD transverse AdS charge density inspired from the holographic QCD model.

We have calculated the axial-vector form factors of the low lying octet baryons ($N$, $Σ$, $Ξ$ and $Λ$) in the chiral constituent quark model ($χ$CQM). In particular, we have studied the implications of chiral symmetry breaking and SU(3) symmetry breaking for the singlet ($g^0_{A}$) and non-singlet ($g^3_{A}$ and $g^8_{A}$) axial-vector coupling constants expressed as combinations of the spin polarizations at zero momentum transfer. The conventional dipole form of parametrization has been used to analyse the $Q^2$ dependence of the axial-vector form factors ($G^0_{A}(Q^2)$, $G^3_{A}(Q^2)$ and $G^8_{A}(Q^2)$). The total strange singlet and non-singlet contents ($G_s^0(Q^2)$, $G_s^3(Q^2)$ and $G_s^8(Q^2)$) of the nucleon determining the strange quark contribution to the nucleon spin ($Δs$) have also been discussed.
