In the study, analyzes were made for one-dimensional constant acceleration motion using the Arduino microcontroller and distance sensor, using the position and time values obtained for the movement of an object thrown from bottom to top until it falls to the ground. Within the scope of the study, the concepts of displacement, distance traveled, average speed and their relationships, position-time and speed-time graphs and kinematic equations were analyzed respectively. It was observed that all the results obtained from the analyzes were compatible with the theoretical results obtained using the equations. This study, in which innovative experimental activities and comprehensive analyzes for both constant acceleration motion and motion graphs and flight movements are carried out at a very low cost, has a high reproducibility potential as it contains easily accessible materials. With this type of study, it is very important and necessary to add training for 21st century skills such as material development, programming, and data analysis to physics teaching processes in the age of technology.

Two curves are affinely equivalent if there exists an affine map** transforming one of them onto the other. Thus, detecting affine equivalence comprises, as important particular cases, similarity, congruence and symmetry detection. In this paper we generalize previous results by the authors to provide an algorithm for computing the affine equivalences between two parametric curves of certain types, in any dimension. In more detail, the algorithm is valid for rational curves, and for parametric curves with non-rational but meromorphic components admitting a rational inverse. Unlike other algorithms already known for rational curves, the algorithm completely avoids polynomial system solving, and uses bivariate factoring, instead, as a fundamental tool. The algorithm has been implemented in the computer algebra system {\tt Maple}, and can be freely downloaded and used.

Materials to be deployed in space applications have to undergo a variety of different test scenarios, simulating actual space conditions. Among these materials solar photovoltaic cells, optics, meta-materials and more will be directly exposed to space radiation and must be tested accordingly. From the design phase of such target materials to the final production, it is important to obtain information about their behavior and performance in defined irradiation scenarios and qualify them following the directions of relevant ECSS/ESA standards. An excellent method to cover part of these tests in a laboratory scale is the high-flux, high-fluence electron irradiation with the help of industrial electron beam generators. The present collaboration has developed different irradiation test setups and procedures, adapted to the existing electron beam generators at IPF in Dresden, Germany covering an energy range between 100 keV to 1.5 MeV. The test setups, aiming for high electron flux, uniform and large irradiation field sizes, and their capabilities for use in irradiation qualification tests for space applications are described in this paper.

In this study, with the help of the Arduino UNO and Load-cell force sensor, a simple experimental material has been developed to calculate kinetic and static friction coefficients and analyse the friction force in detail. The system with a force sensor mounted on it is placed on the plane. With the help of the rope attached to the force sensor, a force, whose magnitude increased over time, was applied on the sensor. After the force applied was large enough to move the system, the force was applied to move the system at a constant speed. Since the net force acting on the system is zero while the system is stationary and moving with a constant speed, in these cases the magnitudes of force read through the sensor are equal to the static and kinetic friction forces acting on the object. Using these static and kinetic friction forces values, the maximum value of the static friction coefficient and the kinetic friction coefficient were calculated as 0.484 and 0.313, respectively.

During the periods of sudden transition to online education, the opportunity to make applications that might attract students' attention to the course has decreased even more. Although this deficiency was tried to be eliminated with videos and simulations, it was not possible to ensure active participation of students in some cases. In this study, the Algodoo program, which can increase the efficiency of the teaching environment by ensuring active participation of students in online lessons and the applications that can be done about Impulse and momentum are explained in detail. A total of 6 different applications were carried out, 1 related to the subject of impulse, 1 related to the momentum, 2 related to the relationship between impulse and momentum change, and 2 related to momentum conservation. At the same time, while develo** these applications, the adjustments made on the simulation and the reasons are explained in detail. In this way, both the introduction of the program and the sample application suggestion were presented. The values obtained as a result of the applications were calculated and compared both theoretically and on simulation in different ways. As a result, it has been observed that the values have internal consistency with each other and are also compatible with theoretical calculations. Algodoo program, which allows many interactive applications and can be downloaded for free, is a program that can be used both in lecturing and evaluation processes in physics lessons while online education process.

Engineering design of instruments is usually carried out in Computer Aided Design (CAD) engineering software. Geant4-based Monte Carlo codes are extensively used for particle transport simulation and analysis. However, Geant4 is not prepared to accept CAD Standard for The Exchange of Product data (STEP) format. MRADSIM-Converter is a new software for STEP to Geometry Description Markup Language (GDML) format conversion, readable by Geant4-based Monte Carlo codes. Its validation with two different converters confirms its higher speed for importing CAD geometries with arbitrary size and complexity having a user-friendly interface for modifying volumes properties.

Arduino microcontrollers are electronic devices that can be used in physics experiments, and they are both affordable and readily available in comparison to other experimental sets. Students in high school and college can acquire valuable skills through the usage of Arduino in STEM education applications. In this study, two different physics experiments were conducted with a single, easy to develop, experimental setup by using Arduino, a force sensor and a rope-attached metallic sphere. First experiment, involved several analyses such as period, rope tension, and energy conservation during simple harmonic motion. In the second experiment, the metal ball was released from the rope's connecting point, and the impulse acting on it between the times it was released and when it returned to equilibrium was measured. Analyzes performed are in very precise force and time intervals and the results of all analyzes are consistent with the theoretical values. Educational activities in this direction can both create maximum gains for students in STEM fields in limited education periods and contribute to equality of opportunity in education due to its economic nature.

In addition, in terms of the applicability of these materials, it is very important that the materials are affordable and easily accessible. In this study two open ended resonance tube, Computer and speaker for generate sound with different frequencies, Arduino UNO, AR-054 Sound Sensor, Green LED and 220 ohm resistance were used for measure the speed of sound in air at room tempature. With the help of sound sensor, two consecutive harmonic frequency values were determined and the fundamental frequency was calculated. Using the tube features and the fundamental frequency value, the speed of sound propagation in the air at room temperature was calculated as 386.42 m/s. This value is theoretically 346 m/s. This study, in which the propagation speed of the sound is calculated with very low cost and coding studies with 12% error margin, is important in terms of hosting all STEM gains and can be easily applied in classrooms.

We present a new approach using differential invariants to detect projective equivalences and symmetries between two rational parametric $3D$ curves properly parametrized. In order to do this, we introduce two differential invariants that commute with Möbius transformations, which are the transformations in the parameter space associated with the projective equivalences between the curves. The Möbius transformations are found by first computing the gcd of two polynomials built from the differential invariants, and then searching for the Möbius-like factors of this gcd. The projective equivalences themselves are easily computed from the Möbius transformations. In particular, and unlike previous approaches, we avoid solving big polynomial systems. The algorithm has been implemented in Maple, and evidences of its efficiency as well as a comparison with previous approaches are given.

Neutrinoless double beta decay (0v\b{eta}\b{eta}) is considered the best potential resource to access the absolute neutrino mass scale. Moreover, if observed, it will signal that neutrinos are their own anti-particles (Majorana particles). Presently, this physics case is one of the most important research "beyond Standard Model" and might guide the way towards a Grand Unified Theory of fundamental interactions.
Since the 0v\b{eta}\b{eta} decay process involves nuclei, its analysis necessarily implies nuclear structure issues. In the NURE project, supported by a Starting Grant of the European Research Council (ERC), nuclear reactions of double charge-exchange (DCE) are used as a tool to extract information on the 0v\b{eta}\b{eta} Nuclear Matrix Elements. In DCE reactions and \b{eta}\b{eta} decay indeed the initial and final nuclear states are the same and the transition operators have similar structure. Thus the measurement of the DCE absolute cross-sections can give crucial information on \b{eta}\b{eta} matrix elements. In a wider view, the NUMEN international collaboration plans a major upgrade of the INFN-LNS facilities in the next years in order to increase the experimental production of nuclei of at least two orders of magnitude, thus making feasible a systematic study of all the cases of interest as candidates for 0v\b{eta}\b{eta}.

In this study, a new data set has been created by using attributes expressing overall satisfaction in Turkey Statistical Institute (TSI) Life Satisfaction Survey dataset. Attributes are sorted by Ranking search method using attribute selection algorithms in a data mining application. These selected attributes were subjected to a classification test with Naive Bayes and Random Forest from machine learning algorithms. The feature selection algorithms are compared according to the number of attributes selected and the classification accuracy rates achievable with them. In this study, which is aimed at reducing the dataset volume, the best classification result comes up with 3 attributes selected by the Chi2 algorithm. The best classification rate was 73% with the Random Forest classification algorithm.

The use of bremsstrahlung photons produced by a linac to induce photonuclear reactions is wide spread. However, using a clinical linac to produce the photons is a new concept. We aimed to induce photonuclear reactions on zinc isotopes and measure the subsequent transition energies and half-lives. For this purpose, a bremsstrahlung photon beam of 18 MeV endpoint energy produced by the Philips SLI-25 linac has been used. The subsequent decay has been measured with a well-shielded single HPGe detector. The results obtained for transition energies are in good agreement with the literature data and in many cases surpass these in accuracy. For the half-lives, we are in agreement with the literature data, but do not achieve their precision. The obtained accuracy for the transition energies show what is achievable in an experiment such as ours. We demonstrate the usefulness and benefits of employing clinical linacs for nuclear physics experiments.
