Quantum conditional mutual information (QCMI) is a versatile information theoretic measure. It is used to find the amount of correlations between two qubits from the perspective of a third qubit. In this work we characterise the QCMI of tripartite W-states when some of the qubits are under accelerated motion. Here for our investigations we consider a massless fermionic field in the single mode approximation. We consider all possible situations with respect to acceleration of the qubits. From our results we observe that QCMI can either increase or decrease depending on the role of the qubit being accelerated. Finally we discuss the connection between QCMI and correlations by studying the biseparable and separable states.

The phase synchronization of a single qubit in a dissipative bath in the absence of driving field is demonstrated. Using the Husimi $Q$-function we show that the phase preference is present in the long time limit only during non-Markovian evolution with a finite detuning. This happens due to the information backflow signifying that non-Markovianity is a resource for quantum synchronization. To quantify synchronization we use the shifted phase distribution as well as its maximal value. From the maximal value of the shifted phase distribution we observe the signatures of quantum synchronization {\it viz} the Arnold tongue. In our case the region ofsynchronization is outside the tongue region and the region inside the tongue is the desynchronized region. This is in contrast to the results in the literature, where the synchronization is within the tongue region.

A generalization of the Laplace transform based on the generalized Tsallis $q$-exponential is given in the present work for a new type of kernel. We also define the inverse transform for this generalized transform based on the complex integration method. We prove identities corresponding to the Laplace transform and inverse transform like the $q$-convolution theorem, the action of generalized derivative and generalized integration on the Laplace transform. We then derive a $q$-generalization of the inverse Laplace transform based on the Post-Widder's method which bypasses the necessity for a complex contour integration. We demonstrate the usefulness of this in computing the Laplace and inverse Laplace transform of some elementary functions. Finally we use the Post-Widder's method based inverse Laplace transform to compute the density of states from the partition function for the case of a generalized classical ideal gas and linear harmonic oscillator in $D$-dimensions.

The dynamical behavior of quantum coherence of a displaced squeezed thermal state in contact with an external bath is discussed in the present work. We use a Fano-Anderson type of Hamiltonian to model the environment and solve the quantum Langevin equation. From the solution of the quantum Langevin equation we obtain the Green's functions which are used to calculate the expectation value of the quadrature operators which are in turn used to construct the covariance matrix. We use a relative entropy based measure to calculate the quantum coherence of the mode. The single mode squeezed thermal state is studied in the Ohmic, sub-Ohmic and the super-Ohmic limits for different values of the mean photon number. In all these limits, we find that when the coupling between the system and the environment is weak, the coherence decays monotonically and exhibit a Markovian nature. When the system and the environment are strongly coupled, we observe that the evolution is initially Markovian and after some time it becomes non-Markovian. The non-Markovian effect is due to the environmental back action on the system. Finally, we also present the steady state dynamics of the coherence in the long time limit in both low and high temperature regime. We find that the qualitative behavior remains the same in both the low and high temperature limits. But quantitative values differ because the coherence in the system is lower due to thermal decoherence.

The transient dynamics of quantum coherence of Gaussian states are investigated. The state is coupled to an external environment which can be described by a Fano-Anderson type Hamiltonian. Solving the quantum Langevin equation, we obtain the Greens functions which are used to compute the time evolved first and second moments of the quadrature operators. From the quadrature operator moments, we construct the covariance matrix which is used to measure the coherence in the system. The coherence is measured using the relative entropy of coherence measure. We consider three different classes of spectral densities in our analysis viz, the Ohmic, the sub-Ohmic, and the super-Ohmic densities. In our work, we study the dynamics of the coherent state, squeezed state, and displaced squeezed state. For all these states we observe that when the coupling with the system and the environment is weak, the coherence monotonically decreases and eventually vanishes in a long time. Thus all the states exhibit Markovian evolution in the weak coupling limit. In the strong coupling limit, the dynamics for the initial period is Markovian and after a certain period, it becomes non-Markovian where we observe an environmental backaction on the system. Thus in the strong coupling limit, we observe a dynamical crossover from Markovian nature to non-Markovian behavior. This crossover is very abrupt under some environmental conditions and for some parameters of the quantum state. Using a quantum master equation approach we verify the crossover from the dynamics of the dissipation and fluctuation parameters and the results endorse those obtained from coherence dynamics.

The quantum coherence of a multipartite system is investigated when some of the parties are moving with uniform acceleration and the analysis is carried out using the single mode approximation. Due to acceleration the quantum coherence is divided into two parts as accessible and inaccessible coherence and the entire analysis has been carried out in the single-mode approximation. First we investigate tripartite systems, considering both GHZ and W-states. We find that the quantum coherence of these states does not vanish in the limit of infinite acceleration, rather asymptoting to a non-zero value. These results hold for both single- and two-qubit acceleration. In the GHZ and W-states the coherence is distributed as correlations between the qubits and is known as global coherence. But quantum coherence can also exist due to the superposition within a qubit, the local coherence. To study the properties of local coherence we investigate separable state. The GHZ state, W-state and separable states contain only one type of coherence. Next we consider the $W \bar{W}$ and star states in which both local and global coherences coexist. We find that under uniform acceleration both local and global coherence show similar qualitative behaviour. Finally we derive analytic expressions for the quantum coherence of N-partite GHZ and W-states for n < N accelerating qubits. We find that the quantum coherence of a multipartite GHZ state falls exponentially with the number of accelerated qubits, whereas for multipartite W-states the quantum coherence decreases only polynomially. We conclude that W-states are more robust to Unruh decoherence and discuss some potential applications in satellite-based quantum communication and black hole physics.

The experimentally determined masses of $J/ψ(1S)$ and $χ_{c1}(1P)$ are reproduced for $m_{c} \approx 1.1 GeV$. For $ψ(2S)$ we have three different sets of variational parameters and to choose the appropriate one we use the leptonic decay width of $ψ(2S)$ and $J/ψ(1S)$. Finally we use a spin-spin interaction to investigate the hyperfine splitting of Charmonium and use it to calculate the mass of $η_{c}(2S)$. Our theoretical results agree with the experimentally measured values of $η_{c}(2S)$ and thereby verifies the usefulness of non-relativistic quantum mechanics in the study of heavy quark meson.

The quantum coherence of the two-site XYZ model with Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya (DM) interactions in an external inhomogenous magnetic field is studied. The DM interaction, the magnetic field and the measurement basis can be along different directions, and we examine the quantum coherence at finite temperature. With respect to the spin-spin interaction parameter, we find that the quantum coherence decreases when the direction of measurement basis is the same as that of the spin-spin interaction. When the spin-lattice interaction is varied, the coherence always increases irrespective of the relation between its direction and the measurement basis. Similar analysis of quantum coherence based on the variation of the external inhomogenous magnetic field is also carried out, where we find that the coherence decreases when the direction of the measurement basis is the same as that of the external field.

Quantum coherence is the most fundamental of all quantum quantifiers, underlying other well-known quantities such as entanglement, quantum discord, and Bell correlations. It can be distributed in a multipartite system in various ways -- for example, in a bipartite system it can exist within subsystems (local coherence) or collectively between the subsystems (global coherence) and exhibits a trade-off relation. In quantum systems with more than two subsystems, there are more trade-off relations, due to the various decomposition ways of the coherence. In this paper, we experimentally verify these coherence trade-off relations in adiabatically evolved quantum systems using a spin system by changing the state from a product state to a tripartite entangled state. We study the full set of coherence trade-off relations between the original state, the bipartite product state, the tripartite product state, and the decohered product state. We also experimentally verify the monogamy inequality and show that both the quantum systems are polygamous except for the initial product state. We find that despite the different types of states involved, the properties of the state in terms of coherence and monogamy are equivalent. This illustrates the utility of using coherence as a characterization tool for quantum states.

Certain quantum states are well-known to be particularly fragile in the presence of decoherence, as illustrated by Schrodinger's famous gedanken cat experiment. It has been better appreciated more recently that quantum states can be characterized in a hierarchy of quantum quantities such entanglement, quantum correlations, and quantum coherence. It has been conjectured that each of these quantities have various degrees of fragility in the presence of decoherence. Here we experimentally confirm this conjecture by preparing tripartite photonic states and subjecting them to controlled amounts of dephasing. When the dephasing is applied to all the qubits, we find that the entanglement is the most fragile quantity, followed by the quantum coherence, then mutual information. This is in agreement with the widely held expectation that multipartite quantum correlations are a highly fragile manifestation of quantumness. We also perform dephasing on one out of the three qubits on star and $ W \bar{W} $ states. Here the distribution of the correlations and coherence in the state becomes more important in relation to the dephasing location.

A generalization of quantum discord to multipartite systems is proposed. A key feature of our formulation is its consistency with the conventional definition of discord in bipartite systems. It is by construction zero only for systems with classically correlated subsystems and is a non-negative quantity, giving a measure of the total non-classical correlations in the multipartite system with respect to a fixed measurement ordering. For the tripartite case, we show that the discord can be decomposed into contributions resulting from changes induced by non-classical correlation breaking measurements in the conditional mutual information and tripartite mutual information. The former gives a measure of the bipartite non-classical correlations and is a non-negative quantity, while the latter is related to the monogamy of the non-classical correlations.

Biological systems are typically highly open, non-equilibrium systems that are very challenging to understand from a statistical mechanics perspective. While statistical treatments of evolutionary biological systems have a long and rich history, examination of the time-dependent non-equilibrium dynamics has been less studied. In this paper we first derive a generalized master equation in the genotype space for diploid organisms incorporating the processes of selection, mutation, recombination, and reproduction. The master equation is defined in terms of continuous time and can handle an arbitrary number of gene loci and alleles, and can be defined in terms of an absolute population or probabilities. We examine and analytically solve several prototypical cases which illustrate the interplay of the various processes and discuss the timescales of their evolution. The entropy production during the evolution towards steady state is calculated and we find that it agrees with predictions from non-equilibrium statistical mechanics where it is large when the population distribution evolves towards a more viable genotype. The stability of the non-equilibrium steady state is confirmed using the Glansdorff-Prigogine criterion.

We analyze a basis-independent definition of quantum coherence. The maximally mixed state is used as the reference state, which allows for a way of defining coherence that is invariant under arbitrary unitary transformations. The basis-independent approach is applied to finding the distri- bution of the coherence within a multipartite system, where the contributions due to correlations between the subsystems and within each subsystem are isolated. The use of the square root of the Jensen-Shannon divergence allows for inequality relations to be derived between these quantities, giving a geometrical picture within the Hilbert space of the system. We describe the relationship between the basis-independent and the basis-dependent approaches, and argue that many advan- tages exist for the former method. The formalism is illustrated with several numerical examples which show that the states can be characterized in a simple and effective manner.

The distribution of coherence in multipartite systems in examined. We use a new coherence measure with entropic nature and metric properties, based on the quantum Jensen-Shannon divergence. The metric property allows for the coherence to be decomposed into various contributions, which arise from local and intrinsic coherences. We find that there are trade-off relations between the various contributions of coherence, as a function of parameters of the quantum state. In bipartite systems the coherence resides on individual sites or distributed among the sites, which contribute in a complementary way. In more complex systems, the characteristics of the coherence can display more subtle changes with respect to the parameters of the quantum state. In the case of the XXZ Heisenberg model, the coherence changes from a monogamous to a polygamous nature. This allows us to define the shareability of coherence, leading to monogamy relations for coherence.

The aim of the present work is to investigate the lowest weight representations of CGA with $d = 1$ for any integer value of $\ell$. First we focus on the reducibility of the Verma modules. We give a formula for the Shapovalov determinant and it follows that the Verma module is irreducible if $\ell = 1$ and the lowest weight is nonvanishing. We prove that the Verma modules contain many singular vectors, i.e., they are reducible when $\ell \neq 1$. Using the singular vectors, hierarchies of partial differential equations defined on the group manifold are derived. The differential equations are invariant under the kinematical transformation generated by CGA. Finally we construct irreducible lowest weight modules obtained from the reducible Verma modules.

The canonical distribution maximizing this entropy is derived and is found to be in terms of the Lambert's W function. Also the Lesche stability and the thermodynamic stability conditions are verified.
