Performance of a cryo-cooled crystal monochromator illuminated by hard X-rays with MHz repetition rate at the European X-ray Free-Electron Laser
Abstract: We present experimental data illustrating how heat load affects the performance of a cryogenically cooled monochromator under intense X-ray Free-Electron Laser pulses. The measurements are in good agreement with a depth-uniform model of X-ray dynamical diffraction taking beam absorption and heat deformation of the crystals into account.

Broadband quasi-PT Symmetry Sustained by Inhomogeneous Broadening of the Spectral Line
Abstract: It is shown that inhomogeneous broadening of the spectral line of active impurities may sustain simultaneously parity (P) and time (T) symmetries of a medium, in a finite range of field frequencies, what is forbidden by the causality principle in media without broadening. If a spectral width of a propagating pulse is less than the inhomogeneous broadening, the medium for such a pulse becomes quasi… ▽ More

Dynamical effects in Bragg coherent x-ray diffraction imaging on finite crystals
Abstract: We present simulations of Bragg Coherent X-ray Diffractive Imaging (CXDI) data from finite crystals in the frame of the dynamical theory of x-ray diffraction. The developed approach is based on numerical solution of modified Takagi-Taupin equations and can be applied for modeling of a broad range of x-ray diffraction experiments with finite three-dimensional crystals of arbitrary shape also in the… ▽ More

Spectroscopy of ultracold neutrons using diffraction by a moving grating
Abstract: Spectra of ultracold neutrons that appeared in experiments on neutron diffraction by a moving grating were measured using the time-of-flight Fourier spectrometer. Diffraction lines of five orders were observed simultaneously. The obtained data are in good agreement with the theoretical predictions based on the multiwave dynamical theory of neutron diffraction by a moving grating.

Dynamical theory of diffraction on moving grating
Abstract: In the framework of the approximation of slowly varying amplitudes a multiwave dynamical theory of neutron diffraction on a moving phase grating was developed. The influence of the velocity of the grating, its period and height of the slits on the discrete energy spectrum and intensity of various diffraction orders was analyzed.

Spectrometer for new gravitational experiment with UCN
Abstract: We describe an experimental installation for a new test of the weak equivalence principle for neutron. The device is a sensitive gravitational spectrometer for ultra-cold neutrons allowing to precisely compare the gain in kinetic energy of free falling neutrons to quanta of energy ${\hbar}Ω$ transferred to the neutron via a non stationary device, i.e. a quantum modulator. The results of first test… ▽ More
