Measure and continuous vector field at a boundary II: geodesics and support propagation
Abstract: Nonnegative measures that are solutions to a transport equation with continuous coefficients have been widely studied. Because of the low regularity of the associated vector field, there is no natural flow since nonuniqueness of integral curves is the general rule. It has been known since the works by L. Ambrosio [2] and L. Ambrosio and G. Crippa [3, 4] that such measures can be described as a sup… ▽ More

Measure and continuous vector field at a boundary I: propagation equations and wave observability
Abstract: The celebrated geometric control condition of Bardos, Lebeau, and Rauch is necessary and sufficient for wave observability [1,7] and exact controllability. It requires that any point in phase-space be transported by the generalized geodesic flow to the region of observation in some finite time. The initial smoothness (\Cinf) required on the coefficients of the metric to prove that exact control an… ▽ More

The Second Picard iteration of NLS on the $2d$ sphere does not regularize Gaussian random initial data

Semi-classical measures for inhomogeneous Schrödinger equations on tori
Abstract: The purpose of this note is to investigate the high frequency behaviour of solutions to linear Schrödinger equations. More precisely, Bourgain and Anantharaman-Macia proved that any weak-* limit of the square density of solutions to the time dependent homogeneous Schrödinger equation is absolutely continuous with respect to the Lebesgue measure on $R\times T^d$. Our contribution is that the same r… ▽ More

Injections de Sobolev probabilistes et applications
Abstract: In this article, we give probabilistic versions of Sobolev embeddings on any Riemannian manifold $(M,g)$. More precisely, we prove that for natural probability measures on $L^2(M)$, almost every function belong to all spaces $L^p(M)$, $p<+\infty$. We then give applications to the study of the growth of the $L^p$ norms of spherical harmonics on spheres $\mathbb{S}^d$: we prove (again for natural pr… ▽ More

Weighted eigenfunction estimates with applications to compressed sensing
Abstract: Using tools from semiclassical analysis, we give weighted L^\infty estimates for eigenfunctions of strictly convex surfaces of revolution. These estimates give rise to new sampling techniques and provide improved bounds on the number of samples necessary for recovering sparse eigenfunction expansions on surfaces of revolution. On the sphere, our estimates imply that any function having an s-sparse… ▽ More
