In this paper we consider a high energy scattering of free scalar particles through a gravitational field. The amplitude of the scattering in this limit is governed by reggeized gravitons. Therefore, we discuss an appearance of the reggeized gravitons in the framework of Einstein-Hilbert gravity and consider Lipatov's effective action for the reggeized gravitons. We calculate the trajectory of the corresponding $t$-channel amplitude in the framework and thereafter define the leading order amplitude of scattering of two massive scalar particles. A difference of the amplitude obtained at high energy limit from the amplitude in Newton's (low energy) limit is discussed. It is demonstrated, that the graviton's propagator reggeization leads to the amplification of the high energy amplitude. Effectively, this enhancement of the amplitude appears as a redefinition of the masses of particles involved in the scattering. An impact factor of the interaction of scalar particle with the reggeized gravitons is also calculated and possible applications of the approach are discussed as well.

The electrical characteristics of a point section of niobium oxide between a massive cathode made of a superconducting indium-tin alloy and a niobium film before the oxide breakdown and the nanocontact that appears after the breakdown of the oxide at room temperature have been studied. The dependences of the point breakdown voltage of the oxide and the resistance of nanocontacts on the method of breakdown and the thickness of the oxide in the range of 15-60 nm have been established. In particular, a minimum value of the breakdown current has been established (about 1 μA), below which breakdown does not occur. The voltage-current characteristic (VCC) of the oxide has a semiconductor character and indicates the dependence of the breakdown voltage of the oxide on its polarity. The VCC of the nanocontact is nonlinear, which is associated with phase transitions in the nanocontact material caused by its heating by the transport current.

A model of an extended manifold for the Dirac spinor field is considered. Two Lagrangians related by CPTM (charge-parity-time-mass) symmetry are constructed for a pair of the Dirac spinor fields with each spinor field defined in a separate manifold. An interaction between the matter fields in the manifolds is introduced through gravity. A fermionic effective action of the general system is constructed and a tadpole one-loop spinor diagram and part of the one-loop vacuum diagrams with two external gravitational off-shell fields which contribute to the effective action are calculated. It is demonstrated that among different versions of the second spinor Lagrangian there is a special one for which a cancellation of the mentioned diagrams in the total effective action takes place. As a result, the diagrams do not contribute to the cosmological constant, as well there is a zero contribution of the zero point energies of the spinor fields to the action. The non-zero leading order value of the cosmological constant for each manifold in the framework is proportional to the matter density of each separated manifold or difference of the densities, depending on the chosen model of interaction of gravitational fields with fermions. An appearance of the dark matter in the model is shortly discussed as well as further applications of the approach.

Fewest-switches surface hop** (FSSH) has emerged as one of the leading methods for modeling the quantum dynamics of molecular systems. While its original formulation was limited to adiabatic populations, the growing interest in the application of FSSH to coherent phenomena prompts the question how one should construct a complete density matrix based on FSSH trajectories. A straightforward solution is to define adiabatic coherences based on wavefunction coefficients. In this Paper, we demonstrate that inconsistencies introduced in the density matrix through such treatment may lead to a violation of positivity. We furthermore show that a recently proposed coherent generalization of FSSH results in density matrices that satisfy positivity, while yielding an improved accuracy throughout much (but not all) of parameter space.

Joule heat generated by resistive elements of cryogenic micro- and nanodevices often originates boiling of the cooling cryogenic liquids (helium, nitrogen). The article proposes an experimental method to explore the dynamics of the formation and development of a single vapor bubble in cryogenic liquid by sensing the temperature change of a superconducting thin-film microbridge being in the resistive state with single phase-slip center or line. It serves both the source of heat for generating single bubbles and the surface temperature sensor due to its temperature-dependant excess current. The average bubble detachment rate and the average single bubble volume were experimentally determined for nucleate helium boiling. The obtained values are in good agreement with the data of other authors found in literature.

The basic dynamical variables of the formalism are vierbein, spin connection, and an internal metric in the tangent space. The corresponding action contains new terms, which depend on these fields. In general case the signature of the metric is determined dynamically. The Minkowski signature is preferred dynamically because the configurations with the other signatures are dynamically suppressed. We also discuss briefly the motion of particles in the background of the modified black hole configuration, in which inside the horizon the signature is that of Euclidean space - time.

Theoretical possibilities of models of gravity with dynamical signature are discussed. The different scenarios of the signature change are proposed in the framework of Einstein-Cartan gravity. We consider, subsequently, the dynamical signature in the model of the complex manifold with complex coordinates and complex metric introduced, a complexification of the manifold and coordinates through new gauge fields, an additional gauge symmetry for the Einsten-Cartan vierbein fields and non-flat tangent space for the metric in the Einstein-Cartan gravity. A new small parameter, which characterizes a degree of the deviation of the signature from the background one, is introduced in all models. The zero value of this parameter corresponds to the signature of an initial background metric. In turn, in the models with gauge fields present, this parameter represents a coupling constant of the gauge symmetry group. The mechanism of metric's determination through induced gauge fields with defined signature in the corresponding models is considered. The ways of the signature change through the gauge fields dynamics are reviewed, the consequences and applications of the proposed ideas are discussed as well.

As a result of experimental studies of the single-crystal iron-chalcogenide compound FeTe0.65Se0.35, the effect of structural transitions caused by hydrogen sorption on the magnetic and current-carrying properties of a superconductor has been established. An increase in the volume-averaged effective pinning potential (and the associated critical current density) after the process of hydrogen sorption at temperatures up to 150 °C - 200 °C can be explained by the appearance of additional pinning centers due to the local action of implanted H ions on its crystal structure and electronic states. It was confirmed that hydrogenation is an efficient tool for increasing flux pining properties of superconductors.

The problem of the cosmological constant is considered in the formalism of an extended space-time consisting of the extended classical solution of Einstein equations. The different regions of the extended manifold are proposed to be related by the charge, parity, time and mass (CPTM) reversal symmetry applied with respect to the metric fields of the manifolds. There are interactions between the points of the extended manifold provided by scalar fields present separately in the different patches of the extended solution. The value of the constant is obtained equal to zero at the classical level due the mutual contribution of the fields in the vacuum energy, it's non-zero value is due the quantum interactions between the fields. There are few possible scenario for the actions of the fields are discussed. Each from the obtained variants is similar to the closed time path approach of non-equilibrium condensed matter physics and among these possibilities for the closed paths, there is a variant of the action equivalent to the formalism of Keldysh. Accordingly, we consider and shortly discuss the application of the proposed formalism to the problem of smallness of the cosmological constant and singularities problem.

We consider Riemann-Cartan gravity with minimal Palatini action, which is classically equivalent to Einstein gravity. Following the ideas of L.Lipatov \cite{LipGrav} we propose the effective action for this theory aimed at the description of the high-energy scattering of gravitating particles in the multi - Regge kinematics. For that purpose we add to the Palatini action the new terms responsible for the interaction of gravitational quanta with certain collective excitations that replace exchange by multiple gravitational excitations. We propose the heuristic explanation of its particular form based on an analogy to the reggeon field theory of QCD. We argue that Regge kinematics assumes the appearance of an effective two - dimensional model describing the high - energy scattering similar to that of QCD. Such a model may be formulated in a way leading to our final effective theory, which contains interaction between the ordinary quanta of spin connection and vielbein with their effective counterparts that pretend to the role of the gravitational reggeons.

We study the exciton localization and resulting optical response for disordered tubular aggregates of optically active molecules. It has been shown previously that such tubular structures allow for excitons delocalized over more than a thousand molecules, owing to the combined effects of long-range dipole-dipole interactions and the higher-dimensional (not truly one-dimensional) nature of the aggregate. Such large delocalization sizes prompt the question to what extent in experimental systems the delocalization may still be determined by the aggregate size (diameter and length) and how this affects the aggregate's optical response and dynamics. We perform a systematic study of the size effects on the localization properties, using numerical simulations of the exciton states in a cylindrical model structure inspired by the previously derived geometry of a cylindrical aggregate of cyanine dye molecules (C8S3). To characterize the exciton localization, we calculate the participation ratio and the autocorrelation function of the exciton wave function. Also, we calculate the density of states and absorption spectrum. We find strong effects of the tube's radius on the localization and optical properties in the range of parameters relevant to experiment. In addition, surprisingly, we find that even for tubes as long as 750 nm, the localization size is limited by the tube's length for disorder values that are relevant to experimental circumstances, while observable effects of the tube's length in the absorption spectrum still occur for tube lengths up to about 150 nm. The latter may explain changes in the optical spectra observed during the aging process of bromine-substituted C8S3 aggregates. For weak disorder, the exciton wave functions exhibit a scattered, fractal-like nature, similar to the quasi-particles in two-dimensional disordered systems.

We discuss the consequences of the charge, parity, time and mass (CPTM) extended reversal symmetry for the problems of the vacuum energy density and value of the cosmological constant. The results obtained are based on the framework with the separation of extended space-time of the interest on the different regions connected by this symmetry with the action of the theory valid for the full space-time and symmetrical with respect to the extended CPTM transformations. The cosmological constant is arising in the model due the gravitational interactions between the different parts of the space-time trough the quantum non-local vertices. It is proposed that the constant's value depends on the form and geometry of the vertices which glue the separated parts of the extended solution of Einstein equations determining in turn it's classical geometry. The similarity of the proposed model to the bimetric theories of gravitation is also discussed.

The Future Circular Collider (FCC) at CERN, a proposed 100-km circular facility with several colliders in succession, culminates with a 100 TeV proton-proton collider. It offers a vast new domain of exploration in particle physics, with orders of magnitude advances in terms of Precision, Sensitivity and Energy. The implementation plan foresees, as a first step, an Electroweak Factory electron-positron collider. This high luminosity facility, operating between 90 and 365 GeV centre-of-mass energy, will study the heavy particles of the Standard Model, Z, W, Higgs, and top with unprecedented accuracy. The Electroweak Factory $e^+e^-$ collider constitutes a real challenge to the theory and to precision calculations, triggering the need for the development of new mathematical methods and software tools. A first workshop in 2018 had focused on the first FCC-ee stage, the Tera-Z, and confronted the theoretical status of precision Standard Model calculations on the Z-boson resonance to the experimental demands. The second workshop in January 2019, which is reported here, extended the scope to the next stages, with the production of W-bosons (FCC-ee-W), the Higgs boson (FCC-ee-H) and top quarks (FCC-ee-tt). In particular, the theoretical precision in the determination of the crucial input parameters, alpha_QED, alpha_QCD, M_W, m_t at the level of FCC-ee requirements is thoroughly discussed. The requirements on Standard Model theory calculations were spelled out, so as to meet the demanding accuracy of the FCC-ee experimental potential. The discussion of innovative methods and tools for multi-loop calculations was deepened. Furthermore, phenomenological analyses beyond the Standard Model were discussed, in particular the effective theory approaches. The reports of 2018 and 2019 serve as white papers of the workshop results and subsequent developments.

In this paper we calculate the vertex of interactions of $A_+ A_+ A_-$ Reggeon fields, i.e. vertex of transition of $A_-$ Reggeon field to $A_+ A_+$ fields, to this precision. We demonstrate, that all loop leading logarithmic order contributions to the vertex can be summed through the integro-differential equation similarly to the BFKL one, \cite{BFKL}. The solution of this equation leads to the reggeized from of the vertex with the trajectory twice larger then the trajectory of reggeized gluon propagator. The SQI has been used for the first time to determine the penetration depth of a magnetic field into a film of 50% In-50% Sn alloy.

The future 100-km circular collider FCC at CERN is planned to operate in one of its modes as an electron-positron FCC-ee machine. We give an overview comparing the theoretical status to the experimental demands of one of four foreseen FCC-ee operating stages, Z-boson resonance energy physics, called the FCC-ee Tera-Z stage for short. The FCC-ee Tera-Z will deliver the highest integrated luminosities as well as very small systematic errors for a study of the Standard Model (SM) with unprecedented precision. In fact, the FCC-ee Tera-Z will allow the study of at least one more perturbative order in quantum field theory compared to the LEP/SLC precision. The real problem is that the present precision of theoretical calculations of the various SM observables does not match that of the anticipated experimental measurements. The bottle-necks to overcoming this situation are identified. In particular, the issues of precise QED unfolding and the correct calculation of SM pseudo-observables are critically reviewed. In an Executive Summary, we specify which basic theoretical calculations are needed to meet the strong experimental expectations at the FCC-ee Tera-Z. Several methods, techniques and tools needed for higher-order multi-loop calculations are presented. By inspection of the Z-boson partial and total decay width analyses, it is argued that at the beginning of operation of the FCC-ee Tera-Z, the theory predictions may be tuned to be precise enough not to limit the physics interpretation of the measurements. This statement is based on anticipated progress in analytical and numerical calculations of multi-loop and multi-scale Feynman integrals and on the completion of two-loop electroweak radiative corrections to the SM pseudo-observables this year. However, the above statement is conditional as the theoretical issues demand a very dedicated and focused investment by the community.

In this note we discuss the hypothesis of a presence of the negative mass in the Schwarzschild's spacetime following to ideas of \cite{Villata,Chardin}. In this note we discuss the hypothesis of a presence of the negative mass in the Schwarzschild's spacetime following to ideas of \cite{Villata,Chardin}. We demonstrate, that the discrete $PT$ transformation of the coordinates and mass inversion in the Schwarzschild's metric solution is equivalent to the inversion of the Kruskal-Szekeres coordinates, \cite{Kruskal}, in the full region of the solution's spacetime. As the consequence of the result, it is argued that the whole Schwarzschild spacetime can be described in terms of regions of positive and negative masses interconnected by the discrete transforms.
