Abstract:
In \cite{BC21} is shown that if $f: \mathbb{S}^{1} \rightarrow \mathbb{S}^{1}$ is a $C^{1+α}$-local diffeomorphism non-invertible and non-uniformly expanding, then there is a unique parameter $t_{0} \in (0 , 1]$ such that the topological pressure function $\mathbb{R} \ni t \mapsto P_{top}(f , -t\log|Df|)$ is not analytic, in particular $f$ has phase transition with respect to potential…

On the other hand, by the works \cite{KQW21,KQ22}, for continuous potentials the topological pressure function can be wild; in particular, it can be infinite phase transitions. In this paper, we study the possibilities of behaviour of the topological pressure function and transfer operator for transitive local diffeomorphism with break points on the circle and Holder continuous potentials. In particular, we showed that: 1-that there is an open and dense subset of continuous potentials such that if a Holder continuous potential belongs to subset then it has no phase transition and the transfer operator has spectral gap property; 2-for Holder continuous potentials, not cohomologous to constant, the existence of a phase transition is equivalent to the topological pressure function not being strictly convex; 3-if a Holder continuous potential has phase transition, then the topological pressure function and the transfer operator associated have behaviour similar to \cite{BC21}. Consequently, every Holder continuous potential has at most two phase transitions and the set of smooth potential such that $\mathcal{L}_{f,φ}$ has spectral gap, acting on the Holder continuous space, is dense in the uniform topology. Furthermore, we obtain applications for multifractal analysis of Birkhoff's average.

We prove that the space of $C^1$-surface diffeomorphisms admitting phase transitions is a $C^1$-Baire generic subset of the space of non-Anosov diffeomorphisms. In particular, if $S$ is a compact surface which is not homeomorphic to the 2-torus then a $C^1$-generic diffeomorphism on $S$ has phase transitions. We obtain similar statements in the context of $C^1$--volume preserving diffeomorphisms. Finally, we prove that a $C^2$-surface diffeomorphism exhibiting a dominated splitting admits phase transitions if and only if has some non-hyperbolic periodic point.

It is known that all uniformly expanding or hyperbolic dynamics have no phase transition with respect to Hölder continuous potentials. In \cite{BC21}, is proved that for all transitive $C^{1+α}-$local diffeomorphism $f$ on the circle, that is neither a uniformly expanding map nor invertible, has a unique thermodynamic phase transition with respect to the geometric potential, in other words, the topological pressure function $\mathbb{R} \ni t \mapsto P_{top}(f,-t\log|Df|)$ is analytic except at a point $t_{0} \in (0 , 1]$. Also it is proved spectral phase transitions, in other words, the transfer operator $\mathcal{L}_{f,-t\log|Df|}$ acting on the space of Hölder continuous functions, has the spectral gap property for all $t<t_0$ and does not have the spectral gap property for all $t\geq t_0$. Our goal is to prove that the results of thermodynamical and spectral phase transitions imply a multifractal analysis for the Lyapunov spectrum. In particular, we exhibit a class of partially hyperbolic endomorphisms that admit thermodynamical and spectral phase transitions with respect to the geometric potential, and we describe the multifractal analysis of your central Lyapunov spectrum.

In this paper we show that given a local diffeomorphism $f$ on the circle, that is neither a uniformly expanding dynamics nor invertible, the topological pressure function $\mathbb{R} \ni t \mapsto P_{top}(f , -t\log |Df|)$ is not analytical. In other words, $f$ has a thermodynamic phase transition with respect to geometric potential. Assuming that $f$ is transitive and that $Df$ is Hölder continuous, we show that there exists $ t_{0} \in (0 , 1]$ such that the transfer operator $\mathcal{L}_{f, -t\log|Df|}$, acting on the space of Hölder continuous functions, has the spectral gap property for all $t < t_{0}$ and has not the spectral gap property for all $t \geq t_{0}$. Similar results are also obtained when the transfer operator acts on the space of bounded variations functions and smooth functions. In particular, we show that in the transitive case $f$ has a unique thermodynamic phase transition and it occurs in $t_{0}$. In addition, if the loss of expansion of the dynamics occurs because of an indifferent fixed point or the dynamics admits an absolutely continuous invariant probability with positive Lyapunov exponent then $t_0 = 1.$

In this article we initially fix ourselves to smooth (C^r) expanding dynamical systems. We prove the C^{r-1} differentiability of the topological pressure, equilibrium states and their densities with respect to smooth expanding dynamical systems and any smooth potential (C^{r-1}- linear response formula wiyh respect to the dynamics, and analytical response formula with respect to the potential). This is done by proving the regularity of the dominant eigenvalue of the transfer operator with respect to dynamics and potential. From that, we obtain strong consequences on the regularity of the dynamical system statistical properties, that apply in more general contexts. Indeed, we prove that the average and variance obtained from the central limit theorem vary $C^{r-1}$ with respect to the $C^{r}-$expanding dynamics and $C^{r}-$potential, and also, there is a large deviations principle with its rate $C^{r-1}$ with respect to the dynamics and potential. An application for multifractal analysis is given.

As a consequence we establish a level-1 large deviations principle for hyperbolic flows and every continuous observable, and also a level-2 large deviations lower bound. Finally, since many non-uniformly hyperbolic flows can be modeled as suspension flows we also provide criteria for such flows to satisfy uniform and non-uniform versions of the gluing orbit property.

In this article we prove estimates for the topological pressure of the set of points whose Birkhoff time averages are far from the space averages corresponding to the unique equilibrium state that has a weak Gibbs property. In particular, if $f$ has an expanding repeller and $φ$ is an Hölder continuous potential we prove that the topological pressure of the set of points whose accumulation values of Birkhoff averages belong to some interval $I\subset \mathbb R$ can be expressed in terms of the topological pressure of the whole system and the large deviations rate function. As a byproduct we deduce that most irregular sets for maps with the specification property have topological pressure strictly smaller than the whole system. Some extensions to a non-uniformly hyperbolic setting, level-2 irregular sets and hyperbolic flows are also given.

In this paper we study the ergodic theory of a robust non-uniformly expanding maps where no Markov assumption is required. We prove that the topological pressure is differentiable as a function of the dynamics and analytic with respect to the potential. Moreover we not only prove the continuity of the equilibrium states and their metric entropy as well as the differentiability of the maximal entropy measure and extremal Lyapunov exponents with respect to the dynamics. We also prove a local large deviations principle and central limit theorem and show that the rate function, mean and variance vary continuously with respect to observables, potentials and dynamics. Finally, we show that the correlation function associated to the maximal entropy measure is differentiable with respect to the dynamics and it is $C^1$-convergent to zero. In addition, precise formulas for the derivatives of thermodynamical quantities are given.
